ok This SCM company sucks especially with AMAZON delivery. They THROW packages from soooo far. I caught them twice already in this last month. throwing our packages. and Today, I received packages and box looks all messed up...;( Dude... can you just NOT throw things. I actually yelled at one driver, "Don't throw it" cuz he throw my package from outside of our gate!!! ;0 who does that?? He didn't even say sorry, he just looked at me and walked away. I am always so please with the amazon delivery drivers from this company. They are well dressed, polite, and always put my boxes in the shady area near my house so the items don't get too hot. They've been so great as well during the quarantine making sure my deliveries are on time and in an area where they will not get stolen. I needed something picked up today from Huntington Beach and brought to Oceanside. I called 3 places and everyone was busy. The last place I called said we can't do it but call our friends at Southern California Messengers. I took a chance and called , I spoke with Joe he was so helpful and helped me arrange the pick up and delivery. When I was told the paperwork would be ready earlier I called back and he arranged an earlier pick up. It was very easy and I'm relieved I have my paperwork and can continue on with my day ! Absolutely awful experience. I had urgent medication that needed to be delivered and they completely dropped the ball. We were told it would be delivered by 5pm, then 7:30pm, then 7:45pm. When we called to inquire where they were they said the driver just called out sick. No communication whatsoever on an extremely important package that is time sensitive. The worst part is we paid $500 for a rush delivery. read more

About two weeks ago, I had an Amazon delivery from a well dressed young man wearing a Southern California Messengers shirt. He was very polite and helpful The package arrived so much faster than I expected it to which was great and it was in perfect condition. This driver had a wonderful attitude which helped make the arrival of my package a fun experience. I happened to have an emergency on a recent Sunday and I called them -- they answered right away and they did a great job with a great price. Porch thefts are well documented on the daily news-- Packages left out in the open for crooks to snatch is an easy target, yet SCM continues to leave my Amazon packages in plain sight despite my having a large basket behind pots at my front door with a BIG SIGN that says "leave packages here". the basket is easy to spot if the delivery person actually walks up to my door-- not so easy to spot if you're throwing the package at my door from 10 feet away. I had a situation where I need to purchase some items from the Fox Hills Mall and the shop was not set up to take payment over the phone nor ship out merchandise. Someone had referred me to SCM and that was the best thing they did since I was so stressed out and living three states away! As I called them and explained my situation, they assured me that they could fulfill my request timely. They were so professional and quick everything was processed the same day by close of business. I have had several negative experiences with this company. From late deliveries, rude drivers, to the latest near auto accident because of their careless driving, I do not like this company. I am an avid Amazon prime shopper and have had very good experiences with most Amazon delivery companies but for whatever reason have had three negative experiences with this particular courier company. Based on their customer service and lack of access to humans I would imagine they are the cheapest provider Amazon has. My preference would be for Amazon to work with their better providers and leave these losers alone. read more

I thought the Lady who delivered my Amazon order was a quarterback for the LA Rams by the way she threw my box from the door of her white van on the street onto my porch (easily about 15 feet). i went outside to confront her since I saw her throw it, and man, what a mouthful she had. I asked her why she couldn't walk the 15 feet to leave the box on the porch instead of tossing it, and all she replied, 'well, ups is worse. they don't even get out of their trucks'. i mentioned that my package sounded like it was in many pieces, and she said 'i can take it. amazon will refund you. they are rich. i don't care." in short, she ended up using bad words, unprofessional, an 'i don't give a shit' attitude. I called the company hq but gave me the runaround. I'll be contacting Amazon about this company. If you see a white SCM with plates 5395532, it's her. keep an eye on this lady's arm since she cares little and has a good arm. read more

I live/work in northern California and had to get a bicycle couriered from a retailer in Newport Beach to a photoshoot in Malibu, and then returned back to Newport Beach. I didn't know where to start, but I'm really glad I found SCM. Everything worked out really well and their level of communication and professionalism was second to none. I've tried contacting this company, but all the phone numbers are directed to voicemails with nothing other than "please leave a message" so I'm not sure where they are going or who this company is. I've purchased items on Amazon that are being tendered by this company (I believe, all I've seen is the logo on the carriers shirt and a white van). The packages are either not being delivered to my house, or are being delivered extremely late due to your carriers not waiting after ringing the buzzer to the building. They do not respond to the intercom and leave the moment they are done ringing the buzzer. We live in a very small 14 unit building and from the time that they ring the buzzer to the time that I get to the door, they are already driving away. I am able bodied and capable of running, so it surprises me that they aren't even trained to wait for slower moving people. Additionally, they do not leave notes or notices saying that they attempted a delivery - I'm only alerted by my Amazon updates. Today, I had to chase the delivery person who was "attempting" to deliver my package. There was about a 30 second delay between him ringing the buzzer and me running outside - in which time he had enough time to walk down the stairs and about 10 feet down the sidewalk. This means that he must have started walking away the moment he hit the buzzer. This is the third day in a row that they have left immediately after ringing the buzzer. I work from home and have been present for all three deliveries. I've heard the buzzer and have tried to initiate contact through the intercom and have run outside each time. The delivery person I finally was able to catch did not admit to leaving early, instead he tried to claim that he didn't hear anything from the intercom and that it was my fault I wasn't fast enough to catch him. He said that he followed his protocol, so I can only assume that he was not trained to do his job properly. It is not only highly unprofessional to not have a phone number to call in order to rectify situations like this and ensure deliverability to all of your customers, but to not train your delivery team to wait more than a few second after ringing a buzzer before leaving is extremely unacceptable. I'd prefer to rectify this and determine what the problem is so that everyone in my building who may happen to receive a package delivered by your company is able to receive it. Every other delivery company is able to gain access to our building and deliver without issues. I'm not sure what the problem is - I'd like to figure it out - but based on the current level of customer service, I'm doubtful. read more
