WOMEN, STAY AWAY. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. I was hit by an impaired driver, resulting in extensive damage to my car. Friend recommended Gabe's... but he meant the Sheridan shop, not the Genesee location. I realized this too late. Towing company brought it to Genesee. 2 days later, I went to retrieve personal belongings from the car at Gabe's. Among those items was a gym bag with 2 full changes of clothes, etc. in the back seat. When I arrived at Gabe's, I was instructed to go out to the back lot to the car. I found that the gym bag had been rifled through and a pair of my underwear were removed from the bag and fitted over the headrest of my passenger seat, on display. WHO DOES THIS?!? When brought to the manager's attention, he said, "oh the towing company probably did that.. not my guys..." Well, I have photos of my car when the tow company had it... and this is NOT the case. Its repulsive behavior. My vehicle was rife with shoddy workmanship. Exterior parts are all misaligned, not clipped properly, and I had to take it back twice for parts they "forgot" to put on once they were discovered. The worst of their negligence resulted in my entire front bumper lip FALLING OFF and getting jammed up under my car as I was going 75mph on the highway. Of course. They took no responsibility for this either. This shop continually spoke down to me as if I had no clue about any of their procedures or the repair work being done... what they didn't know was that I work in the industry. All my concerns were brushed aside, but whenever my boyfriend called, they tripped over themselves to help. NOT a female-friendly shop. read more

If I could give Gabe's no stars I would. I'v been to Gabe's before with positive results but not this time. Their repair job cracked and was very uneven. The manager was rude and condescending. Everyone is friendly until there's a problem with their work, then they turn on you. And turn on me the manager did. What a lier he is. They will NOT stand by their work if there is a problem. My insurance company does not associate with Gabe's and will not guarantee their work. What good is a guarantee from Gabe's if they lie and not take responsibility for their work. I had to have the job redone at great expense by myself. The collision shop I went to explained why the work Gabe's did was so poor and why the paint cracked. I now have a lifetime guarantee that my Insurance company will back up. Why would anyone take a chance having work done at Gabe's with a lying manager that gives ridiculous excuses for poor workmanship. I have been lucky that in my over 10 years of driving that I have never had a collision, but I had a minor fender bender last week. It was not my fault and luckily insurance got things going quickly, but it is never a fun experience to deal with extra appointments and not having your own vehicle. The person that hit me had GEICO, so after they accepted full liability, they arranged for it to get fixed. They gave me some options where they had their "express service" centers for repairs, and Gabe's was one of them. Being close to work and my house, I set up an appointment through GEICO. They have basically a GEICO office right inside and right through a side door is an Enterprise Rent A Car office. An all in one stop if you will. I made my appointment and it couldn't have been easier. Gabe's had the work done in two days as promised and it looked excellent. While the damage was minor, it was still 3 parts of my car. The cherry on top was they cleaned the entire interior and exterior of my car. Like, if I would have paid Delta Sonic nearly $100 for their services, but it was better. Even the ice shield tarp and beach towel I had shoved in the floor of the backseat were neatly folded up! It was sort of a mess so it was not an easy job, but they made my day with that. I know this experience is a little better when you aren't the one paying the deductible, but it made a crappy situation better. They and GEICO guarantee the repairs for as long as I own my car. I will keep Gabe's in mind for the future. Everyone I dealt with was professional and I was pleased to get my car looking new again in just a couple of days. read more

The work that was done to my vehicle may have been good, other than the fact that the Camaro letters weren't put onto the car correctly(you can tell because each letter is not aligned properly and they're not parallel with the bumper, you can tell by the other one, and just looking at it), it was a delay after delay with the eta of completion which got extensively irritating, first it was supposed to be done this day, then oh, then this day, then this day. I was told a total of 5 different times when it was supposed to be don't. Which makes you think they honestly just forgot about your vehicle and didn't bother to get shit done or work on it when they said they would. And also don't forget the fact that they COMPLETELY missed a part that was necessary for the bumper cover. No idea how they missed that. But they did. And they had to get a new part shipped from GM. I arrived almost an hour early to drop off my 2010 Elantra and everything was ready with no issues. I was in and out before my scheduled appointment even started! I liked that they explain the repairs and the extent of the damage before you even leave the shop. I then went next door and my rental was ready immediately as well. Very convenient. I never let them work on my car because they wanted me to sign a waiver releasing them from any liability for damages caused to my car while in their possession. When I question the clause stating they were not responsible for "any damage to my car or any contents...." I was told "that's just in case something happens to your car while it is here in the garage or on the lot...." No kidding. Apparently their employees can't be trusted not to damage customers' cars or steal stuff out of them, and they have insufficient security for them to feel confident that customers' cars won't be vandalized while on their lot. Such a clause is no different than a bank saying "we'll be glad to deposit your money in your checking account, but first you have to sign a waiver agreeing that the bank is not responsible if the money is stolen by one our employees or mysteriously disappears." Not only should all consumers refuse to sign such outrageous agreements, but it is a sign that the business can't be trusted in the first place. I was sent to Gabe's Collision by GEICO because one of their insured's backed into my car at a car wash. I called GEICO to let them know I would not leave my car with a collision shop that thought so little of its ability to take care of my car that it wanted me to sign a waiver of liability for any damage the collision shop might cause. The GEICO phone rep said he fully agreed that such a clause was outrageous. He said that I wouldn't have to sign the clause and that he would call the GEICO representative on the premises to straighten it out. A few minutes later he called back to tell me that he was told that Gabe's collision requires everyone to sign the waiver of its liability because Gabe's collision does not want to be responsible for damages it causes to customers cars. One star is way to high a rating for a business with that attitude. read more

I will never take my vehicle there again nor would I recommend them to anyone. I had some issues from the first time they fixed my vehicle that needed to be addressed. After they contacted the other partys insurance and had the approval, they sat and waited a week to find out what needed to replaced. They then put it back together and gave me my vehicle back until the parts came in. When the parts did arrive, I was told that it would take 1-2 days top to fix. I didn't get it back until 10 days later! They didn't care that I had to lease a vehicle until I got mine back because the other party's insurance was paying for the lease and they (Gabe's Collision) wasn't in a hurry to fix my vehicle. The insurance company refused to pay for the lease so I'm out of pocket for that expense. I fought with both, Gabes Collision and the insurance company. I refuse to support a business that cheats the customer and everyone else. read more

I had 2 relatively small scrapes to the left rear and right front fender/bumper regions from parking lot mishaps--one my fault and one by an unknown culprit. I have a 2004 Lexus SC430 in mint condition and wanted a good job done. I had to self-pay for this job so I got 3 estimates. Gabe's was about 50% lower than one of the major Buffalo collision shops; they were more friendly and efficient and promised to have the work done in 2 1/2 days. The work was done perfectly and they shined and cleaned the car so it looked like new. They called to update me on the progress and when the work was done. An onsite Enterprise rental car was available at a discounted price. Overall, I could not have been more pleased. read more
