We were so stressed, tired and nervous everyday but his sense of humor eased it and that was big help honestly. For the registration for the course, there was some glitch or confusion. Text book was PDF file from Work Safe BC and you can study by yourself in advance. It has more than 300 pages. In the actual class, based on what we pre read on it, the instructor gave us more detail and group discussion. No table and nor desk in the classroom. Be sure to wear something comfortable and ok clothing to get dirty. We lay down on the floor a lot where we walk with the shoes. For long hair students, better to tie at beginning. There is big enough lunch room for the one class (about 12 people) which includes the bending machines, hot water kettle, microwave oven and fridge. At the reception desk, you can ask getting the certification laminate and costs $2 cash only.

An Exceptional First Aid Training Course…read more I had an incredible experience with the first aid training, thanks to Ms. Amandeep's outstanding teaching. Her clear instructions and warm, professional demeanor made it easy to understand essential first aid skills, from proper glove handling to effective communication during emergencies and scene management. The provided comprehensive 18-chapter material was immensely helpful, and the practical knowledge I gained feels invaluable. Ending with a 30-minute test, I successfully passed and received a certificate. Huge thanks to Amandeep and the training center for equipping me with life-saving skills that benefit both my personal and professional life.

I would never have spent money on a provider that employers do not recognize; I specifically spent more money and an additional day of my time to increase my chances of getting hired, and now I have to repay a whole new certification as this is not even recognized as the most basic one; it is a worthless piece of paper in terms of employment. Having delivered other (non-First Aid) certification courses myself, I was very impressed with how he is able to go over a huge amount of material in a short period while keeping everyone in the course interested, engaged and entertained. Our group had a wide range of experience, both with first aid as well as general knowledge of the backcountry, but Kieran managed to ensure everyone was catered to and came away with a wealth of new skills. The attention to detail in not only setting up the scenario's but bringing everyone on-board to treat them seriously results in a fantastic learning experience. I highly recommend taking any course with Kieran and look forward to signing up to the advanced WFA.
