I was lucky enough to catch their Memorial Day sale and purchased an adjustable bed. I would never be able to afford one at any other store at this price for this high quality. The owner himself was there and helped me. When was the last time anyone has spoken to the real owner of a business and not some district manager person or like that? One thing to know is that no one gets commission, so they aren't going to try to up sell you just to make another dollar. They had all the national brands too like Serta and so on. I was at your location at the NY fair today. I have been shopping for a massage chair and saw you had a display up. The sales rep I spoke with said he had to do a hard credit check before I could even sit in a chair. There were other people in chairs, who I know did not have a hard credit check done. He was also very rude and said "All of the chairs are $20,000. You cannot afford them." I did have a budget to buy a massage chair this year as I have been saving for one. I had been having problems with my back and hip recently and decided a new bed would be a good move. The other one had a few years on it, 8 to 10. I did some checking online and a few stores but I also kept hearing about "Sleep City". I looked them up and found numerous good reviews and prices seemed fair. So I drove over to the store and met Gino. He was a very personable guy, and Steve his salesman was also a good guy. Gino showed me a few beds and said take your time, check things out. I tried a few out, did some figuring and not only decided to buy one, but a bigger bed also. I chose a Queen. A great move. We discussed the price and I bought it. And I may add that include free delivery, installation and removal of the old bed. The delivery guys were great and fast. My wife and I had a great experience with purchasing two mattresses from Steve Passarell at the Henrietta branch this past year in the fall. At the holiday time we found that one of the mattresses that we used in our guest room was much firmer than we thought we needed after comments both of our guests made. After the New Year began my wife contacted Steve and explained the situation with the one mattress. Steve was very accommodating and understood our concern with staying with that mattress. He said we could come in and try another mattress that would be more comfortable to use. There were no replacement costs involved to replace the mattress with the one we found more comfortable other than a delivery and removal charge of the first mattress. My family just bought 3 mattresses here. The prices were reasonable and Gino, the owner, was very helpful and patient while they tried many choices out and made their final selections. Sadly, after a few weeks, all 3 of them decided they did not like their initial selection because they were either too hard or too soft. Guess what? There is a 60 day return policy and all 3 of them now have a new mattress that seems to be working out this time. No questions, no hassles only hometown good service. I originally went to get a quote on a medical bed and was floored by the level of customer service I received by Gino who also happens to be the owner. He helped me and even let me try the beds out. It was a workers comp claim so it took forever to get an approval, in the mean time I purchased a full size bed for my daughter and the customer service didn't change, actually it got better. Before choosing which mattress store to go, I did some research and found that a lot of people had good things to say about Sleep City. It was hard to believe that were true but I am glad to find that they were. The owner Geno is very friendly, helpful and not pushy at all. I probably spent a good hour trying all the different beds and he didn't mind. His opinion is that the most expensive bed is not the best bed if you don't feel comfortable. Investing in a good bed is a tough decision but Sleep City's haggle free prices makes it so much easier. read more

Just got our new IComfort Mattress..... so excited for a good night sleep. Bought it through Sleep City in Henrietta. We got a good straight deal. Everyone we dealt with, including the owner, were a pleasure to work with. I would buy again from this store, and would not hesitate to send friends and family. It was nice because they are locally owned and operated as well. I read all the reviews before we went shopping... and thought why not start with Sleep City based on the very good reviews, but still figured I would have to spend lots of time comparison shopping. Having shopped other area mattress stores I found the best selection and prices were here with no fake computerized sleep analyzers like RG down the street or $6000 fluff like at CM. The BEST part, unlike taking a chance with some thin online product, I had a chance to try 3 different types, latex, hybrid/coil and foam/gel, plus 4 different firmnesses for each. Can't do that online, and their prices were actually the same! I shopped here years ago and glad I came back. Same guys (best friends) working here over 25 years and the crazy part is, I watched people come in and Gino seemed to know everyone or their families. We bought our split king adjustable bed from them 6 months ago. The mattresses keep sliding away from the base and there is a large crack in the middle. I called them and they were supposed to order us some dirt of strap to keep it from slipping. I have called back 5 times and they keep telling me they ordered it and it hasn't come back, that was 3 months ago. We are very unhappy with their services. We purchased a mattress from Sleep City 6 years ago. The staff is friendly and helpful. Their customer service is outstanding! Unfortunately our mattress did not hold up. We had heard that it is hard to get a mattress replaced under warranty however, the owner, and his team were easy to work with. I had many questions and they took care of our situation without hesitation. The owner personally came to our home, after hours, to inspect the mattress. He confirmed that we could use the warranty. I had the worst experience of my life with Sleep City in Rochester NY. I purchased a $2,000 Serta Icomfort mattress set with pad and went to return it 2 weeks later because I could not sleep on it and they would not take it back nor would they return my phone calls. I confronted them with the Serta advertised satisfaction 120 day trial and they still would not take it back. After much persistence they took it back and charged me $50 re-delivery charge but wrote a new invoice on my credit card for the $85 mattress pad because I did not have it with me. I went to return it later in the original package unused and they would not take it back telling me it was used and they never took it out of the package. When I called they kept telling me the manager would call me but he never did. These hucksters are unscrupulous and do not honor their refund policy or 60 day comfort guarantee.
