I don't think I've ever been so satisfied with a contractor. Upon arriving the staff were friendly and prompt. They got straight to work and went above and beyond. They laid out plenty plastic, wore protective shoe guards to not track in dirt, and asked us about what the water had affected. They vacuumed, dehumidified, and aerated. Damage was extensive beyond what we expected. They cleared out closets to get to hidden damage and to pull up water soaked carpet. They left no stone unturned. They quickly assessed and got to fixing! They were also very mindful of our pet, which means a lot. They took personal interest in our health considering dust, mold, and all the possibilities of damage is so detrimental. They talked us through the whole process, carefully documenting, and taking pictures for insurance purposes. The gas fireplace company recommended Cory to come clean and inspect the chimney. I said it was already done but we needed to do it before installing the logs. Cool. I also wanted to remove the corbels sticking out of the fireplace. Cory came over and cleaned the chimney. He took photos and explained the previous company (who charged twice as much as Cory) left half of a 5 gallon bucket of debris inside the chimney and on the ledge. And they didn't secure a nail or screw. Cory took care of everything! The pics showed his great work! Then the corbels. He brought multiple bricks with him and fit the best ones. I got their flyer posted to my door. I called Jorge about half hour after he posted the flyer to…read moreask about the $95 gutter cleaning. He asked if I have a big house, I said I wouldn't say my house is big, but definitely two stories high. I said he was just in the neighborhood to post flyers, so he should have an idea of the size of the houses in my neighborhood. He then said $200. I asked what the $95 covered and he did not give me an answer. Not that I want to low-ball the price, but it's definitely wrong for them to advertise $95 when they were going to charge more than 2X, or they shouldn't be posting the flyers in my neighborhood if the $95 is not applicable to the size of the house. Jorge then said $180 and he would come the next day (Tuesday). I said it would be forecast to snow/rain on Tuesday, whether he could do it later in the afternoon the same day (Monday). He then said it'd be $200 if he "needed to" return to the neighborhood. I told him to come on Tuesday. He said he would be here at 9 am. On Tuesday morning at around 8 am, I texted Jorge to see if he planned to take a look at the gutters, and that the snow had not melted. He did not respond to me until after 11 am saying he would stop by in the afternoon to take a look. He never came. He never communicated when he would come. On Wednesday morning he showed up unannounced when I went to a medical appointment. He then called me saying I wasn't home. I told him I had an appointment and he never told me he would come on Wednesday. He asked if he could come in the afternoon. I told him as long as he could finish before 3 pm then that'd be fine, since I had to go to another appointment. He said he had two people so it would be done quickly. Sure it was done quickly..... 15 mins of blowing stuff off the gutters, and some sales pitch saying I should get gutter guards on the lower level ones (we have guards on the second story) and repainting my chimney. The so-called cleaning is nothing more than using a leaf blower to blow stuff away. Didn't even touch the downspouts as advertised. Jorge didn't do anything besides taking pictures and tried to sell me more services. He had a younger guy do all the hard work. For the gutters that have guards on, the younger guy didn't even remove the guards to actually "clean" the gutters.... Oh yes, I was watching them on my cameras. When I handed Jorge the check, I reiterated the importance of not false-advertising. He still gave me the run-around saying that $95 was for smaller houses, or he didn't read the flyer before posting them on everyone's door. Final words: NOT recommended. I haven't used them for other services, but this experience alone was enough that if I could give 0 stars, I would.
