Love this Food Truck! Their pork belly taco and chicken mango burritos are absolutely the best. So much flavor and just keeps you craving more. I love their own chip seasoning they do as well. Highly recommend trying them if you see their pop up schedule or for a private event. You won't be disappointed! The taco truck is cute as well with big & bright colors . Giving a cute fusion Hawaiian vibe and the staff are very friendly.

Food Truck. We tried out Messy's Tacos food truck. I believe it was parked at a brewery in Granite Bay. Food was really good. You get 3 large tacos and you can get different types of tacos. Korean Beef is the bomb. Also don't forget to try their Corn Bites. Tasty. The trick is finding them. Check their social media sites for calendars.

Messy's is what every small independent eatery should be! First, it's a small little eatery (the old fashioned walk up to the sliding window to order your food) that reminds me of the of the Old hamburger stands back in the 70's when I was a kid. I love that! The menu has a few appetizer items, tacos, burritos, and a few desserts. Their menu is pretty straight forward...a list of meats (or veggie) and a price next to it depending on whether you want a taco, bowl, or burrito. They also have a few different "special" tacos like their Korean beef and award winning pork belly tacos. I ordered the Korean taco and the carne asada tacos, chips and cheese sauce. OMG!!! The Korean taco is extremely flavorful! The first bite is a punch of flavor and the juicy, Korean marinated beef , with the subtle sesame oil that's in the marinade on the purple cabbage, compliments each so well!! Most places use way too much sesame oil which can be very overpowering, but these guys got it right. The carne Asada taco was totally amazing as well and I loved the flavors going on in The marinade, too! Both tacos were loaded with juicy, moist, Uber tender steak. The best carne asada and Korean tacos I've had in my life! The chips were warm, thin (to me the best way), and I'm pretty sure they just fried them up as soon as I ordered! The cheese sauce is bomb, too! I love the patio...very comfortable, adorably decorated, and they have misters running for the hot season, and ceiling fans under the big covered patio area. Even in the coldest months, I can't imagine not eating there under the patio, since there is no indoor seating and I'm guessing they have outdoor heaters for keeping you comfortable. I may note that There is also no indoor restroom, but there is a outdoor restroom (ports potty?) and hand washing station, so if you don't like using those, I'd suggest going to the restroom at home before coming here. The food and service are so amazing that that would never keep me from coming back!

Messy's Taco has been on my radar for about a month now and I finally came here on New Year's Eve. They are a really small place, almost like a little shack but it's cute. It totally seems like the type of restaurant that the whole city knows about and loves and is a must for visitors to try. Also the reviews are really good so worth a try. After taking a small gander over the menu and trying to remember what some of the items looked like according to Yelp I ordered the Cheeseburger Taco, Korean Taco and made it a meal with rice, beans and a soda. While waiting I kinda just checked out their outdoor seating which is a little covered and each table has a set of heaters (it was so cold outside) and then I was admiring the view of the trees. I definitely would have eaten outside if it was a tad bit warmer. The wait for the food wasn't bad and I think the tacos are made/cooked to order. The takeout presentation was wonderful, the food was placed neatly in the plastic container. And to my surprise the meal came with chips, I was kicking myself for not ordering a side of guacamole to go with it. The Cheeseburger Taco came wrapped in a flour tortilla with seasoned ground beef, queso, onions, lettuce and topped with fries. This taco was really good and very flavorful, I loved the crispy fries on top and those were seasoned perfectly as well. It's one of the best and most flavorful ground beef tacos that I've had. The Korean Taco came wrapped in a corn tortilla with Korean beef, red cabbage slaw, sriracha aioli and sesame seeds. This was definitely my favorite of the two tacos. The Korean beef was marinated great, cooked perfectly and was tender. I loved the addition of the red cabbage slaw because it really added to the flavor and helped cool down the spiciness of that sriracha aioli. Tons of flavor all the way around but next time I may ask them to go easy on the aioli because it was really spicy or maybe I'm just a baby when it comes to spicy food lol. The rice and beans were really good and fresh, the rice was quite flavorful and moist. The chips were were yummy too, they were super crispy and had a nice seasoning on them. Overall this place was really good and I can't wait to go back to try more of their items and I'm hoping my next visit they'll have those cheesy churros that I've seen tons of people rave about. I highly recommend trying this place if you live close by or are visiting the area.

I was at a brewery and this was the food truck that was there. There were three options on the menu- chicken, pork belly, and carne asada. Well two, because they ran out of the carne asada. I got one of each of the chicken and pork belly. The chicken was average to me, but I enjoyed the pork belly. The sauce on top of the pork belly went well with the meat. The chips that came with the tacos were thin, and I prefer thicker ones. I wanted to order another pork belly taco, but they ran out of that too afterwards. The tacos are a bit expensive at $6 per taco, hence the three stars.

