Since it was Taco Tuesday, we sampled the delicious fare at Banzito's Tacos foodtruck, which is now located at Knee Deep Brewing Company near the Auburn Airport. OMG...unlike anything we've ever tasted! The tacos have a lightly crisped tortilla layered on a melty cheese skirt. The good Lord brought Badzito's to DOCO! It was a rainy night but that didn't stop owner Adam Salañada and his crew from making the trip and serving some fuego tacos and nachos before the Sacramento Kings game. Anticipation was high as Adam is a local social media celebrity and has been promising his tacos to Kings fans for a long time. The hype was real and the tacos met every expectation. The tortillas had a perfect crunch and supported the large portions of meaty goodness. My personal favorite was the carnitas. The soft pork had great flavor and just the perfect amount of fat to push it over the top. It knocked my Timeless Thrills socks off! The tacos were $7.50 each and although I did feel that was a bit much by the first bite I felt they were worth every penny! These aren't street tacos, they are much larger. After finishing both I was ready to order more the flavors were so good. Wait time was short even though there was a long line and that shows me the team is working in unison, made me think Mike Brown was in the kitchen. Adam is De'Aaron Fox on the grill, clutch and consistent. Can't wait to try more of Banzito's menu again soon. read more

We have been wanting to try their food for a while especially since De'Aaron & Reece Fox (big Kings fans over here) always give them shoutouts on their socials. We were craving tacos and saw that they were out at a local farmers market so we decided to finally give them a try... and the food did not disappoint! We got the Asado nachos and 2 "The Popper," tacos and 1 "The Biztek," tacos and everything was delicious. The nachos and tacos were fairly large and very flavorful. The meat was juicy, tender and seasoned well. The nachos and tacos were topped with different salsas and sauces that added a lot of flavor but weren't spicy. Just a heads up to my fellow taco lovers I will say the food here is more like "gourmet Mexican" compared to just "basic street tacos," that you expect to get at a traditional taco truck that just consists of tortilla, meat, onion, cilantro and salsa. If you typically prefer traditional street tacos then you may not enjoy their food as much however I don't think the two can be compared since they are so different. As a taco consouier and lover of many different styles/types of tacos I will end by saying that the food is overall very delicious and we will definitely be going back! read more

Adam and his team came last night to do tacos and churros for my birthday party! It was sooooo good! Everyone at the party raved about the tacos, and we have some SoCal taco snob friends who were blown away, so it goes to show how good they really were. Unique flavors and tastes. I ordered the bistek which was steak with good things and the jester which was chicken with pineapple and a tasty sweet spicy sauce. The crunchy cheese skirt on the taco is pure awesome goodness and helped to put them over the top. We've had many taco parties over the years (what can I say, I'm a taco person!) and these were easily the best ones we've ever had. Working with Adam was super easy and he was even able to accommodate my no cilantro request! He called a few days before to walk through everything and make sure we were on the same page. He showed up even a bit early, was so helpful and friendly throughout the party. Even did a last call taco order :). Best of all, he left the left overs as a little nachos/taco bar which was perfect because of course around 11, people wanted to nibble again and we had everything set up for a late night snack attack! And, best of all, I got a churro bar! The churros were terrific and had chocolate and caramel sauces. Couldn't recommend Adam and Banzito's highly enough. read more

We were able to meet the owners and from service to food. Wow! We felt the love immediately. You can tell each taco is carefully placed together with care and precision. The flavors are so distinct from its own. We tried the Biztek, the Jezter, the Smokey, and the Paztor. We loved the fried tortilla that had a crispy cheese skirt. It wasn't greasy or heavy at all. These tacos are different, no extra limes or salsas are needed to enjoy these. The flavors are perfectly balanced and super delicious. It's crazy to explain. Each taco had a distinct flavor different from the other. You eat one taco then immediately eat another, and you can taste the different flavors, spices, and salsas. Very well put together. I'm bummed out we weren't able to try all the tacos.. soon though we will. The Gourmet quesadillas oh my goodness. I hope everyone goes here to experience the quality and how delicious Banzito's Tacos is. My son and wife are extremely picky. Bandito's Tacos is a Placer County pop-up restaurant, based out of Lincoln, CA that specializes in... according to their web site... "next level tacos," along with "next level service." Bandito's is a regular at the Fowler Ranch Farmers Market, held every Sunday at Fowler Ranch, located just east of Lincoln, CA. Today's menu was posted at the meet/greet counter, and offered two taco choices, along with a tamale, water and Mexican sodas. You place your order with the friendly hostess, Val, who will take your order, and pass it along to taco chef Adam. The "Bistek" and "Jester Gourmet Tacos," which headlined today's menu at Bandito's Tacos. Today's menu offered two tacos, so I ordered "one" of each, to fulfill my gourmet taco cravings for this Sunday morning. "Bistek" taco started off with a medium size corn tortilla, perfectly fried on the griddle. Frying next to the tortilla was carne asada - Mexican steak - perfectly seasoned, marinated juicy and simply delicious, which added the "meat" to the taco. Included with the taco were Monterey, Cheddar and Asada cheese, with Banditio's "Signature Salsa" serving to hold things together. The taco was garnished with diced red onion, sliced avocado, chopped cilantro, and sprinkled with Cotija cheese crumble to make for an amazing taco. What more could you desire? The "Jester" started out like the "Bistek" with a yellow corn tortilla, crisped and perfectly fried on the griddle to hold both taste and texture. Added to "Jester" was a large amount of seasoned, grilled chicken... Oh my! ... which made for an amazing taco! Added to the "character" of the "Jester" were the fine add-on's of melted Colby-Jack cheese, hickory smoked bacon crumble, diced, grilled pineapple - Oh my! - Bandito's "Signature Jester Sauce Drizzle," diced red onion, pickled jalepeño slices, Romano and Parmesan dust, along with red chili pepper flakes. Add it all together, and it made "Jester" an amazing taco of taste and character. The taco cuisine I enjoyed at Bandito's Tacos was simply amazing! You can't beat Bandito's Tacos for some ofhe best tacos in Placer County! Delicious! Bandito's Tacos doesn't serve "street tacos" like you'd find in Mexicali, Mexico as these tacos are "north-of-the-border" in every way... but what does it matter? Bandito's Tacos are simply DELICIOUS in every way, and the staff is as friendly as it gets. You ask... which taco was my favorite? Both were simply amazing, but I have to go with "The Jester," as I've never had a taco like it, thanks to Bandito's sauce, the pickled jalapeño slices and the pineapple. Aloha! We ordered: 3 tacos (the Vegano, Bistek & Pastor), XL Buffalo/Jester Wings and Nachos Borrachos, Bandito Elotes, Horchata, rice, beans, and the full chip and salsa bar. The tacos are to die for (seriously, some of the best tacos you'll eat). The wings and nachos were delicious and the horchata was a perfect sweet treat. We cannot recommend Bandito's enough; they brought all their own tables and equipment, prepped/made the food fresh on site, handled their own set up and clean up, and made the entire process absolutely seamless!
