Stopped here for a burrito on my drive back to the bay. Ordered a grilled chicken super burrito and the chicken was so flavorful! No gristle to be found. Great flavor. Highly recommend! The salsa at the salsa bar was soooo yummy. There was a spicy option that was actually spicy. Very good. Then the milder one was delicious tasted kind of Smokey. Free chips were good. One man show on a Saturday but once he figured out we were there he quickly took our order and prepared it. They only had soft drinks and beer so I couldn't get my horchata fix. The salsa bar had a delicious Jalapeno Crema dip that was out of this world. Here's our ratings of the tacos: Pollo Asada - 6- Pretty decent but a bit bland Al Pastor - 8 - Good flavor Carne Asada - 4 - No flavor and almost mushy. 4th Time's a Charm? 8/30/22 The first time I went I wanted fish tacos but I was told that they didn't have any seafood products at the time. Bummer! I opted for a regular burrito (beef). It was okay. I should've gotten the Super Burrito which came with Guac, sour cream and the works. 9/14/22 was the second time I visited and I got the crispy tacos daily special ($1 extra for beef). The tacos came with rice and beans and a free drink from the vending machine. Good deal... the food was a little salty but, otherwise, good! 10/17/22 I came back to try their chicken version of the crispy tacos daily special. I must admit that I liked the beef tacos better than the chicken. Just my preference. Just okay for me. 10/27/22 brought the hubby with me and we shared a Super Burrito Asada with rice, beans, salsa, Guac, sour cream, cheese, and pico de gallo. More than enough for me and the hubby. Good stuff but both of us thought that the food was salty. On all occasion the food was served fast. The owner did everything... he took our order at the counter, he was the cook and was also the server. Dine-in experience during all visits. The restaurant had indoor and patio seating. The large bay windows made it bright inside. All my visits were during lunch time. There was one evening we came for dinner a little after 7:00p... there was no one inside the restaurant and was dim inside. Stopped by with my husky for lunch as was not disappointed. I ordered a super burrito al pastor and it was excellent. Not too much salt like many Mexican restaurants do. Plenty of outside seating and dogs are welcome. Chips and salsa bar were also excellent. Service friendly and fast. Ambiance was good, modern Mexican style and clean. Lots of parking. Outside seating is next to a street but not busy so noise is not a problem. Prices are good, not expensive like many are today. I have marked it down for the next trip down the hill to the Costco/Winco area. read more

Very flavorful, nice portion size, family friendly environment in the restaurant. I had the bowl and hubby had the street tacos. Both were fantastic! I was only able to eat half of the bowl because it was so much food. It is obvious from the flavors that the Chile Verde in my bowl as been prepared over time to allow the flavors to come through. I was visiting town and was craving a wet burrito to just searched for Mexican restaurants and was actually on my way to another place when I run into this one and seemed appealing so thought I'd give it a try instead of driving another 10 minutes. Well, I should've kept going. Service not the best, rushed to get me out of there and when I finally got to my hotel room, disappointment. This was a good experience. The place is clean, the service is friendly. I got three Carne Asada tacos, a Carnitas taco, an Al Pastore taco, and a Pollo. Tacos come with a lot of meat, which is great, because I like to clean it up with some chips afterward. The chips are free, the salsa is free, and that is always a big plus for me. Carne Asada---Excellent. Exactly what you want in your Carne Asada. Moist meat, great flavor, got that grill flavor. A winner. Carnitas---Again excellent, perfect flavoring, crispy yet moist. Squeeze some lime on. Winner. Pollo---again, exactly what you want in your Pollo taco. Winner Al Pastor---this is one of those meat dishes that seems to me is the one dish open to interpretation more than any other. To me, the best I've ever had, is from Los Pericos in Hayward. It leans toward a more robust flavor with a hint of pineapple. This one tends to be less barbecue, and has a very unique flavor. I would imagine this is a dish that one must try to know if they're gonna like or not. I liked it because I like different stuff, if I could give it any description at all, I would say it leans toward the pineapple side, more than the barbecue side. Still good, winner for me. You'll have to decide for you. We were traveling, so we had our dogs, and they have an outdoor patio. Sadly disappointed at the downwards spiral of this place :( moved over here in Nov with my family - first time was good... BUT last few times we went the decrease of what food is available & quality is just insane! Last time we ate here he told us he was only making 2 items that day and nothing else... ON A SATURDAY! Glorified Jimboy's at best. I really loved the chips and the water. My lady and I came here and got a chili verde crispy taco, and a chicken crispy taco with a side of retried beans. I didn't even bother eating my tortilla because it was soggy (we ate there, so traveling with it In styrofoam wasn't the issue). The lady's chicken had a pool of grease that provided a great marinade. They were both really bad. The beans were overcooked and had sat there all day at least. Groupon is awesome for this location. Google states they are open on Sunday's and they are NOT. We finally got to visit on a Saturday and it was needless to say all right. Super weird place. You just order your food at the register and then they bring it to you. They have a chips and salsa bar. EVERYTHING is super SPICEY. Food was not bad; however, super SALTY. I totally love the food here. I first stopped here during the great COVID Panic and saw the signs saying they were open. I have been supporting all the small businesses that are trying to service during these times. They are located across the street fro Sierra College so with the school closed they are challenged. I have been back here 6 times in 3 weeks. I absolutely love everything from the Chimichangas to the tacos to the nachos. I have not had a bad meal here yet. I love the al Pastor, it's my favorite. I expected the beans to be refried, they ended up being whole pinto beans, but they were full of flavor and much better than I had anticipated. The portions were a good size, I left full and happy. This place is so hard to judge. The place is clean, the service is quick and friendly. The food is good-- delicious tacos (soft and crunchy), huge burritos, churros to die for. However, after three visits, we will probably never be coming back for one simple reason: they are always out of stock. The last 2/3 times we've ordered, they've been out of green sauce; they've always been out of seafood; they don't usually have the more diverse meat products (pork belly, for instance). It's just frustrating to try to call an order for pick-up and be told that they're out of everything, and there's no indication on the menu board when you arrive either. I feel like they should take items off the daily menu and instead expand the "specials" in order to adjust your expectations. I guess at the end of the day I'd say if you want a generic Mexican meat product (grilled chicken, carnitas, ground beef taco/burrito), this is well worth checking out. The food really is worth it. But if you're looking for something new or interesting (or chile verde or seafood), there are other, more reliable, places to go to within the same vicinity. read more

This is a very interesting place. The one guy who works here is miserable. He is not nice at all and most likely will get short with you. He will literally chastise you if he thinks you're unclear, ask questions, or don't ring the bell to get his attention. I don't understand why he is this way with customers. The menu is about half of what it says because he's a one man show and doesn't offer most of what's on the menu. Prices are reasonable and food is above average. The salsa bar is good. My daughter was hungry and needed to have something to eat but if she wasn't as starved as she was I would've grabbed her and left. The man then came out and dropped the bag of food on the table we were sitting and said nothing. I was so confused why he was treating us so poorly - it was a simple order and he had no other customers but us? It didn't make sense. I then opened the bag of food and saw 3 tacos but what looked like old meat . It was DISGUSTING. I immediately threw it out. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME and MONEY.
