He took the time to explain everything clearly and thoroughly, which gave me a lot of confidence in the work being done. I also compared estimates from multiple companies, and his pricing was very reasonable--especially considering the quality of work and level of service he provides. On top of that, he was extremely clean, organized, and efficient throughout the entire process. It's rare to find someone who combines professionalism, transparency, and craftsmanship this well. I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again for future projects.

After calling 6 other local handymen, Jim was the only one who returned my call, and less than 9 days later, the work is done. I could not be happier with XMS Services. Jim swapped out a broken, over the stove microwave, and vented the new microwave to the outside. This involved some siding work, cutting into an external wall, and all the steps in between. Jim and his colleague Daniel were very aware of their cleanliness, keeping everything tidy as they went along. The job was completed in hours, and I am very happy with the results. At the end of the job, Jim returned everything to the previous state, and then some. He even hauled away the old appliance, which was an added bonus. I will use XMS again for any future home repairs!

I scheduled this company just the other day for a homeowner of mine. I talked to the owner and had…read moretold him I'm a business owner in Delaware and I have some customers that want to move to culpeper. Would he help them unload their Uhaul. He said no problem and scheduled us. A couple days go by and my homeowner tells me. They have a chance to close early and want to know if the service I scheduled could accommodate an earlier date. I messaged the owner back and asked politely as ever. Reference pictures. He not only told me to find someone else and left me hanging after already giving me his word that I was on his schedule. But then told me bad reviews don't bother him and that he can't hold up a date on his calendar for us? But that's not what I asked him to do. I asked him to schedule a job. And be there on time and get paid what we agreed. Where did I go wrong? Now I know I called him an asshole at the end. But I was upset by then. Plus that's the effect.
