Jimboy' tacos has always been my favorite Tacos and combo meals are fantastic, Always quick and tasty service

We came for lunch on a Friday. There was a steady number of customers. The staff was quick to come to the counter to take our order. The restaurant is bright & roomy. It has plentiful seating at tables with chairs & cushioned bench seating. Two TVs were on sports channels. Music played in the background. It was very clean with a worker keeping tables & the floor tidied up throughout our stay. They had 4 beers on tap. Taco sauces, utensils, & napkins are self serve. They serve Pepsi products for fountain drinks. We got a ground beef taco plate, 3 ground beef tacos, & 3 chicken tacos. The vegetation was fresh. The tacos were filled well with tasty meat, cheese, & lots of crisp lettuce. They weren't greasy like at other locations we've been to. The rice was good, but the beans were a bit salty, both were served nice & hot. What really earned 5 stars was the customer service. An elderly duo with mobility issues were customers. Rather than call their order number out when ready, a staff member brought their trays to their table. He also spent time assisting them with a friendly, patient demeanor. At one point, they called him over to request the music be turned down, which he promptly responded to & checked in with them on. I appreciated seeing such kindness. Definitely one of the better Jimboy's locations to come to! read more

This location looks really new and it was very clean. The staff were very professional and friendly. We ordered the 9 taco pack and chips and queso. This fed our party of five. The tacos are sprinkled with Parmesan cheese and very good. It's famed as an American Taco so don't expect authentic Mexican cuisine. I am definitely coming back. Thumbs up Jimboy's! read more

Delicious as always... When I come here I have good memories with someone special... he knows who he is... Today, my friend and I ordered 6 tacos at $17 & change. When we ordered, it was dead, or I seem to have great luck at going out to eat when businesses get a break from the crowd. I like the bright lights above, and the giant windows make it bright during the day. It makes the set up in here gorgeous. The man that took our order offered us hot salsa to go with our tacos. I absolutely loved it, it definitely had some heat. Along the ordering counter, there was their signature Jimboy's taco sauce. I like Jimboy's because their tacos here are unique with the parmesan cheese on the outside of the crispy taco. Plus, the meat isn't just at the bottom. It's up the sides with lettuce and cheese, too. It was slightly uncomfortable sitting near the view of the kitchen... since it was not busy, the kitchen employees just kind of starred at the dining room area, people watching. First time we went in there, the door was unlocked but no one was at the counter or in the back. We waited 5 minutes and still no service. The second time we went in there, the cashier had an EarPod in and was sitting down in a chair behind the register. The food good though I rate the food a 10/10 but the service is a 3/10. read more

Beware!! They recycle food at this restaurant. We ordered tacos and had a few substitutions, but the receipt was correct. I had two taco that were incorrect, the gentleman at the counter didn't apologize or acknowledge, just walked to the counter with the incorrect tacos and I kid you not, I watched him consult with the kitchen staff, turn around with the same tray/tacos and give them to the next customer. Ultimately, the remade tacos were still incorrect and after some back and forth, I was refunded for two of the tacos. Walked in to this location around 2pm on a taco tuesday. Not busy at all. Definately one of the cleanest jimboys ive been too. Greeted by friendly smile. Took my order and i sat down. Minutes later my 3 tacos came up. Loaded w lettuce parm cheese and meat. Boy was this fresh. Most locations in Sacramento do not give you this much lettuce or or parm cheese. I'm old in my 30s now but 5 years ago I remember the bean and cheese burrito being an actual burrito and good. But In 2024, this is not a burrito, these is like a roll. Wow I can't believe inflation and shrinkflation. Literally paying more and receiving less, that's absolutely ridiculous. Again this is $4.50 which is not that expensive now a days. But geez just charge a dollar extra and make a real burrito, it's seriously not that hard. But this photo is a picture of everything wrong with this world, also a tortilla and beans is the CHEAPEST ingredients you have in this world. It really goes to show you this place is not even a restaurant, more just an establishment where they can squeeze their customers for money. Goodbye Jimboy's, I'm done with you. You suck. 1 star. Ehh, some times it's good sometimes it's not but in reality the whole jimboys chain has been going downhill for a while now. Service is pretty standard nothing to complain about. Prices are way too high for the food quality/quantity you get. If I'm going to be spending over $30 for some subpar small tacos and taquitos I'd rather just go to Alberto's the next freeway exit down. read more

Great quick service! Food is always good. I enjoy the green salsa. Food always is out usually in about 5 minutes & at most 10. Space always feels fairly clean & welcoming. I enjoy their tacos, bean burrito, stuffed quesadilla, taco salad. Everything is always a bit messy but that's because everything is loaddded. Definitely recommend for a quick lunch bite. read more

It had been way too long since I had Jim boys. What is not love about this place? They know how to put a taco together, the extra touches like the Parmesan cheese on the outside of the shell? I'm there. I ended up eating three tacos and the fries. If you don't know about Jimboys fries? You're missing out! Perfectly seasoned not too crispy not too soft. Just a delicious snack! I saw someone that had put nacho cheese on theirs, I've never done that, but I might have to try that next time. Ordering was fast, the restaurant was clean, so was the bathroom. Always a great lunch spot when I need to just grab food and enjoy a bit of quiet time from my busy schedule. Easy to order, great service , my chicken tacos are always perfectly made to order and they have tvs in there so I can eat and catch up on the news. Also it's affordable and semi healthy haha. All in all this is one of my go to fast food spots and easy access since it's right off the freeway, and near walmart so you can run errands after if you need to. read more

