We bought a new mattress here right after Christmas. We had initially planned to shop around a bit and had stopped in to one other place before we came into Metro. We were greeted by a salesman who was knowledgeable but definitely eager to make the sale. He gave us the full run down on store layout and comfort levels and such and gave us a pillow and took us on a tour. We started on a mattress way, way out of our price range and finally landed on one close to what we could spend. The salesman was willing to wiggle a bit and got us in around our price range. The best part was that the mattress was delivered the next day. When there was a rip in one of the box springs they replaced it during the same week. While we likely could have come in at a lower price point at a local place we would have had to wait a while to get the bed. We have been sleeping on our new mattress for almost a month now and we are very pleased. Generally, I prefer to think I got an awesome deal, but this time I feel like I got an acceptable deal in a timeframe that was best for my schedule. read more

Horrible pushy salesman that just wanted to sell you a mattress, any mattress, even though you didn't feel comfortable on. Don't dare ask a question about quality of material because they get very defensive and in your face trying to intimidate you and avoid answering the question. I guess quality is not important to them even though it is typically an important question and concern of the customer. Since you can't answer questions about quality then I guess you don't want the sales. Dont get suckered. Avoid this place at any costs. read more

Just want to leave a quick review to put customers minds at ease while purchasing from City Mattress.... Walked in on a Thursday and worked with Gregory Miller on finding a trundle bed for my guest bedroom. He was amazing, not pushy at all! I ended up buying a bed from him but I HAD no intention of purchasing that day. He set up a quick delivery for me and prepped me on what to expect from the delivery crew. Day of delivery, I always get nervous having strangers in the home when my husband is at work. Rest assured, these delivery men were so polite and nice. And to top it off they were so skilled at putting the bed together it was finished in 15-20 minutes. After having a bad experience at Ashley furniture, and let me tell you, IT WAS BAD, I plan on going to City Mattress for any future bed needs. Worst mattress strore experience ever. Went in to do some research and testing, the initial salesperson was a little knowledgeable mot much but a little which is a plus however after trying to sell me a well overpriced mattress under the guise of a sale....(a twin foam @ 699 lol, I guess they think people are clueless), after asking for a written quote some other guy stepped in to try and close the sale, this guy with a piss poor aggressive attitude three all the bullshit he could muster my way and knew literally nothing about mattress layers (what.an.asshole), I recommend if you value your money, are looking for a quality mattress, and don't feel like being berrated by some aggressive coke head to stear clear from this place! We purchased a mattress with a 20 year warranty from Metro Mattress in 2007, by 2012 it was sagging badly. When the people came to replace it they insisted there was a stain on it that voided the warranty. The stain was visible only to them, not to anyone else. The warranty makes no mention of stains voiding it. After many phone calls and trips to the store they still will not honor the warranty. read more

Sold a mattress to my grandmother. She immediately had problems with a dip in the mattress and bulging at the sides. She tried for months to get them to repair or replace it and they finally did but ONLY after making her pay $50 for using the warranty even though the issue had existed from the first night she slept on it. They also threw in a mattress cover originally for $75 and then the bill showed they'd actually charged her the full price of well over $200! She's blind (and they knew this) and by the time my mother saw the bill it was too late! EXPLOITATIVE! DISHONEST! WHAT A RACKET!! NEVER GO!! read more