Worth a stop. Had a carne Asada breakfast burrito w dragons breath hot sauce. Not traditional carne asada but considering where they are it wasn't bad. The hot sauce was very hot. Don't recommend for the faint of heart. But I love hot stuff Liked to try some other items to truly given thorough opinion but this review is based on the one item only Staff was very nice. Food was prepared promptly and brought out to their enclosed eating area. They sell beer too

I'm addicted to their burritos. They are SO BIG, it works out as two meals. Today, my people hooked me UP with the sweet potato & black bean veggie burrito. Sounded SO GOOD, I added bacon (I know, but COME ON!) OUTSTANDING! With the smoky salsa??!! I'll be energized ALL DAY! Yum!

Yum!! So this is a little place that serves some really excellent and high quality food! While it might look like a place you would choose to drive by, that would be a mistake. In fact, it was so good I ate my Asada burrito before getting a photo!!! So relative to food, service, and value here are my impressions. The food was outstanding. My wife had a Korean taco and a carnitas taco. They were delicious and both had unique flavors. Both were really large and had an abundance of yummy fillings. These are not your regular tacos, they are large and well executed! I had an asada burrito and it was outstanding. There was a healthy amount of asada and the smoky salsa was excellent!! The service was quite nice! Everyone smiled and the food came out quickly and hot. Plus, they were more than happy to recommend items and kept it real. They did a great job! Finally value. At first I thought, $4 for a taco is kinda expensive....until the taco came. 2 tacos was a lot of food, and my burrito was huge. In the end, the cost was just shy of $20 and we were stuffed! I will be back and you should go as well! It's a great change and nice find!

I had the pork belly taco and the chicken burrito for dinner. Best taco and burrito I have ever had!!!!!! Loved the homemade tortilla chips. Don't be fooled by the looks of this place. Eating area is comfortable. Everyone working there are very nice and helpful. I will definitely make this the top Mexican restaurant of my choice. read more

This little gem isn't too bad. Meat was flavorful and service was fast. My son and I enjoyed it and he wants to go back! If you're ever driving down the road and see this spot, you may want to stop. The only reason for 3 stars is because I compare the tacos to others I've had which are just as good if not better. read more

The veggie taco does not disappoint! Outstanding job on the sweet potatoes. I tried the meat tacos but shockingly this little veggie delight was far superior. Would skip the guacamole add for $1 it's just a tiny drizzle not really worth it and didn't add anything to the flavor. Would recommend and will be back! read more

This place is delicious. We order tacos from a lot of different places and make tacos all the time. This place is legit! Got get the Dragon's Breath salsa! SPICY and DELICIOUS! The out door seating is nice, family friendly, fair pricing and good beer!!! I would recommend cups for the canned beer, other than that...bomb! Oh, we went when it was 96 degrees out. Still was nice in the shade with the misters!!! ENJOY!!! read more

I have been here on multiple occasions and had most of their specials, Cheeseburger taco, Pork belly (my fav), Ceviche, Dr. Pepper pulled pork, Chicken chili. I've also had a breakfast burrito and the taco bowl. Therefore I feel can leave an accurate review, this place is wicked good. If you're in Lincoln you need to hit Messy's; if you're in Northern California you need to drive to Messy's for a meal! Legit tacos, burritos, nachos and more. Always have some epic specials in the form of tacos and other goodies. Had some Carne Asada nachos and one each of the three tacos on the specials menu: Korean, Pot (Pork) Belly and Cheeseburger tacos. Beyond insane! And they have good, cold beers! Pretty darn good! We stopped by for lunch on the way to Reno. I had the Asada burrito "messy" style, which tops it with queso and salsa - it had great flavor! My husband had the street tacos and they were just ok - nothing to write home about and therefore 4 stars overall for me. read more

Interesting little establishment on the side of the road. At first glance it made me think street tacos. And I feel that they make some good effort making it to be so, it just falls flat off the expectations. It doesn't taste quite authentic. There's just something missing. read more

Nothing makes an expensive car repair bill taste good like a Messy burrito. I discovered Messy's because I'm a customer at the neighboring autoshop. First time: Chicken Quesadilla...yum, and it came with tasty fresh chips. Second Time: Wet Carne Asada burrito...wow! Third Time: Chorizo Breakfast Burrito...HEAVEN! They got a regular customer now all because my car was overheating. Soooooooo good. They trap you and I got zero complaints about being caught, great mechanic, great food, husband-wife business team. I came for the lovely drive from lincoln. Yelp is difficult to know if a place is open for P/U so I'll be back n I hope they fair well through this all. They are not shut down it just looks closed from covid precautions. Rightfully so, however I hope some great places like this can open soon we sure would hate to lose what looks like a forever n a day at this location place! This is the best Mexican food in Loomis. However, it's more of a fusion of Tex-Mex with barbecue, soul, and American than the Mexican food typically associated with the greater Sacramento area. I stopped by with some friends for lunch and we were pleasantly surprised. The chicken burrito is a great lunch option; it's definitely an exotic yet familiar take on the traditional staple of mid-day meals. It was a whole meal by itself but did not induce the lethargy of a food coma later. The seating is outdoors in a covered area. The taco stand is small, but there was more than enough seating. Once this place serves alcohol (should be soon), it will warrant a five star rating. read more