Wow! I've been a Jimboy's Tacos fan for years. It's my go to taco place when I want good cheap eats. I've noticed that some locations are better than others. I was mind blown when I stopped by this location for lunch. I normally order beef tacos without the shredded lettuce. Over the last few months, I've taken a liking to the chicken tacos. Here's where the chicken crosses the road... not all locations offer the same chicken. I know, crazy! Some offer grilled, and some offer shredded. While the shredded is OK, it's the grilled chicken that you are going to want to try. This is where this location far surpasses others. Their grilled chicken is off the charts delicious. What really blew my mind, was the generosity of quantity. My tacos were stuffed with chicken and cheese. My mouth is watering just thinking about how delicious they were. The pieces were huge too. Not some done little chucks, but nice meaty pieces. Before we were done paying, our tacos were already done, and waiting for us. Talk about amazing service. My pictures don't do the tacos justice. You really just need to try them. They have a menu full of other great eats, like burritos, enchiladas, etc. The tacos are just my personal favorite. The restaurant is kept super clean, the staff is friendly, and even the customers are friendly enough to say hello. The serve yourself soft drink machine is one of those cool select your concoction dispensers that adds to the greatness of this location. If you're really looking to score above trying the grilled chicken, join the " taco club" download the app, and a free beef taco will be yours. So I'm new to the area and have been wanting to try Jimboy's for a while now. While I'm glad to have tried it, the price makes it not something I'd likely get ever again. The food was all decent and even the basic ground beef was very flavorful. I also tried the carnitas and it was very good as well. The nachos are trash. I'd shy away from them. Based on the price you're better off with the street fries and you'll actually get full. The taco shells are dusted with cheese and it really makes it. The tacos are probably some of the best fast food tacos I've ever had. That being said, $3 for a taco that is somewhat similar to Jack in the Box (granted it's much better than JIB) who gives you two tacos for $2.19....why would you come here? They charge $2 for taco tuesday tacos....Rubio's gives you a fish taco with guacamole for $2....with our guac it's $1.75. I feel like everything at Jimboy's need to be at least $1 cheaper....then maybe I'd come back. All in all, its worth the try, but I wouldn't come back unless I had to. read more

This location never disappoints , unlike the other Rocklin location on Sunset which you ought to avoid, at least until new management takes over and improves things. In the meantime, the Crossings Dr Jimboys is great. Courteous and professional staff, it's clean, is open normal hours and the food tastes delicious. read more

This is the best Jimboy's I've been to. The food is made exactly how Jimboy's is intended to taste. I hate when I go to a Jimboy's and the quality is trash because it truly depends on how much the staff cares about their work. And on top of the food being so great, the customer service there is stellar. Jarvis is great. He not only guided me through the menu, he recommended different options to fit my liking. He also came to our table twice to make sure everything was going well. He also made sure to greet everybody who walked in the door as soon as they stepped food inside. I got the avocado salad with chicken. First time. The ingredients were fresh and honestly very tasty. The lettuce is nothing special. The chicken is pretty good. I wish they would have diced the tomatoes and avocado. They just left huge wedges which is a big difference for the salad. I had the tahoe burrito and it was hot and crunchy. read more

Easily the rudest, most condescending customer service I've had in many years. At checkout I noticed the small sign on the ATM-"Credit Cards will be charged 4%." I started laughing---"you charge extra for credit cards? I thought that went out in the 80!" Her response--"IT IS POSTED ON THE DOOR!!! Actually I would have paid for this, as this gift kept on giving my entire time there, and every time I looked up she was arguing with someone in line. I believe she was the owner/franchisee--just based on her bulldog attitude and engagement. Odd, because I was with a friend from the area who told me that she goes there often at night and the night crew was over the top friendly. *shrug* When we left I did look for the sign and found it. It gets better. She calls paying the menu prices with cash a "cash discount!" Lady, a discount is a discount, not a condition to pay published prices. So if you want to pay the prices you see, it's cash. If not, add 4%, which is well above what the card processors charge her, buy the way. The food was just OK--and it was practically thrown at me as they had given me someone elses order and she yelled that I made her have to remake the whole thing as I had touched it. Someone in line yelled out, "how would she know before she looked??" That got a laugh from most everyone. Thinking about if I'd return, probably, when I'm up there. I feel sorry for the woman, she came across as a miserable, spiteful person--a hater of unknown things for unknown reasons. If you actually want good quality go to the Orangevale location hands down the best quality just sad I have to drive 45min round trip to go to the Orangevale location just to get good quality... I came here tonight because I had a craving for some Mexican food I haven't had Jimboys tacos in forever and was doing some shopping in the area and decided to stop in for dinner upon coming in here I noticed right away how clean this establishment was right away as soon as I came in the guy working at the register looked up smile and said welcome in and I said thank you and I only had to wait not even five minutes my order was taken promptly and I got exactly what I had ordered which was a taco play two tacos rice and beans and a drink and for my mom I ordered her a burrito and a beef taco my food tasted delicious perfect temperature on everything nice and hot just the way I like it the chicken and the tacos was amazing cooked to perfection this place is good for the whole family they are great for lunch and great for dinner they are well known for their tacos the beef tacos which is also another favorite but I like chicken till they need to make a chicken beef taco together that would be pretty I would definitely try it if they got that I highly recommend this Jim boys for anybody who has a love a Mexican food like my cell they have authentic great delicious foods I will definitely be coming back here again very soon for more future visits in more green springs us to come thank you Jimboys tacos you guys are awesome I appreciate everything you do thank you for being so clean read more
