Took an Occupational First Aid level 1 course here and it was awesome, here's why:…read more- excellent instructor who had a sense of humor - course material was easy to understand - lots of hands on work - got to watch videos - breaks through out the day A few negative things: - 1 instructor with a large class - ratio of males to females was 5:1 - students in the class were older tradesmen who really didn't want to be there - some students had a hard time comprehending the material as their English was very poor I'll be back to take more courses in the future

To take standard first aid and CPR C I paid around $130 which is 30 bucks cheaper than what I saw on st. John's ambulance. Signing up for a class is super easy. You search the type of class you want and pick the location and date from what they have available. My class was supposed to be two days, but out of the 5 people that showed up only 2 of us were doing standard. So the teacher asked if we would be willing to stay late and finish it all up in one day. I mean of course! It was great to get it over and saved my Sunday. The teacher, Rita, was funny so learning the material was enjoyable! I definitely felt prepared for the test at the end. Definitely recommend if your looking to take a first aid class for the first time or update your first aid skills.

Refused to credit the course I would take to qualify and refused any other options like take the course with no pass until i take the required first aid course. I will never do any training with Lit again.

If I could give a negative rating I would. Having been an instructor for 20 years, and having to…read moreregularly re-certify my courses, I can safely say AVOID LIT. I have done multiple courses with this company - many of which were delivered by unenthusiastic and novice instructors who, while they are knowledgeable about the subject matter, lack the teaching skills to effectively engage their participants. Most recently, I registered for a course 4 days prior (with space) - on the day of I received an email indicating that the course was full and I was out of luck. If you need to re-certify, go with community centres that don't outsource to LIT!