WOW, WOW....WOW! You just have to go there and taste for yourself. The location is it an area you typically wouldn't be driving to if you're looking for places to eat which makes this place such a unique place. If you were driving by you'd probably miss it so when you do find it it's like an oasis in the desert with fresh flavorful food. When you pull up there's plenty of parking and there's seating inside and outside on nice days . Katie and Ashley [super nice gals...personable, friendly...the kind of staff that know your name and make you want to go back] took my order and told me a little bit about the business. The owner of the auto shop next door owns the taco stand which started as kind of like a joke or a bluff. It clearly used to be a Frosty Freeze of some sort. Now the building has been remodeled to resemble that of any trendy urban, hidden local foodie place that people stumble across or flock to because you read the reviews or have had the food and keep it in your repertoire of foodie places you frequent. I ordered from the specials of the day....Korean Beef and Pork Belly Tacos.... $5.00 ea. The meal came as a combo with fresh homeade tortilla chips....$10 meal. Now right away you might think, $5 a taco yikes but you actually get your money's worth. You are not walking away feeling like you needed more food. I ordered some guacamole, queso and a quesadilla, more so I could just try the different flavors. The chef hot a home run with these 2 tacos! The pork belly was seasoned and cooked perfectly with garnesment and special sauce. The 1st bite to the last....each bite melts in your mouth. The Korean beef taco was equally flavorful. There was plenty of marinated beef that had a sweet yet slight spice to it. Topped with fresh shredded cabbage wrapped in a corn tortilla this taco hit the spot. These were specials so I still need to try the regular items but if these specials are insight to the quality of ingredients used along with the fresh homeade style hot sauce and chips then I can't wait to come back. I say if your local in Rocklin you need to try this place. If your coming down from tahoe or heading up. ...stop by and have a pit stop. I'm looking forward to coming back and seeing great staff like Ashley and Katy and try round 2 for some more great food. read more

What a great little place. I drive by the place many times. Whatever it was before closed and then this place opened and after awhile I decided to stop and try it. So glad I did. Stopped there twice. Both times got the burrito with carnitas and hot. Eat half for dinner and the other half for lunch the next day. Excellent. Tasty and fresh. I'm sure the other items on their menu are just as good. I expect in the summer the outdoor seating will be more inviting. For now I take the food to go. Glad I found a locally owned place to get really good Mexican food. read more

Outstanding little food stop! Popped in yesterday for a carnitas breakfast burrito-smoky option. Holy cow was this good. Talked with the employee a bit and she said they have a pretty good turnout for events and are starting to get performers come by to do gigs. Good selection of drinks, eats and accommodations given what they have to work with (heaters, canopy, comfortable pillows and benches for staying awhile). We plan on stopping in quite a bit now. Instant thumbs up! read more

Amazing spot for tacos. I had the Korean beef and the pork belly. Korean beef had a delicious red cabbage slaw and cilantro. Pork belly had two big slabs of meat, a jicama/carrot/mango julienne slaw and cilantro. The chips are pretty tasty too. Definitely a place to come back to again. read more

Not so Messy after all. So, my bro stops by Messy's Tacos as often as he drives by, he tells me proudly. I love supporting the new and the local, so I stopped by on my way to the vet last evening. It's that kind of a place. You are driving by and your car sorted just swerves into the backroad-style parking lot. Of course, my car knows that swerve from drive-bys with my boys in the car with the previous business, too! They cleaned the place up very nicely. I was greeted with a Locals' smile and conversation. The menu is simple. It didn't take long before my to-go meal was delivered in the brightest, cutest to-go box ever. The spices sprinkled atop the tortilla chips matched the box perfectly by the way. At that point I couldn't wait to get home to try out my first Messy's meal. The chips. Great job, Messy (whomever that is). The burrito. Delicious. That's it. Plain and Simple Local Hot Spot. Have a seat under the tent for your meal or get it to go. Support the Locals when they offer great food at a great price. read more

