    Low Carb Sushi Burrito

Burrito was great! It satisfied my craving, had generous portions and everything tasted super fresh and flavorful. Staff was able to help me order from the kiosk inside and answered my questions over the phone. They still took my order even though I came right before closing. Relatively expensive for what you're getting but I don't mind paying a little extra to support a Jewish business. The only downside was you couldn't order at the counter and you had to use the digital kiosk which was frustrating but understandable. Other than that I will definitely return when my craving comes back! Thanks, Meshuga!

This is a Jewish sushi spot, so don't expect shrimp or crab on the menu--but honestly, you won't miss them. The sushi here is always fresh and delicious, and the service is consistently top-notch. The space inside is a little tight, so seating can be limited, but it's absolutely worth a visit. I make it a point to stop by every time I'm in the area, and it never disappoints.

I wanted to try here for quite some time, so I'm glad I finally did because I loved their ooey gooey rolls. Such a cute name! I find their prices on point and their rolls quite inventive. I can never find sweet potato rolls at places - but Meshuga 4 Sushi has two! Score! Everything we ordered was delivered perfectly and tasted delicious. Loved the Cannon Ball and Extreme Sweet Potato roll. My favorite of the bunch though was the Crunchy Munchy Baked Salmon roll - 8 pieces stuffed with baked salmon and sesame seeds with tempura and sauces. Spicy and nomz. I love mushrooms but was sad I wasn't obsessed with their Mushroom Mania. A very unique item though so don't hurt to give it a try, ymmv. Overall, satisfied and wouldn't mind ordering from here again!

    Ginger and a cucumber salad.

Placed a Uber delivery order. The delivery service was excellent. The food was very disappointing. Spicy tuna roll, and a cucumber salad. The sushi was just ok, mediocre, I had better from my local grocery store. The ginger was terrible, very dry, with a mild unpleasant smell. The cucumber salad was not edible, wilted not crispy fresh as expected. I will not waste my time and money again at Meshuga 4 Sushi again.

Large 100 Piece Specialty Rolls Platter

Boy does this place know how to make sushi platters! When I've had family in town, we've ordered the 100 specialty roll platter and it's been excellent every time. You can choose the rolls you get (including the low-carb rolls, which are great). The platters are made so beautifully and well organized and hold up well! The platters also come with all the condiments, fixings, and ginger you need. Most importantly, the sushi is delicious! Highly recommend ordering their sushi and indulging in their platters if you are inviting a lot of hungry people over!

This is such a yummy flavorful dish. Also plenty of food. Fast and friendly service. Food tastes so clean and fresh. Kosher style sushi, who knew. I'll definitely be back to try other items on their menu.

Pretty good service! I like it! Check out pics! Food is good. I ordered pick up and it was quick

Meshuga 4 Sushi is the ONLY place we go for sushi! The food is always fresh and ready to order. They have a huge variety of speciality rolls to go along with the simple ones. For special occasions or holidays we usually do the platter and it's just the right amount of sushi. Definitely recommend!

Kosher sushi! There are 2 locations: one on Pico and one on La Brea. Both are a delight to work with. They have a very nice and more unique selection not vegetarian/vegan friendly rolls. My favorite of which is hands down the Green Dragon Roll (not pictured because I gobbled both up in an instant). If I could learn to make it at home myself, I certainly would! The flavors are amazing together and always very well presented. This location has 2 spaces available on the street in front for brief customer parking for order pickup. The ordering process is streamlined by a very neat giant tablet for you to create, place, and pay for your order. Wait time is pretty brief. I ordered 3 green dragon rolls and it only took around 10 min. HIGHLY recommend!

On my 2nd visit I had their new Poke Bowl with spicy tuna, edamame, avocado, rice etc. The portion was large and it was phenomenal..best poke bowl I've had in LA this year and it being kosher is a great bonus! My seared albacore was also a 1st place for the year and the popcorn imitation shrimp(real shrimp being shellfish isn't Kosher) super yummy. Staff is A+-one of the best in town. This is a must visit for poke bowl/sushi fans at reasonable prices in LA and it being Kosher is an unbeatable combo.

