The work we had him do involved re-fitting some radiator pipes for a new radiator, installing a Slantfin 30 radiator, removing a cast iron radiator, and capping off some un-used branches from our HW heating system. Chris came, gave us an estimate of the level of effort and worked with us as had some project hiccups and scheduling issues we encountered. I appreciate that the whole time Chris was very honest about how much time parts of the job would take, what his rate was and how he passed on materials costs. I always take it as a good sign when a contractor is very honest and communicative - two things Chris excels at. He showed up on time, ready to work and worked steadily. After he was finished with the radiator install, he fired up the boiler and helped us bleed the air out of the system, taking his time to ensure the boiler filled properly, fired up, and started to heat our home. He also wanted to test the radiator he had installed for us to ensure that most of all, his work was done correctly. I appreciated his attention to detail and willingness to stick around and ensure the job was done correctly. Overall, we found Chris to be an awesome guy, and a reliable and knowledgable plumber. We will be going to him for all of our plumbing needs for years to come.

At the first visit we were told by an employee that we would have to replace our garbage disposal, which turned out not to be correct. At our second call, the issue was not resolved (by Chris himself), and he had to send an employee out again the next day. Would not have been a big deal but on our third try with Belli, they refused to go out and get the needed part. That's standard for a plumber. But suddenly they had a new policy that they would not make any purchases because supposedly another client was unhappy with a prior purchase. They refused to listen when I told them I didn't care what they purchased, and Chris never bothered to respond to my email. Needless to say, we immediately hired another plumber who came right out (after purchasing the part) and did a great job, and this was our last attempt to work with Belli.

There was an issue with one of our services. We needed a new water heater. They put me on the schedule as early as they could and even called me a day earlier than scheduled to get me in. Unfortunately there was an issue with the tank after the install. Not anything they did wrong just a faulty piece. They busted their butts to make sure they got the part they needed from the manufacturers faster than they offered and came back right away to make it work. No delaying saying they had to wait. Great experience and will definitely be using them for all our needs!

I had 3 minisplits installed in Aug of 2023, which recently displayed an error code. After paying Obie $360 for a diagnostic test, we were told we "likely" had a leak, and we'd have to pay $3600 for a leak search. If it's a defective installation, Obie covers the costs, but if they installed a defective product that failed less than 2 years after install, then we are responsible for the search ($3600) and labor costs associated with fixing the leak, as well as refilling the refrigerant that leaked. They confirmed this scenario would cost me approximately $6000 in total. We pay Obie monthly for regular maintenance as members, most recently a few months ago. Their warranty for labor is 1 year, so if your relatively new system fails, you may be on the hook for several thousands dollars for both search and repair. Obie does cover this issue if it's an installation issue, but we have to pay $3600 for the search to find out. After expressing our disappointment, they offered to do the search for $1975, but if they discover a product failure, this will cost us $3000-4000 more, which doesn't sit well with us considering this system failed due to no fault of ours and with their company's own regularly scheduled maintenance. My advice would be to look elsewhere for a company that has a longer labor warranty and is willing to provide more assurances on how they will address complications if their product or installation becomes defective within the first few years. Obie sold us on these units to last at least 10 years with good maintenance, and now feel I was essentially sold a lemon. I asked to speak with the owner, and was told he was out of the country, then was subsequently told he wouldn't be involved/ would not call me to discuss. I've maintained the search be done at no cost to us, and I'd pay for the labor of a product issue, which I find more than reasonable for a new system, but they prefer to lose my business, my referrals, and my monthly payments for maintenance. I will credit them that communication has been prompt with their operations team, but their expectation for customers to pay thousands of dollars to find a leak on $20k unit installed less than 2 years ago, and potentially paying thousands more to fix it, feels unprofessional, and frankly unethical. As a customer, this is simply not good customer service nor a good value for my money. They will respond to my review that they will stand by their installation but since, I'm out of 1 year labor warranty, but if it's a product issue, I'm expected to assume it the cost of the search, the labor costs, and the refrigerant refill ($1200-2200 alone) so just be warned. I asked to speak with the salesperson who I worked with, as we had good rapport, but I was told he doesn't work for Obie anymore.. also unfortunate. I hoped that Obie would want to partner with us to make this right, but instead customers are expected to absorb excessive costs. Again, I could understand this for an old system with wear and tear, but this was installed less than 2 years ago. Look elsewhere.

When I found it and asked to get the money back, they reluctantly agreed, but placed me on the do not service list. Message received: to continue being their client, you HAVE TO BE OVERCHARGED.
