Overall, I think Executive Improvements did a good job. I was happy with the final outcome of the project in terms of functionality and look. Pros: - PM Jonathan was very communicative and easy to work with - Final work quality was overall good with no major functional issues - Speed to start and finish the project was very fast - Ease of working through Executive Improvements via Home Depot Cons: - Design process was arduous, requiring two very lengthy screenshare phone calls that I would've preferred be more turnkey or asynchronous - Lots of points of contact involved from the initial estimator, to the designer, to the PM, to the day-to-day crew chief - On the ground team did not speak English and was difficult to communicate preferences to without going through the PM - Minor flaws with fixtures were not noticed by the onsite crew and required followup; even upon replacement the materials from the supplier were not totally free of deficiencies, which is more of a supplier issue but still somewhat frustrating - Cost was competitive but seemed like more efficiencies in cost could be found; for example, there were several days where one of the crew members spent most of the day on his cell phone sitting in the corner of the room, and there were also a lot of leftover materials - Team did not put up dust protection, which led to a LOT of construction dust throughout my home - Team could have done a better job with cleaning up debris and dust from my garage and driveway read more

STAY AWAY. Too many negatives to write - we were lied to and our "10-11" day bathroom project lasted just short of four (4) months! Tom, the COO, will make the initial visit and make all kinds of promises, but when they aren't delivered he won't talk to you. We went through Home Depot and they recommended this company. I highly recommend Doug, Ryan and all of Executive Improvements for any home improvement job you need. I was searching for a company that could help out quickly. My dad suffered a massive stroke in Oct. and spent 3 weeks in rehab. We needed to find a company who could give my dad an accessible living area on the bottom floor of his 2 story house. Ryan and his crew turned a SMALL I mean tiny bathroom (the door was only 22 inch wide!) into a bathroom that not only looks bigger but somehow has more space, and looks like it should be in a magazine! They had creative ideas of how to make it work for my dad. My mom wanted CHEAP. (I wanted safe). EI delivered on all aspects. Well, they weren't cheap- it was a big job. BUT they totally worked with my mom and stayed in the budget she needed. My dad's bathroom is amazing. The attention to detail in the tile work was nothing short of stellar! The paint job in the bedroom and bathroom also meticulous and flawless. The guys from EI did a bunch of other odd jobs around the house for my mom including installing stair rails, replacing faucets and mounting tvs. They were so great to work with! Even if there was an issue that came up they were easy to talk to about it and they resolved it quickly. Example: Ryan my mom hates the kitchen faucet. ryan: ok no problem we will get a different on. We requested an estimate for a small bathroom remodel and was going to use our Home Depot account to finance since they are contractors for Home Depot. Well, I guess they felt like we were wasting their time because the job must not have been big enough for them(not enough money). What is the service industry coming to? You cannot get contractors to come to your house now unless you are rich and want to spend a large sum of money. I(can't even remember his name) came to our house and immediately took notice that this was not going to be big enough job for the company. He said that a 5x5 shower area with 9 ft ceiling would cost around 10,000 dollars to remodel. I ask about an itemized estimate and he said we don't do itemized estimates?? Before he left he said he would send us an estimate for the work. This was on April 14th and it is now April 22nd and still no estimate. I figured that when he left we would not see or hear anymore from them, Not even a business card. read more

I was introduced to Executive Improvements LLC by one of my employees that worked in my home. After meeting Doug Kittell one weekend as he dropped off my employee (his girlfriend) at my home, my husband and I requested a quote for work to be done (painting of our foyer, tile work in the kitchen, building a custom bookshelf in the library, etc). He and his assistant took notes as they walked through our home observing the areas that needed work. I waited more than three weeks and did not get a price quote. After I fired my employee (his girlfriend) for incompetence, I asked Mr. Kittell for my quote for work on my home. His response "I think its not going to work, it would be a conflict of interest." We are so happy with our experience with Doug at Executive Improvements, LLC!!! He built my children the coolest treehouse ever!! The project was completed in less than a week and a half. He took in consideration their ideas and brought them to reality. We have a zipline, a trapdoor, a fireman's pole, hammocks that hang underneath, and tiki torches! His company is willing to do any kind of project that you need from treehouses to climbing walls, to decks, and other home repairs. We just finished our bathroom upgrade with Executive Improvements. What an amazing team of professionals! The nicest workers who are truly artists of their craft! They did such an amazing job we broadened the scope of their work to include crown molding, painting, and a porch column fix. When they noticed that I made a mistake with an order they came up with a fix for free! I loved that they were willing to work with me and keep me informed throughout the project.
