My brother wanted me to take him out for lunch/dinner so my wife and I and my brother looked around and found this new place. The place is very nicely decorated and the staff were really nice. We ordered the duck confit spring rolls, habanero edamame , and street corn for appetizers, they were all great! We also ordered a frozen margarita with blood orange flavor. That was really good too! For entrees I got the chicken wing taco, which was very good! My brother had the honeymoon roll which he loved and my wife had the taco salad which she liked, but they had too much dressing on it so her hint is to order it on the side or ask for less. Walked in and loved the interior designs. Greeted by a very friendly server and was sat at the sushi bar area. Tried cold sake for the first time... probably my last time but I like to expand my horizons. The sushi was made right in front of us, unreal quality. The tuna poke tower was to die for. Very underwhelmed by the experience. It was packed so I had high hopes, but quality and service were poor. We ordered the salsa/guac/queso trio, and all the meat tacos. Everything was so bland. No salt, no seasoning. The guacamole was just mashed avocado. Salsa had a little flavor. Queso was thin. Ultimately we doctored the guac up with some salt, lime, and salsa to give it some flavor. Tacos again very bland. Really nothing special about them at all. Not even the clothespin tacos everyone raves about. Maybe the sushi is better, but for the price, I don't know that I would risk coming back here. read more

The best of both worlds! The establishment is very nice, lots of fun and interesting decor. The staff and our waiter AJ were awesome. We had a little bit of both sides, Mexican and Asian. The nachos and fish tacos were so good and fresh. I asked AJ what his top favorite sushi roll was and went with it, the Mesu roll. So delicious, a very good roll. What is the hype about here? My friends and I went for dinner while we were in town for vacation and our experience was not very good at all. We had reservations, that we PAID for to make and we still had to wait 30 min for a table. Then, our server was nice, but not very attentive. We didn't get our appetizers until our food came, and he would have known that had he come back to our table to check in on us. We didn't get any silverware or napkins until after the food came and we had to run him down for that. The food was less than impressive. Some of us got tacos and some got sushi but none of us were blown away by what we had. It's not worth the hype in my opinion unless you're going to just drink. read more

My guys Mike Casey, nathan, and garrit are not only incredible bartenders, but my therapists when I need to talk, provide wisdom when I need it, are incredible DJs when I feel like getting jiggy with it, and always boost my confidence when I'm speaking to a woman. Highly recommend for a large group dinner. Booked an 8pm reservation on a Friday night for a bachelorette party and were seated promptly. Our table was square rather than rectangle which is so nice for big groups to be able to chat! Waitress was amazing, super prompt, checked on us constantly. Food came out quickly. We were part of a bachelorette party and they treated the bride to a shot and a turn hitting the gong. AMAZING playlist in the background. I stayed at the Hyatt hotel and visited with my family and a second time took take out to eat in room. Atmosphere in restaurant is nice and service was good. We had tacos, which are not traditional but were very tasty (I like them more). We had sushi and rolls which were very good according to my wife (i dont eat fish). My second order had a mistake, which was quite annoying (cheese in taco, although I specifically asked no cheese, and taco with regular wheat, although I specifically asked for there corn option). I received the entire money of the order which included other things. Felt a bit bad... but they got my 5 stars read more

Honestly extremely disappointed is the entire staff there. Coming from a hospitality background and barely any guests in the restaurant. No one greeted me and the server looked like he rolled his eyes when I walked in. I asked to order to go and a I was sent to the bar. Bartender doesn't greet me either but says what do you want to get. I said can I see a menu. I ordered 2 tacos and nachos. I counted about 12 staff members behind the sushi station and bar. No one is doing much but chit chatting with each other like they are at a social gala. I sit and wait and wait and wait, I am watching 2 boxes of food sitting in the window for about 7 minutes. No other food orders coming out and that's just sitting there. I ask the bartender if that was my food sitting in the window and his response was if it was I didn't see it. No apology at all. No hospitality and no service at all. The manager just walks around and makes jokes with all the staff but doesn't check on any guests or even check the window to see if food needs to go out. I would write this restaurant more as a sushi bar rather than Mexican and sushi. They have a very limited Mexican menu. The menu really includes appetizers only. No burritos, no enchiladas, etc. Also, the atmosphere of the restaurant is more geared for bridal parties. 90% of the patrons were either brides to be wedding party. Reservations are definitely difficult at this restaurant. It will direct you to a side called Bourbon and bubbles. This will not get you a reservation. When attempting to call, no one would answer the phone. Needless to say when we arrived, we did not have a reservation as planned. The chips and guacamole were good. read more
