Do not! And I mean DO NOT use this company!!! They are terrible, absolutely awful! Very unprofessional owner who does not take any accountability of his "employees". Here are the reasons to NOT USE THIS COMPANY: 1. They quoted me 2 guys and then showed up at the move with 3 guys without even telling me or forewarning me that this was going to be a higher quote. I was fine with it Bc I figured this would get the work done quicker. But thought that it was unprofessional and not the best way to start out a business transaction. 2. One of the guys got a bloody nose on the job, and blood was all over the hallway, elevator, and on my plastic wrap that was covering my fireplace, in which he just threw in the parking garage and never told care of it (see pictures) I understand bloody noses happen, but he had blood everywhere, all over his hands in which he never washed his hands throughout the entire move and continued to touch and move my personal belongings. Then to make this situation worse, I found out on my return back to my old apartment from a neighbor that he and his peer were "fighting, jumping on each other" in the hallway of my apartment building which had caused the nose bleed. When I called to tell the owner about this, he didn't take any accountability basically said people get bloody noses and that my neighbor was lying about the fighting in the hallway. Why would she lie?!? And who wants blood on their personal belongings, this is a biohazard and the owner refused to understand rather APOLOGIZE for any of this circumstance. 3.Found out at the storage unit (end of the move) that they didn't wrap my box spring/mattress in bags, when they had quoted me the bags and said that they would do that for me. If I had known that, I would have wrapped them myself, now my mattress & box spring are dirty from riding in the truck as well as sitting in storage for 4 months. I have no idea how they will be when I move my stuff out of storage. 4. Noticed that a piece of my dresser's leg was missing and that had broken off. I asked one of the movers and he got all defensive and said he didn't do it and that I shouldn't blame them. Which I just asked if they knew what happened, never pointed fingers or told them they did it. When I got to the storage unit, I found the piece under the dresser; looked like it had been kicked or wetunder the dresser so I wouldn't noticed. When I confronted him with the broken piece, he yelled at me and said that I had found it and put it there. Just ridiculous. I called and talked to the owner about this and he never took any accountability and told me that wasn't included in the insurance that I had purchased. He said he would glue it back on but they usually don't do that. Was more appalled how I was treated by the mover and the owner in all these circumstances. I had to go through a lawyer to get things settled with this company. It was a waste of time and honestly these people are some of the worst, unethical people I have ever worked with in any business. If the owner knew how to be apologetic and take accountability maybe this could have been a different experience. However when he did try to make things right, took the mattress bags and box spring bag off the quote, and glue the broken piece of dresser back on... I thought this was a pathetic effort. All he cares about was getting paid and didn't care about the service or the BLOOD that was all over my stuff. There are many moving companies out there... choose someone ELSE!!! Attempted to get a quote from Metro. After originally setting up an appointment for them to come give an estimate we were contacted by Walt who asked us if we already had someone lined up to move us. We told him that we were comparing moving companies at this time and Walt informed us that "he has been doing this for many years and is not interested in just giving us a quote." I very rarely write a negative review however this lack of professionalism is worth noting. read more

We were given a quote, and when the truck showed up were told a very different story. We were told that, all-in-all, it would be about $1,000 more than the quote. There were a handful of reasons for this, none of which were acceptable and almost all of which could have been avoided with improved communication. The folks from Metro Moving were great and very easy to work with. Mine being a corporate move, dealing with the other entity, Grace Moving was not pleasant. Chris Castille, Grace Moving, was almost impossible to reach and dealing with him was not pleasant. Relocation Management Worldwide, Inc, Amanda Glass, was the other entity I had to deal with? I think her role in this was filing my claim, which was minor, but still waiting. Overall, I would recommend Metro Moving. read more

I originally went with a company that had good reviews, but they messed up on getting a move scheduled, so I called Metro Moving. They got all my info right and were at my house on time. I cannot reccomend this moving company. Here is my experience: Things I was pronise: On my initial walkthrough I was told we would have 5 packers and one large semi truck. They were able to take apart my entertainment unit, they would provide wardrobe boxes and I didnt have to pack my hanging clothes. We both are 67 and needed all the help we could get. It sounded good so I choose this company. What actually happened: On the day of moving they showed up with 2 uhauls. These were movers who were contracted out and new 2 Metro. 1 mover was only available for the truck load. Unfortunately he was the one who took apart my entertainment unit - this resulted in not being assemled properly, no wardrobe boxes - they did not take any of my hanging clothes ( on their website they say the are experience in senior moves)my grill was left behind ( my 67 year old husband is trying to lift it as we speak), they scratched several pieces of furniture ( i cant prove this because i didnt take pictures before) ,4 guys was not enough ( they had to rush and worked too fast) .I felt bad for the workers. It didnt cost as much as I was quoted but I would of paid more for better service. I had to ask them to assemble one of my beds. So the moral of the story , I just cant recommend this company. Sorry. We just discovered at our old house they ran over the sprinkler system and left huge tire ruts in the grass. read more