If I could post a 0 score, I would. I am absolutely disgusted with their customer service at this store. After I was promised I was being delivered a BRAND NEW tempurpedic cloud lux, it showed up to my house with stains on it, dirt, and with a torn mattress cover. GROSS. After calling the store, Mark, the manager, proceeded to yell at me telling me I knew I purchased a used bed, and that I would have to pay the difference for a new one. I asked them multiple times that the bed I was receiving was in fact new, and not used. They also promised me 300 dollars in free "gifts". HA. That was a joke. They weren't free at all - they were on my invoice. Then when I went into the store, he told me because I was getting a new bed, that I had to pay 200 dollars for the pillows. Which oh, were not the right ones that I had ordered. They ended up giving me the correct pillows, and now are delivering me a new bed. He then told me I was getting a great deal..... Which didn't make sense to me because this should have been the same deal I got from the very beginning? Manager was EXTREMELY condescending and rude. I had to ask him to stop raising his voice at me in the showroom. Not until my father said he would contact our lawyer did they resolve the problem. Please, don't shop here. Yes, the mattresses are a little expensive, but let's face it mattress shopping is not fun. It is kind of an investment in your health and your ability to sleep better. Some of the mattresses have prices set by the mattress company. In that case, it comes down to service. Mark was our salesman. He was not pushy. He gave us all the information we asked for and was very helpful. We felt we got a really good deal and were very satisfied. I also spoke with Chris on the phone because we needed to make an adjustment in the box spring. He was very kind about making an adjustment, and one of the delivery men was the one who suggested the adjustment (low profile box spring because our bed is so tall). Horrible experience at this location. My girlfriend and I were out shopping around for a new bed at the many mattress stores in this area. This was the last and worst visit of the day by far. The salesman seemed alright at first, a little aggressive but I'm used to aggressive salesmen. Started us out trying a bed we clearly could not afford and balked at the fact that I didn't jump on a 5 year plan for a bed. He became increasingly rude and condescending as the visit wore on. Sales person was really trying to get us to buy a really expensive bed. We were unsure and wanted to talk about it. He said he would call the manager and see what kind of deal he could get for us. He said we got a really good deal but it was only good for today since their month was up that day, April 6th, which is really weird. We put a deposit hold on the bed and said all We had to do was call and either go ahead or we could cancel. We decided a few days later to cancel and when I called, they said I couldn't cancel over the phone. 10 minutes later I got a voicemail saying that I could cancel over the phone but I had to call immediately. I called and the very rude and short-tempered sales person asked for my information. After I gave him what he needed, he immediately hung up on me. I will never go there again! read more

This company clearly has no idea how to treat their customers. I purchased my mattress and box spring from them two years ago, buying a very expensive Tempur Pedic bed. I had to exchange the bed because it was so uncomfortable that I would wake up in pain every morning stiff as a 90 year old woman. They would only honor store credit, so ended up with a much less expensive bed and was forced to buy expensive sheets and pillows that I did not need. The experience then with the salesman was so awful, that I actually cried in the showroom. The mattress pad that I had purchased at the time had been recalled due to a failure in the product when it was washed. I was lazy about bringing it back because I didn't have to wash it often, but the last time I washed it it was beyond use. I had saved the recall letter from the company and brought it into Metro Mattress. The salesman was with another couple when I walked into the store and did not even look up to acknowledge me there or say hello or I'll be right with you. When the couple left he asked if he could help me, and when I told him the issue he immediately got snippy because the recall letter was old. He acted as if the money was coming out of his pocket and wasn't going to honor it. He made a phone call to someone who told him to honor it. But the whole rest of the procedure he made awkward and uncomfortable. He even acted as if he would get some disease from touching the bag that I brought the mattress pad in and asked if I had washed it! This is not a place I would EVER spend another cent in again, let alone $3000! read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would, they do not know customer service. I got injured in 2009, in 2011 I bought a bed from them because I was getting surgery and needed a bed, spent 700+ on a bed, it was ok but the bed had a large bend down the center. I told them when I received it and was told it is normal for those beds. A few months later the bed had a huge sink hole, they made me wait, go to the store with the original receipt and then had an adjuster go out and check it all while only a few weeks out of surgery...when they replaced my bed, they gave me a less then stellar comparable model. It's been 1 1/2 and I finally said screw it and tossed it since this other model also didn't last more than 2 years... The sales process was like buying a used car. The sales rep didn't listen to anything we said we wanted and just kept trying to shoehorn us into more expensive models. We were about to walk out until the manager "saved" the sale. We should have walked out. The mattress sagged like an old lady's breasts by September (we bought it in March and it was manufactured in January, all 2017). When we called the store, they wouldn't honor the one year guarantee and said that we needed to contact the manufacturer for warranty claims. Simmons told us that all warranty claims need to be handled by the selling store. Call the store again only to be told to call the manufacturer again. The manager was absolutely rude and condescending on the phone to my wife. This left me with two options: to write this review or put him in the hospital. I chose the former because I do not want to go back to prison. Never again will we buy from them, plus we will make sure that everyone knows about our experience. With any luck they will close down and the store manager will end up cleaning stables at the horse track for the rest of his miserable life. read more

The salesmen here were absolutely rude. From the second I walked in I felt like I was being attacked. After being talked down to we chose to leave and as we were walking out the salesmen continued to insult us for not purchasing one of their beds.