The Assorted Sashimi was fun for the two of us to each try 6 premium pieces. Everything tasted fresh and high quality with a different garnish accompanying each piece! The cucumber salad was refreshing and crunchy to munch on in between sushi bites. Their Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice surprised me with an arrangement of flavors and textures that went together magically. I would have gotten a second order if stomach space wasn't a concern. Next we had the Yellowtail Sashimi, which of course had sliced jalapeño on top. I don't care how many restaurants put that out, it's always fantastic. The only roll we got was the Cherry Blossom roll, I was intrigued by the menus indication that it didn't have rice. A large roll with 11 pieces came out that was 95% fish, the remaining 5% being bits of avocado and two sauces that paired exquisitely. It tasted excellent. Our server recommended their Kid Season sake which was exactly what I was looking for: filtered and semi sweet. Highly recommend!

Nice of the chef to switch out roe for halibut for me on my omakase. However, probably the worst omakase I've ever had. No creativity, nothing felt premium, chewy fish, flavors didn't mesh, and half of it was salty. The miso soup wasn't scorching, which i appreciated at first but that meant the last few sips were fairly room temp. The real crab handroll was good. If the price point was $35 sushi set I'd give 5/5 but this is supposed to be premium omakase. I've been to other Sushi Enya locations and had good experiences, so this was very disappointing. Stick to the rolls and nigiri.

It was definitely not what I've expected or ever experienced in a Japanese restaurant. We were quickly greeted by the staff and be seated by the wall. The upholstery of our seats were torn. The area where we were sitting was a bit too dark and could definitely add more lights for customers to see their menus. After giving a look at the menu, our server asked if we were ready. I said it's our first time so we need some time to look through the menu. She replied ok and left. We mainly ordered sushi items. Servers brought over each item one at a time. When I almost finished mine, my family is still waiting for theirs. You do see the staff walk by the tables constantly. However, I would hope the servers would ask how is everything and if we need anything else. Overall, sushi tastes fine. I probably won't be back given the experience that we had.

I also really liked the amount and variety of dishes served outside of the nigiri, so the meal felt substantial and well paced. The food itself was good and well executed, but for the price point, I was hoping for something more memorable or distinctive. A lot of the dishes and flavor profiles felt very familiar and similar to what I've had at many other more traditional omakase experiences. Nothing was bad by any means, but there wasn't a particular bite or flavor combination that surprised me or stayed with me afterward. The second time I came here, they had firefly squid (in season) which was a delight. If you're newer to sushi or omakase, I think this would be a great experience. But if you eat omakase frequently, there are other places around this price point that I think offer something a little more unique or memorable.

Honestly, this place was a little more authentic than the run-of-the-mill sushi spot we probably should have gone to with kids who mostly want California rolls, spicy tuna, and chicken teriyaki. But I chose it on purpose because I wanted something genuinely authentic in Little Tokyo, and I'm really glad I got to try something new. I had the pork loin katsu (around $26-28). It was super moist and had great crispiness, so no complaints there. But when I saw "pork loin," I expected a leaner, firmer cut, and this had a lot of fatty pieces. The breading also didn't hold onto the fat, so it kind of fell apart in spots. It was still really good, I just would've expected it to be leaner. I've since learned loin katsu traditionally keeps the fat on for flavor, so if you prefer lean like me, the tenderloin (hire) katsu might be the better pick. I'd give it about a 7 (maybe a 6.9). It came as a set with rice, miso soup, and three little side dishes, kind of like Korean banchan. They weren't bad, but they're definitely an acquired taste and you'd have to be adventurous. There was also a soft tofu custard-type dish that wasn't sweet and was really bland. I wouldn't order it again, but maybe I just didn't eat it the right way, and I'd love to learn how if that's the case. No disrespect to the culture at all. I'm not a picky eater, a lot of the set meal just didn't appeal to me. The yellowtail jalapeño cut roll (~$20) was really good quality. My son got yellowtail and spicy tuna hand rolls ($9 each). The chicken teriyaki was a standout: super crispy, a smooth batter different from the katsu (not tempura), and really good flavor, about a 7.8. They also have kid-friendly stuff like fries. And whatever that mustard mayo sauce on the table is, it's amazing. I dipped my fries, chicken, and katsu in it and it definitely helped. Drinks: I was a little shocked at $16 for a hot sake for sake bombs, and it wasn't even a bigger carafe. Beer was average priced, thank God. As I say in a lot of my reviews, anything past $9 for a beer and you're basically being robbed. Service was excellent. Everyone was super friendly and so accommodating with our three loud kids, which I really appreciated. It's somewhat kid-friendly; there were a couple of other kids there, so it's not a hoity-toity place. Overall, 7.8. Food pricing was fair, but a lot of the set meal was a dud for me, and I'd order something different next time. Still, it was a fun experience and I'm grateful we tried somewhere truly different.