I was given a quote for an out of state move. All ok until I needed to just go back to storage in the same place my things started from. I had a very expensive Marble table broken, literally cracked in half, because either they dropped it or because of the way they threw it around. Had this table for 30 years and its been moved it all over the country numerous times. Never a problem until now. Definitely not recommended for the carelessness and lack of customer service. Moved from Colorado to Arizona and, overall, it was a very good move. We had no real damage and could find nothing missing when it arrived. The teams that packed, loaded and delivered were excellent. I would rate them a 5 except they underestimated how move they could fit on the first truck and we had to wait about 10 days for the remainder. Interestingly, the driver of the first truck recognized this and loaded everything he felt we would want right away. He did a great job with his selections. read more

We had a messy move under a time constraint with a hospitalization thrown in just to further complicate matters. Our first moving team rocked it, but we ran out of time. I was referred over to Metro Moving & Storage, as they had some limited (last minute) availability. I talked with one of their people for about 45 minutes to explain the situation. I went room-by-room while on the phone, and we came up with a good game plan to have their movers help us finish packing & move the remainder of our belongings. I was told that this moving team had a smaller move scheduled for the following morning, and that they were going to show up with a dozen or so wardrobe boxes, some other boxes, and packing paper around 9:30AM the following morning. Unfortunately, they did not show up until closer to 3:00PM. After walking their lead through the house, he got on the phone to call their office while the other movers mostly just lounged around. One of their "dispatchers" showed up shortly later, walked through the house, and simply told me that there was too much for them to do and not enough time in which to move us. I tried to convince him that anything that they could pack up and move would greatly help out me & my family. I had a fairly simple move under $1000 only a few miles, no big expensive stuff. In summary, the moving team is ok but the internal office is a joke. Any random person answers the phone and they don't get back to you quickly. They are a low tech, old school operation. They have little to no phone communication skills/processes and no email communication capability. They did not confirm the move like you would expect. I had to call a few times to ensure I was still on their schedule. The morning of the move the driver went to the wrong address and was then 1 Hr late after that. The actual moving team was did was decent, but kind of sandbagged the job taking a lot of breaks in the truck. After the movers accidentally broke a deco glass lamp shade they tried to send their "repair contractor guy" to fix it. After he called me and said it was too small of a fix to bother with he said he would tell the Metro Movers to just send me $50 and I agreed. I did not hear back from them I called them. After 3-4 calls to the office and getting no reply's or service I finally got "Walt", the owner on the line. Walt said that the Repair Guy did not work for the company and that I should have had MY insurance cover this. He was originally not going to send me the money but later changed his mind. I'll wait and see if it ever comes. Overall, not a bad moving price, the moving team was ok but the internal office staff, poor processes/communications and the cheapskate owner make this a bad choice of moving companies. read more

VERY unprofessional company! First of all, I had a huge truck.. big enough to fit way more than I even had. The mover recommended I leave both my vouches behind and my ottoman. He just did not feel like carrying it down. They were two brand new couches over $1500 value. They were extremely rude to me and kept on apologizing then being rude again. When I would talk they guy would mimic me and when I would make a suggestion he would say "We know how to do our job:... Is that why you were too lazy to move my couches and figure out how to strap my bike in?? They charged more than the quote I was given when I called.. and I told them every single thing that needed to be loaded and said it was no problem. Don't even think about using these people! Gave us a quote, and then presented us with a bill for 2.5 times more after the move was completed. Then threatened and harassed us with 40 phone calls over the course of 2 weeks when we did not pay the hyped amount. Many of the crew were rude, argumentative, demanded tips, did not listen to instructions on certain items that were fragile and not to be touched or packed (even tho labeled as such), broke many items, furniture arrived with dents, scratches, and other damage. Several antique pieces are missing. Much of what was packed on the lower floor was not labeled. When delivered, the labeled boxes showed up in wrong rooms, even tho the rooms were labeled with posters - found kitchen boxes in the bedrooms, living room boxes in the basement, bedroom boxes in the kitchen, etc. They triple wrapped plastic kitchen items - apparently to pad the bill? - and yet did not carefully pack breakables. They left us high and dry overnight on a local move (40 minute drive) when they did not deliver the load, and we had to get a hotel. They did not finish the job and we had to get a Uhaul to finish it ourselves.