The food is pretty good. I do have a couple problems with Messy's. First off, the hours are terrible. They are open only till 3:30PM and closed on Wednesday. Secondly, they using a lot of fillers (rice and beans). Instead of loading it with guacamole and meat. I do understand that it is cheaper to do this but it's not like the prices are cheap. Thirdly, they didn't even have steak when I went. I went around noon so it's not like I went when they were around closing at 3:30PM!! Updated: I see that the owner commented back and said the hours are different. I recommend they update this on maps. read more

Casual, tasty and very nice people. Have made about 6-8 visits to Messy's. Consistent quality. Check the specials - had a two meat burrito combo special that was great. They have improved the outdoor seating. My kids like the Italian sodas. Great salsa, good portions, reasonable prices. read more

Heart and Soul! You know when a restaurant appreciates a positive comment where they cheer that they put their heart and soul into this restaurant. When I told them that this restaurant would be on our keepers list they clapped and cheered. They probably wouldn't have done that at a red Robin. The food was amazing and a little different. My wife had the White bean chili. My kids loved the kids nachos with chicken. And I had a pulled pork taco and a beef taco. The pulled pork was way more delicious than the beef. The atmosphere is nice and warm. They have heaters! They make a lot of shakes because they bought the shake machine or ice cream machine from Taylor's. Try it and then put it on your Keeper List! read more

This place is amazing. Their breakfast Burritos are so incredible. The hot sauce is flavorful, the potatoes are like crumbly tater tots, eggs are eggs (difficult to mess up), overall amazing quality. Chicken burrito taken to the slopes, to go. Still amazing 4 hours later. Flavorful, and juicy. The staff are amazing. They really went out of their way for my group. They walked the burritos out to us. Friendly. This place is the whole package is now our go-to AM burrito stop on the way to the snow read more

It was the grand opening today we showed up at 6 not knowing they close at 5 and they still took our order. It was pretty busy so it took a while to get our food but it was worth it. I got a Carne Asada burrito and it was very yummy! I also got a side of mild salsa which had the perfect amount of spice for me! The burrito was giant! I had it with black beans. I would recommend it for sure!! Only the workers are inside, but there is plenty of outside seating for those who don't want it to go. :) read more

Best tacos in town And different from most places Service is awesome, quick and kind I eat there at least 4 times a week if not more Oh and there breakfast burritos are bomb ! This place has very fresh food. I am always satisfied with the portions and quality of flavor. Lots of sauce options as well and the wait is minimal. I will always hit this place up if I am nearby and want quality Mexican food! Negatives: It is a bit too expensive for a road side taco stand. I am willing to pay it once in a while because the quality is so good, but they might get more business if they brought their pricing down just a little bit. I ordered for delivery the other day having a beer at Country Club. My cost was around $10 for the food, and when I handed the kid who delivered a $20.00 bill, he asked if I wanted change. This blew me away.... and he asked in a very rude way. Did he expect to get a 100% tip? It just seemed entitled and weird. Once he brought the change back I tipped him of course, but it rubbed me the wrong way. read more

This is not just a little taco truck. This somewhat small building has some of the best staff and food around. After finding this place on a random search for taco's when I happen to be in the area for business, I've continued to make the 40 minute drive from my house just for these tacos. I brought my son here when he was home on leave from the Navy and he gives them 4 stars and he is a very picky Navy culinary specialist. read more

We are so impressed with this place. We have been three times since they opened and each time was better than the last. Breakfast burritos are awesome. The chips are phenomenal and so is the cheeseburger taco. The staff is so sweet and accommodating. We will be regulars at this place for sue! So glad to have more non-chain options in loomis! We aren't your typical taco truck...Think tacos with a fusion twist! You'll enjoy our specialty fusion tacos, burritos, nachos and more. Our signature tacos are our Pork Belly, Korean Beef and Carne Asada. However, we are always adding new specialty tacos like our cheeseburger, fried fish, cali steak and more. We offer delicious burritos and our famous Breakfast Burritos with our special cheese sauce. We offer catering for private parties, work events, school events and more. Established in 2017.

We are a family owned & operated business who opened in August 2017 as Messy’s Tacos & Treats restaurant in Loomis, CA. Summer of 2022, we decided to completely switch to Messy's Tacos Food Truck and focus on Private Events & Food Truck Pop-Ups. This also allowed us to be creative with our weekly menus.

Meet the Business Owner: Jamey H.

My husband and I started this concept together and wanted to create fusion specialty tacos and not be your typical taco truck. Going on 6 years I think we had the right idea and appreciate all the support from the community. Some of our most popular tacos are our Pork Belly, Korean Beef, Chicken Mango and Carne Asada. We hope you enjoy our style of cooking!

I pointed out to my husband that while there were many open tables, people were in and out for to go orders the entire time we were eating. It really speaks to how delicious their food is. If we ever find ourselves in Loomis again we both agreed we will be back!
