There are some really fine people there. They are very accepting and knowledgeable in their fields. There are no complaints, only praise. Most of my issues come from dealing with the administration staffs, particularly the people in charge of student registration. Most of them seem either very unhappy and just plain dismissive. My dad was rejected domestic tuition despite his PR status still being valid and is renewing. The person in charge didn't even let him explain and immediately just decided to disallow him to register in some courses. He had to contact another person who is a senior supervisor to get it sorted out. Immigrants have to through this sort of bureaucracy everyday and to see it happen in an institution of learning is disheartening. Regardless, it won't affect my opinion of VCC. I still think it is a great place for post-secondary education. I just hope that the staff will be more caring and mindful in the future.

You search the type of class you want and pick the location and date from what they have available. My class was supposed to be two days, but out of the 5 people that showed up only 2 of us were doing standard. So the teacher asked if we would be willing to stay late and finish it all up in one day. I mean of course! It was great to get it over and saved my Sunday. The teacher, Rita, was funny so learning the material was enjoyable! I definitely felt prepared for the test at the end.
