I come across Mesmerizing Lashes about a year and a half ago. My hair stylist would rave about this spot, and wouldn't stop saying how good of a job they all do on lashes. I have small eyes with small lashes, and needed to up my eyelash game. First time I come, I asked for them to use the sensitive glue, just in fear my eyes would have a reactions. I had 0 irritation. They lasted about 3 weeks, the style I asked for was the natural look. Cost $90.00 with debit card. I wish I knew if I paid with cash it's $80.00 bucks. Oh well, next time. After about a year I went back, which was January 5th. I was filming a video on my fillers, and needed my eyes to stand out. My appointment was scheduled for 10AM, I was out by 11:45AM. Not bad! This time I used the normal glue, and again with the natural look, but used a bit longer lashes. She worked my eyes, my eyes were on sleek. They look cute, and I have no need to use mascara. At times I did feel a bit of a burn, when the glue got to close to the water line, but nothing major. The girl who did my eyelashes was gentle, and made sure they look good, and that they both had the right amount of lashes. Customer service is great, they text to confirm your appointment, and respond quickly. Make sure to bring cash to pay $80.00 dollars, and not $90.00. You'll need the extra bucks to tip your girl good. I have sensitive skin and eyes, but the normal glue didn't cause any irritation. Plus, using the normal glue will make your lashes last longer. Make sure to be back before the 3 week mark to only pay $50.00. Every time I get my lashes done, I take a quick one hour nap. I wake up refreshed. Came here for a removal & usually lash artists are supposed to wipe off the removal substance for you & wash it off. After removing my lashes, she left the substance on my eye & told me to go to the restroom blindly & wash it off, with no assistance. Lien is GREATTTT! Every time she does my lashes it lasts at least four weeks or longer. I also take really good care of my lashes as well so maybe that's why it lasts so long, just make sure you don't pick at it or pull it out even when it's irritating otherwise she won't have the real strand of eyelash to put the falsies on. Had my lashes done by Lien today! I was super nervous going in. This was my 1st time getting my lashes done. I laid on the bed and she asked what kind of look I wanted. There is a canvas in the room with different styles to chose from. I choose the natural look. It took about 45 minutes and I was done! Lien was super gentle and quick! Unsure what happened This go around but I've been getting my lashes done for a while and this time my left eye feels irritated. It's red and The eye hurts when I rotate it it almost feels like pink eye. I felt discomfort only in this eye during the fill appointment such as stinging. Thought it was normal bc usually the adhesive does make your eyes water. Unsure of what caused this, but it burns and stings even when I tear up, leading me to believe that I have a scratch. I got my lashes done here a week ago. First time customer and first time getting extensions. I chose this place because it was near my place and it seemed to have good reviews. I was asked what style I wanted, so I asked for natural looking lashes. She didn't walk me through anything or say how they would turn out, and looking back, I should've been more assertive to ask before laying down. I came out looking like I had pretty big falsies on, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it's not what I asked for. I figured I'd get used to them, but I wasn't super comfortable with how they looked. During the appointment, my technician would leave or be on the phone. She'd poke me in the eye a few times with the tweezers/extensions, I was worried she was too distracted to focus on my eyes.... she finished my lashes after about an hour, which made me worry she rushed through it... After just a day or so after my appointment, my eyes were stinging during the day and lashes started falling out and I noticed they were cluster lashes, not single lash extensions! I looked at my lashes closely in the mirror and saw there were lashes that were glued in sideways, some were even sticking out into my eye! I've tried brushing them out or at least positioning them straight, but they'd just go back, so I decided to pick some of the stubborn ones out. I know I'm not supposed to touch them, but what would you do if you had lashes poking your eye? I'm wondering if I should find another salon to fix them, or if I should just wait and hope they fix themselves when they shed. Extensions are so expensive, and I'm worried going to another place will make them worse or damage my actual lashes. Also: I just saw on yelp that this place is bribing people for 5-star reviews. I don't usually write Yelp review but felt the need to write this one. I've been to both locations. The first time I went to the cypress location and I loved my lashes. The only downside was that she poked me with the tweezers a couple times and I noticed she was using only one tweezer meaning that she was separating my lashes with her left hand/nails. I didn't remember seeing her sanitize her hands or anything before working on me and she was touching her phone and other surfaces. Red flag #1&2. The next day my eyes were super red and irritated. I had gotten a chemical burn from them. #3. About 2 weeks ago, I decided to try this location and booked with lien. Maybe they'll do it properly without using their nails to separate my lashes and will sanitize/hand wash. Nope. Another . This location does the same exact thing. I can feel her acrylic nails separating my lashes with one hand and using tweezers on the other hand to place them on my lash. This place was literally pulling my eyelid OPEN to place the lash on. Wth?!?! My eyes were burning and watering the whole time !!! No trained lash artists are ever taught to do that, you're supposed to keep your eyes CLOSED. I have social anxiety so I didn't feel comfortable to speak up but my god I should have because I really can't believe she was doing that?! And worse of all, she rushed my full set. She finished in less than an hour and my lashes were clumped together and clustered. She didn't even take the time to make ACTUAL fans and she was gluing them on top of each other. The lashes were going all sorts of different directions. I wish I would've taken pics before ripping out all the ugly ones that were worse than these here so you can really see how bad it was. Also, the lashes that they use are so hard and thick. They feel extremely uncomfortable on my lashes they literally feel like plastic. One star because I liked my lashes at the first location and because I can't give them 1.5. I don't think they deserve 2 stars. read more
