Very difficult situation as I NEED this ticket for work they cased so much stress, go to St Johns or somewhere professional there is a reason this is cheaper than the others :/ This was not fun or easy if the owner is teaching "good luck" it looks like he is strung out on steroids:/ angry aggressive taught the class with a concussion was ot of it for first half of the week other half of the week he was SCREAMING several ppl caught his wrath very bad class, I took it 2x as the first time was just wrong uber stressful so after lots of looking I just found a great job BUT I needed the ticket for my new job and they will not provide me with a copy of my ticket or my ticket until i pay extra fees. I needed to take the exam 2x as the instructor wanted to date,( TRE STORY!) really was there a lot to learn & I was nervous as I had no interest in dating, just wanted first aid so now I need to re- do & pay a extra fee, thats going to happen to 30-50% as there not great at teaching. I explained i did not have it, there extra fee but I just got a good job & wold pay as soon as I started working as I was not expecting the extra fee, (and make sure you budget that as they do he he they expect half to fail de to lack of instruction) anyway I found a great job just needed a copy of my ticket and they refused to give it to me I started to cry &explained that I wold pay the extra as soon as I started working & he wanted me to leave so I quietly sat there he called the police and he made a scene,demand i go said its a "principle:" its a business and they need the money, yes he deserves his fees, bt all I needed was a few weeks of working I offered a post dated cheque& I think he is the very worst person I have ever had to deal with in a very long time, I still have no ticket eh :/ when I was emailing about the ticket she told me if it was not paid in in 30 days she wold call WCB null it, she cant do that but lied to me anyway, huge amount of stress thank God my job will take me far from here! I just recently got certified as OFA2 and it's all thanks to Tommy. Tommy creates a fun and casual classroom atmosphere and he definitely cares about what he preaches. He 100% knows what he's talking about and can answer any and all questions that are even remotely related. He is even able to draw on his past experiences to help us visualise our material. Our class was mostly practical, and when he demonstrated a key skill, he would show it multiple times and he made sure everyone saw. If there were any questions he answered them promptly and made it easy to understand. There is a lot of material to cover and if you feel lost, that's okay, Tommy will review everything multiple times and concisely answer your questions. I heard from others that OFA2 training was hard and the test was brutal but I did not think that at all during my time. While I did not choose MTS (my employer chose), I would definitely recommend Metro Safety Training to anyone looking for a fun, casual, easy going environment and an instructor who could even teach CPR to a rock. I recently completed my OFA level 3 through Metro safety. I was impressed by the program and the care of the instructor. This was my first time doing any sort of first aid training and I had difficulties in the beginning. I felt the support and help needed throughout the program. The instructor genuinely cared about our learning and was even kind enough to allow us to stay additional hours. I recently took OFA Level 3 at Metro safety to pursue a career in the film and television industry. I was on a time crunch to get my training done. Starting my first aid training I was very nervous, if I didn't pass I could not start work right away. I took the OFA level one course last month and I am terrible at tests, but I was very impressed with my teacher Parm. He took the time to make sure I was fully prepared to go into the exam and I passed it on the first try! That's a big thing for me. Very nice staff. Professional and caring teacher.
