Chorizo and potato burrito with a pint of beer. Yummy!

Really enjoyed this small place with big flavours. I've had Mexican food all over Mexico and the US. All I can say is I had a great burrito that was in a style I enjoy (not wet tortilla) and was very savoury. Now, if they had a selection of house made salsas, green and red, rather than all bottled habaneros, it would make a perfect blend.

I decided to give this cute local place a try in Fernwood with my grandma, and I was pleasantly surprised!! It was great affordable food which can be so hard to find these days. I have been to Café México many times, and the cocktails here are much more palatable. The food felt as authentic Mexican and came out very quick , and the server we had tonight was great. Definitely recommend this place!

Service was really good but the food was not what I call "authentic ". Chips were from a bag

Sorry I am not sure what the dessert was, but it was very good. We were celebrating my daughters birthday and it was a nice touch with the sparkle firework candle. They also give you free popcorn as a nibble. I got The Savant white - so good I just ordered a second glass. As for food we got the smoked fish dip, charred romaine, and Mushroom Lo Bok Go to start and then shared the special for main which was the tuna tataki. The fish dip was good, I would just serve it with wider chips so it's easier to pick up. Flavour was great. The charred romaine was something our wonderful server recommended which we wouldn't order had he not told us to and we were really happy we did! The sauce was so good on this dish! The mushroom dish was interesting and yummy. The tuna tataki was prob my favourite in terms of flavour - it was dilly with beautiful big chunks or tuna and fingerling potatoes. Overall we enjoyed our experience here!

We really liked the colourful decor and the Spanish influence of their food. I got their el porco Benny. The carmelized apples was an interesting sweet addition that was very different from Bennies from the past. I liked how yellow the hollandaise sauce was. The pulled pork was nice, but a bit smaller than I thought there would be. Their house made hot sauce is quite spicy so if you're a hot sauce lover you'll love it. It was a very filling meal overall and I had a great experience.

The decor was unique, cozy, and Mexican xD! We ordered the chilaquiles skillet, Spanish omelette, and the mango mama pancakes. My husband also ordered a side of hash brown. The pancakes came first and they were five small pancakes with blueberries, mango, and syrup. They were delicious and I think mango was seasoned already as it tasted slightly different than fresh mango. The waitress recommended the chef's skillet, so we got that instead. It came with fresh avocado, beans, and quite a lot of mushed tortilla with cheese. I enjoyed it but I'm not a fan of the texture so much. The omelette was probably my favorite out of the three dishes. The cornbread that came with it was also interesting. I didn't pay much attention to it at first since I wasn't very big on cornbread, but the crispy sides were really nice, and I guess that's why people on reddit were in love with the cornbread here. The hash browns were basically fries/fried potatoes to me with some green onion and sour cream. My husband enjoyed it but I wasn't a big fan as it seems super filling. We managed to finish everything with the three of us. The service was good, and they also refilled my hot water once as well. I don't remember the vibe as nothing was playing at that time. There weren't a lot of people dining there between 10 to 11 am on a Thursday either. The only downside here is that they only had one unisex bathroom, so you might need to wait for a while if they are busy. Ps I gave price a 4 stars mainly because usd is close to 1.5 CAD right now.

I discovered Arepa several years back in Raleigh in NCSU campus and always felt that's the best Arepa I ever had. But then comes this place which absolutely set the bar even higher. Their Arepas are really good - given I just tried a black bean Arepa - no meat. I loved it. I also enjoyed their sauces and it is just fun to experiment with different sauces and enjoying the flavors. I won't be surprised if all their sauces were housemade. My friend got Chicken Empanadas and this was first time he was having Venezuelian food - he really liked it. We also tried Flan - it was okay. You probably don't want to try lot of desserts here. I have had this place before when it was on 50th and I was much more impressed this time around. I really enjoyed all the sauces they provided for the table: garlic, cilantro, chipotle, spicy, and habanero. The empanada was soooo tasty and the beef in everything was great. The location is conveniently across from a big and pretty empty parking lot so it was also easy to drop in to eat. I will definitely be craving this place again.
