I have been meaning to post this review for quite a while now. I had the most amazing experience with this Dental office. Dr. Vu, Lia, Stephanie and the rest of the office were phenomenal. I came in needing a TON of work done, and over the course of 15+ appointments, without fail they were kind, gentle, caring, compassionate and always made sure I understood everything. Even offering me a blanket when I got cold! They truly care about their patients and make you feel like family. Unfortunately I had to move out of state before we were completely finished with my treatment plan, and I am appreciating Mesa Dental Care even more now! I have not been able to find similar care up here and I am seriously considering traveling back to Mesa, to complete my dental journey. I cannot recommend them enough, they are absolutely fantastic. Dr Vu is amazing. My 12 year old granddaughter had to have a baby tooth extracted before she could get braces. Her tooth had very long, curved roots that had not yet begun dissolving. The other tooth was pushing in around that tooth. They were worried that it would get impacted. It was a difficult extraction, but Dr Vu took her time and made sure she was not in pain. Her work with children is top quality and very caring. Dr Vu and her staff demonstrate great care with their patients and I would recommend her to any family and friends. She engages with the youth and finds things in common to talk about. Love the office and staff, most of all Love Dr Vu!!! read more

I made an appointment 3 weeks in advance and provided the office with my insurance information. I made sure to get the time off and I arrived early for paperwork. I was called back to the desk after doing the paperwork and was told that since my insurance pays for a panorama x Ray only once every 5 years that I couldn't be seen. No other options were offered. I was only there for a cleaning but couldn't they have checked with insurance ahead of time and then tell me the cost of the x Ray? My time was totally wasted and so was theirs. I have found another dentist that is more proactive about taking care of administrative items. read more

For my first visit to this office I was greeted and asked to fill out some paperwork. I was then escorted by a hygienist that appeared to not want to be there. She took me to a room where I waited about 20min before she came back and said the computer was broken and we needed to change rooms so I could get my x-rays done. I followed her to another room, she asked me where I thought my problem area was (This meant she was only going to x-ray those specific locations and not my entire mouth). I explained that my filling fell out of my back tooth, so that's the only part of my mouth she photographed. Then she took me to the original room, after a few minutes she laughed and said well this computers still broken, let's find somewhere else. I followed and then was left alone for 23min. Another person came in, I'm guessing he was one of the dentists, he was young and gave me an awkward fist bump. He said the x-ray showed my filling as being loose and that it wasn't completely gone. He recommended a cap instead of redoing the filling. My insurance isn't the greatest but I would only have to pay $75 for a new filling instead of $589 for a cap. He said he would see what options were available. A second dentist came over, a much older man, and after glancing at my single x-ray he told the first dentist that I'd need a second filling done on the tooth closest to my problem area. They both left and another 10min went by, I was seriously debating falling asleep... Anywho, a brand new face popped in asking what I wanted to do. I said I didn't have the money for a cap. She told me that the office has payment plans (basically anything under $1000 is about $150 a month, and anything over $1000 was $50ish, but this may vary on the procedure). I filled out a credit application but was denied. I told her I'd have to think about it, right as I was finishing my conversation the dentist came back and said not to wait too long or I'd need a root canal. So overall, I didn't get my cleaning, I got one x-ray taken, and was told that I'd need to pay almost $600 for a cap and a new filling... Well that's a hard pass. The front desk people seem friendly but as soon as you sit in that dentist chair you get to see the real side of this business, money hungry and carelessness. I'm currently still looking for a dentist. read more

Dr. Nia did an outstanding job repairing a chip in my tooth. Where others may have taken the easy route and shaved down my teeth, he did not want to compromise anything from my smile and fixed my teeth using composite. I can't stop smiling! read more

They sent me to the crown laboratory to ensure I got just the right shade to match. Please be careful! I have shared on Google my experience earlier as well but again feel it is my responsibility to get out there what happened to me so that no one else has to go through what I went through. 3 months ago I had zero problems with my teeth, zero pain, zero sensitivity...nothing. I made the mistake of walking in to Mesa Dental Care and trusting they had my best interest at heart. They told me I needed a ton of fillings on both sides of my mouth...though I had zero cavities and zero problems. She said I needed them because I grind my teeth. I remember looking right at her and asking her if this is really necessary with no cavities or problems. In retrospect I can see how she came across and nervous and dishonest in demeanor, but hindsight is 20/20. She said yes, I need them because if I don't do this I am going to need crowns on all these teeth. Zero risks were explained, nothing, just making me feel as though I had to do this or I would have all sorts of problems. Had any risks whatsoever been explained to me, there's no way I would have done this and I think they know that because of how nervous I was. I was not familiar with risks as I never really had any prior dental work done outside of a few cavities filled over a decade ago with no problems from them. Then I was encouraged to purchase their discount plan because I had no insurance. I went through with one side of my mouth and for the last 3 months I have been living a nightmare. I am very in tune with my body and knew pretty immediately something was not right. I went back a few times and they just kept adjusting but not really doing any further investigating to see what was going on or help the problem. However, the dentist did say this was a learning experience for her which upsets me to this day because I'm the one who has had to pay the price for that emotionally, financially, and with pain. Luckily I got some more opinions. When I brought my original x rays (before MDC did any work) I was asked why they would have ever touched my teeth, that my teeth were beautiful. She agreed they had wear but no reason to ever do something like this. Other dentists tried literally everything MDC didn't do to try to rectify the problem including but not limited to a round of steroids to take the inflmmation down, taking the 2 fillings out that continued to cause pain and try sedative fillings etc. Once they still hurt after the sedative fillings it was more clear root canals were needed. MDC destroyed my trust in dentists even though everyone else has been wonderful. So I got 2 Endodontist opinions as well and ultimately needed two root canals...on teeth that were perfectly fine before MDC. The endodontist said when she did the fillings the nerves were damaged in the process. And these were shallow, small fillings. And not just one, but 2. There's no words for how difficult these past 3 months have been. I can't begin to tell you how its affected my life and the THOUSANDS of dollars it has cost to try to stop this pain and repair my teeth. Again, after MDC did the fillings they did not want to take steps to rectify the problem. Interesting enough though, is when the dentist realized I was struggling with the first side of fillings, she admitted that no I don't need them on the other side. Why on earth was she so adamant on me doing this then? No other dentist seems to understand why these were done to begin with. I received no response or empathy from the owner of this place which says a lot. I don't want anyone else to ever have to go through this. I really wanted to love this place. I gave them the benefit of the doubt for as long as I could because I try to believe in the goodwill of people: however I Iost a lot here because of trusting them as the professionals. Be careful, question everything, and take care! read more

