My 2 stars are for Sandra. She is the best person in that building. I had a mastectomy on Friday November 11th 2022 with reconstruction the same day. A call it a BOTCHED reconstruction. My stitches looked like they were recreating Frankenstein. Terrible! A blind person could have done better. I saw a doctor on Saturday the 12th and I saw Dr Meshbahi on Sunday November 13th, who too a looked at my breast, said the "blister" I had was normal and that I could go home that day. I went to his office every week with the "blister" that had festered. Every week I asked to see the doctor and was told he was either out of town or out of the country. My wound was clearly infected and until it was healed I could not start my Chemo. I aske Gretchen every week "What kind of a doctor does not see his patient after a surgery like that? I was mortified. I finally got him to see me on December 23rd. I was told it was not so bad and no rush but they could fix it. Then came the wonderful Sandra telling me she wanted me to be at NOVA Fairfax at 6 AM the next morning, Christmas Eve morning.........Oh it wasn't that bad that I had to have surgery the next morning. Following this surgery the stitches were beautiful. How they should have been the first time. I really don't know who stitched me the first time but it was bad. I was told before reconstruction that they would make my breast even but that was not true. Basically I have one and a half breasts and wonky at that. Not only was the surgery bad but the doctor was very rude. My sister asked him a question when I finally got to see him and he swung his chair around and quote, he said "Who are you? Part of team criticism? I strongly would not refer him to my worst enemy. read more

I had DIEP FLAP ( I am a breast cancer patient) Very disappointed how my surgery turned out , I ended up with a mesh and they didn't tell about it until my 3 months check up. First they said it will dissolve 12-18 months then they said 6 months. I'm in constant pain, swelling and he said he doesn't know why so he referred me to a general surgeon. General surgeon said that is nothing he can do and not sure why I got send there . The purpose for me to have this surgery was because I had DMX and didn't wanted implants . I clearly said I don't want any foreign object inside me and I ended up with a mesh and couple connectors in my chest area . The mesh so I don't have hernia , no one ever mentioned about mesh before or after surgery if I know I never do it . I just have DMX and move on with my treatment. I send msg , voicemail and no one responding back just extremely disappointed I will never return to this office again. read more

I will be forever grateful to Dr. Mesbahi and his amazing team. I originally had a sub-muscular double mastectomy performed elsewhere, which ended up being a disaster. Placing the implants under the pectoral muscle greatly reduced my quality of life. I was referred to Dr. Mesbahi and he suggested to continue breast reconstruction by doing the pre-pectoral conversion surgery. I can say it was the best decision of my life. The pre-pectoral conversion surgery gave me my life back; I don't feel any more pain, I can exercise, I don't have anxiety as before, and I can sleep without discomfort. For the first time I feel that life will get back to normal after going through breast cancer treatment. Dr. Mesbahi was incredible! I had a surgery date for a double mastectomy two weeks after my breast cancer diagnosis, and him and his staff were extremely accommodating. I was under his care for almost a year and he made a very challenging time much easier for me and my family. Dr. Mesbahi was compassionate, clear, and very helpful during all of my visits. I was always very comfortable with him and he has great bed-side manner. Dr. Mesbahi is very kind, respectful, and was always attentive to my needs. He patiently walked me through everything, was always very honest, and answered all of my questions and more throughout the entire process. I had a wonderful experience with everyone in the office. Dr. Mesbahi, his PA Louisa, and his entire office staff were professional, welcoming, and extremely helpful from day one. Andrea at the front desk always had such pleasant and uplifting attitude and Debbie was extremely helpful during my first visit when I was in the process of choosing a plastic surgeon for my breast reconstruction. As I told Dr. Mesbahi: "I LOVE my face!" I was afraid of botox for a number of reasons, and it was important for me to find someone that not only had experience but also good taste. His office is beautiful, and he is so kind and took plenty of time to listen to me, and that was important for me since I was nervous. Then he explained how he likes to work and what botox is supposed to look like and told me what to expect. I felt pretty good, and when he proceeded with the injections, I almost didn't feel anything; he was very delicate and at the end gave me instructions to take care of myself for the rest of the day (example: do not exercise etc). Then told me to wait about a week to fully see the results. I went a week ago, and I'm writing this review now that the botox has settled. I look fresh, I see no fine lines anywhere, I can move my face perfectly fine, I look like myself; no, actually... I look like my younger self and I am loving every inch of my face! I do not recommend Dr. Ali-Reza Nouri-Mesbahi (AKA Dr. Alex Mesbahi / Dr. Ali Mesbahi) of "National Center For Plastic Surgery" for a DIEP Flap Breast Reconstruction. NCPS is located at 7601 Lewinsville Road, Suite 400 in McLean, VA 22102 and the phone number is (703) 287-8277. The "Immediate DIEP Flap Breast Reconstruction" surgery performed by Dr. Mesbahi on February 12, 2019 was poorly done. It left me with bilateral bulges of tissue that extended from my armpits to the bottom of my breasts, which I did not have prior to the procedure. It felt uncomfortably abnormal as if I were carrying "one little pillow" under each armpit at all times. Additionally, it left me with "Frankenstein" stitches on my abdomen sitting too high (3 inches below my navel) and two small "dog ears" on each side of the suture line. When I mentioned the problems to Dr. Mesbahi, all I got was a "blank stare." Neither sympathy nor an apology was extended. Later, my Radiation Oncologist informed me I had to "close the gaps" in the suture line under my left breast before proceeding with my vitally necessary RADIATION TREATMENTS. As a result, on March 21, 2019, I had to go back to the office to get 6 more stitches put under my left breast because clearly the suturing was not done correctly during the DIEP Flap Reconstruction surgery on February 12, 2019. On March 28th, Louisa (Dr. Mesbahi's Physician Assistant) removed 3 stitches from under my left breast, and on April 1st the last 3 stitches were removed by Gretchen (Dr. Mesbahi's Physician Assistant). I was "free" to start my radiation program after April 1st as opposed to February 21st (when my last 3 drains were removed). The difference between April 1st and February 21st is a 40-day delay in the start of my radiation program. All in all, the results of my "Immediate DIEP Flap Breast Reconstruction" left my breasts not only asymmetrical, but unsmooth, hollow in some areas, and overall, inconsistent to the touch. The contour was horrendous, to say the least. The "look and feel" problems I experienced with my breasts occurred PRIOR to the radiation treatments. I was extremely disappointed with THE FINAL RESULTS of my "Immediate DIEP Flap Breast Reconstruction" done by Dr. Mesbahi. Therefore, I DO NOT recommend him to anyone! read more

