But I've just gotta share the great experience my family had with Ode and crew. We found out about this place word-of-mouth from a friend of a friend. It's not close to home but estimated quote was to save us $1000 on a repair that the dealer quoted as much higher, and was well worth the trip out to Kenmore/Riverside! We have a 2004 Jeep Wrangler, 80K miles, manual speed. After several non-helpful and expensive trips to the Jeep dealer (I will also review their service department!), we found out the Jeep needed a new clutch. The dealer quoted $1700... Grand Prix quoted $750!!!!!!!!!! Not only was Grand Prix's service EXCEPTIONAL but they saved us $900, knew what they were doing (the dealer claimed several additional things needed to be done to the Jeep and Grand Prix said nothing of the sort- but Grand Prix was right!), and finally after years of shoddy service at the dealer where they said they just had no way of fixing things to make the Jeep drive better, the Jeep now drives like it's new!!!! We couldn't be more happy that we saved a ton of money, this place has a great reputation, the mechanics are honest and have REAL skill, and that our car that we were about to sell is now purring like a kitten instead of hacking like a old dying cat! No seriously, these guys are the best. I was referred by someone from my work that I've only met once. I'm so glad I took this guy's advice. When I had my Jeep last year, went to dealership for what I thought would be qil change and inspection (which were free there)...after waiting an hour, I was told I needed over $3,000 in repairs, none of which were covered under warranty, and all needed to be done immediately to pass inspection. Without having the means to do that, and the rude and confrontational service, I drove my car off the lot sans sticker, right over to Yianni. After a short wait, Yianni basically told me a few things needed to be replaced, but others could wait. Estimate was about $700- he was sweet enough to make a call for me and found out the majority of repairs WERE covered under my warranty! I walked out of there paying $250 and change out of pocket!! Are you kidding me?! These guys are straight up honest and their work is always good. They pretty much fit me in whenever and always know just what to do. With my current car, they had ordered a part, I was nervous about going away for the weekend and they got me in and out in less than 2 hours to do this. I had an issue with the convertible top last summer and they only charged me a small amount to have looked at it and lubed it. Dealer wanted over $100 just to bring it in BEFORE they'd even figure out what was wrong. I can't say enough about this place! I love Yianni, Ody and Vas...they're the best. Reminds me, gotta call them for new tires! Ha!

I worked with Gabe, who is absolutely fantastic. He was compassionate, understanding, and never talked down to me. he just explained things clearly and went out of his way to make sure everything was easy on my end. The work on my car was top-notch--it looks amazing! They even detailed the inside, which was such a nice surprise. I'm really grateful for the care and service I received and would definitely recommend them. If you need work done, definitely go see Gabe and the crew at Gerber on Hertel Avenue in Buffalo. But this Gerber nailed it: good communication, good COVID practices, good repair work. We dropped off the car, were driven to get a rental by the insurance agent, and got our car back with advice for followup care a full day ahead of their earlier estimate. They even cleaned inside, which was a courtesy I had not expected. I cannot speak to how competitive the costs were (I was not paying the insurance tab), but I have nothing but good things to say about the experience overall.

That being said, I am giving them a 4 star review because of the communication I had with them. It took about 6 weeks to finish my car up because of some delays for the parts coming in. That is out of their control, which I understand. However, I was told for almost 2 weeks to "call tomorrow" and that the part "should be in our hands today". Obviously this didn't happen, and I felt frustrated being told again and again that the part is coming today and the car should be ready tomorrow. Overall I am satisfied with the work that they did and happy with the price of the service (even though I'm not paying it directly). Have been working with this shop for a little while…read more I first started working with them in February of 2019 and they got my wiper motor fixed -- after a while, the part seemingly failed but they replaced it with no charge, which was kind of them despite the part itself failing not being their fault. I've since back back for misc tire maintenance, oil changes, inspections, etc and they do a standup job. Most recently, I got my annual inspection done here. My only complaint was I had no idea their waiting room was closed (due to covid) when I booked it, so I had to scramble to find someone to pick me up last minute. Also, I am not sure whether they inspected my tires carefully or put them up to pressure since one of my tires seems kind of low shortly after the service. Despite that, I have enjoyed my experiences here. I do wish communication was sometimes a tad better, but I think they do a good job and trust their opinions.

Wow!!! I just picked up my car from the repair shop. This was the first repair I needed in my life…read more(and unfortunately on my brand new car) so I wasn't sure what the end product would look like. However, Gerber did not disappoint!!! Everything looked brand new again. When I picked it up, the car was super clean on the inside and out. I am super impressed with the detail and care to bring my car back to new. Service was great. I was informed constantly about when my car was going to be expected, and the receptionist would leave a message if I did not pick up. I guess the only downside was that my car was in the shop for 1 month instead of an expected 1 week, but as long as they took care of it, I was satisfied. The location is also right in the same lot as Enterprise so it made renting a car and drop off easy and quick. Thanks again Gerber!