But when I had my first visit I overheard the receptionist lady arguing with a customer over the phone saying "if you call this place again I will call the cops" I thought "wow what a crazy customer maybe" then I had to reschedule an appt because I had scheduled it too early and had overslept(my 5 month old spiked a fever and I hadn't gotten any sleep) so she tells me to go in at 2 but I called and said I couldn't make it because I was going to take my daughter to the doctor. & she was said "well, if you miss your next appt then find another dental office!!" I gave this clinic a much longer shot than I should have. I went to them for about a year, and saw them for both general cleanings and fillings. The first time I went to see them, after getting a full set of X-rays done, I was told I had five cavities and would need to get them filled. Okay, sure - I hadn't been to a dentist in years and I believed them. I decided to have all five fillings done in one visit to save time, and when I arrived I told the dentist that I might need more than one injection of lidocaine in each side, as I'd experienced pain and sensitivity in the past during fillings after being injected. The dentist told me I'd probably be fine, as my cavities weren't too bad, but he'd give me more if I felt anything. We get started, he completes the fillings in one side of my mouth without issue, but when he moved to the other side and began drilling, I flinched in pain. Then, with me sitting two feet away from him, this man had the nerve to look to the hygienist and rudely say "It's okay, she's probably just afraid of the vibrations." OR I was feeling PAIN, as I specifically told him might still happen even after an injection?! But he eventually game me another lidocaine injection, completed my fillings and I left. I thought I would give the clinic another shot, as the receptionists and hygienists are very nice, and just ask for another dentist if I ever needed to have more fillings done. Cut to three weeks ago when I began having more pain and sensitivity in two of my teeth. I went in to get them checked, told the hygienist specifically what was wrong in terms of where the painful areas were and on what teeth, one spot on the inside of one tooth, and one spot on the outside of another, and they took a new set of X-rays to have a look. The dentist who came in and examined my teeth told me I had new cavities and would need fillings, which you would THINK they would have spotted when I was in a few months earlier for a cleaning, but I didn't go to dental school, so again I believed them. I go in to have my new fillings done with a completely DIFFERENT dentist than the one who did my initial examination, and after an excruciating half hour that included being stuck in the nerve during the initial lidocaine shot, feeling like I was going to choke on my own tongue, and being told over and over to "open wider, please" (note: the human mouth will not fit four hands in it at once) I'm done. However, once the lidocaine wore off, my teeth still hurt - one spot on the inside of one tooth, and one spot on the outside of another. Apparently, someone in that clinic decided to COMPLETELY IGNORE the very specific information I had given them about where I was feeling pain, because these new fillings were in the WRONG area entirely. They spent half an hour staring at my teeth and just missed it by a mile. The utter failure of this clinic to listen to their patient and help fix my problem after I SPECIFICALLY told them what it was, cost me time, money, pain, and anxiety, and left me the worse off, with the EXACT SAME PROBLEM that I started with. It was the last straw in my dealings with this business. I will not be going to them ever again and I urge you to steer clear as well. read more

Was really unhappy with my service here. I went in for tooth pain. They quoted me a crazy high price, and could not perform my root canal there, so they were going to refer me out to a specialist for that, AND an oral surgeon for removal of my wisdom teeth. They also had no type of payment plan. I went to another dentist and he had to redo all the X rays I got done here because they were such a low quality- he didn't charge me for this either. Plus, for 300 more then what mesa dental care quoted me my current dentist is able to provide EVERYTHING I need done, not just a crown. He also found another cavity this dentist missed. I've been seeing Dr. Nia as my dentist for over 10 years. His chair side manners are wonderful. He's so kind, gentle and he makes you feel comfortable. I know the dental chair is no ones favorite place to be but Dr. Nia does amazing dental work and I would trust him with not only myself but my family too. I've also seen Dr. Wruble who is equally great. It's nice to have a choice if you'd like a female dentist or a male dentist. Shelly, Karen and Megan are great dental hygienists.