I recently got a rhinoplasty with Dr. Mesbahi and I was very impressed with his work and that of his office staff. The staff (nurses, PA's, patient coordinators, front desk) was not only professional but went above and beyond at each appointment. My nose looks exactly as I had discussed with Dr.Mesbahi. His care and attention has extended beyond the surgery with follow-ups to ensure the desired results. I was most impressed with how easy the process was- the day of surgery was quick and comfortable. The doctors and nurses made sure I was comfortable and relaxed, especially as I was feeling nervous before going in. I didn't experience any pain, just mild discomfort and minimal bruising that lasted about 4 days. Overall the experience was stellar, I shopped around for surgeons in New York and Los Angeles, but I'm really glad I found Dr.Mesbahi and his team. read more

I've been getting Botox for years, but this was my first time going to Dr. Mesbahi. My forehead lines are gone, it looks natural and I still have movement between my eyebrows. The best part is I don't have any strange looking creases, and it looks even. The procedure was virtually painless, he answered my questions about fillers, but didn't talk me into anything I didn't need. I went to Dr. Mesbahi for a rhinoplasty January of 2018 and after the first surgery, after my nose healed a good amount, it was completely lopsided. After having to sit with it for over a year, he did a revision rhinoplasty in February 2019 and I am still so unhappy with my nose because it still looks lopsided and nothing like I wanted. He made it seem as if I were going to get the nose I wanted before I got surgery with him but it's nothing like I how I hoped. Now, I have to go to a different plastic surgeon and spend even more than I had planned in order to get it fixed. I will not be going back to him, and I would definitely not recommend him for any type of cosmetic surgery. I am extremely unhappy. read more

Let me start by saying that I am a medical provider at the emergency room. So when I was looking for a plastic surgeon for my rhinoplasty, I made sure to do my research. when I came across DR. Mesbahi's reviews and website, I made an appointment and I felt comfortable that I signed the contract. The day of the surgery was uneventful. When I woke up, my mom told me the surgery took a lot longer than expected. I didn't think anything of it at first. Fast forward to my post op appointment. I asked Dr. Mesbahi why the surgery took longer than expected, he replied that it didn't. I was confused because I got charged for extra time in the operating room and my mom, who was with me during my procedure, told me it took longer. So why would he lie about a minor detail? Now I am two years out. My nose is asymmetric. I have two different profiles depending on which way I turn. One side of my nose is different than the other side. To top things off, I have a bigger issue which is my breathing. My sense of smell has diminished TREMENDESLY. Which is a huge problem for me since I have a newborn and I need to smell if he had a bowel movement. And I need my sense of smell to work in the emergency department so I can detect infections etc...Since I struggle to breath normally, I started to snore which wakes my husband up at night and forces him to sleep in a different bed. I discussed my concerns with DR. Mesbahi, who told me that I needed another surgery, and he could refer me to an ENT (ears, nose, throat) specialist. He was non-apologetic, unsympathetic, and flat affect as if what happened to me didn't matter. Which of course it didn't as long as he got his money. I don't have money to fix a mistake he made and go through another surgery because of him. I am beyond frustrated. It was the WORST decision I ever made. I just wanted my nose to look a certain way and now I am paying a higher price than I expected for my choice. Dr. Mesbahi has ruined my nose esthetically and functionally. He couldn't have done a worse job. I don't recommend him to my worst enemy. read more

Very disappointed with my experience. I'm one of Dr. Mesbahi's patient. October they called me to sched my surgery for December and it would take 4wks for recovery. So I took FMLA (Dr.Mesbahi's office charge payment just to sign it), applied for short t. disability, applied off from my 2 jobs, and my mom took off from her job in CA just to fly here and assist me. 1 week before the surgery they called me and told me it was cancelled. (This is not the first time btw that they cancelled an aptmt.) They just said I havent seen my oncologist and I told them I already have an appointment with them before the surgery and all they said "No, its cancelled". I talked with Dr. Denduluri my oncologist and she was surprised too and said she didn't have a say in it. Also gave me a letter for Mesbahi's office. I just survived Cancer and hoping to get all this behind me but this group have no care for the patient and very unprofessional.. I am not happy with my reconstruction ( breast cancer ) my breast is not even and when I bend I can feel the silicon moving. Half of my breast implant empty, and half is under my arm. Every time I go for my Check up they tell me I should go and fix it but who wants to go throw that pain again read more
