I also told him that my biggest insecurity was my smile but unsure why. He asks me if it is because my teeth tilt inward and I have a gummy smile. Yes! That's it, I hadn't been able to put my finger on it but gummy smile, hated it. Dr. Cefalo insures me that Invisalign is something that could correct my overbite. Not camouflage. Not help. He convinced me for two years and 3 refinement trays that Invisalign would CORRECT my overbite. I asked many questions, upon asking for my client files none of which were documented. Only that "dr answered all of pts questions". Questions that were along the lines of, would brackets be faster? Is this working? Will my molars come outward as well? (Constant mention of front 4-6 teeth being stuck on bone and they're just being stubborn). Constant ear pain finally led me to a primary care doc, which led me to an ENT. Where I found out Invisalign was never, and could never correct an overbite. When I told dr Cefalo my new treatment plan (pallet expander and two years of brackets) he acted shocked and surprised, saying he didn't imagine it would be so invasive. I also asked him if he could tell I had been grinding my teeth, said yes but nothing concerning. (Shocker, teeth grinding caused my ear pain). Dr. Davis did give me a refund when I brought my concerns to the office, which had me conflicted on what to do next. But ultimately, what Dr Cefalo did was incredibly evil and I think people should know about it. My next question I wanted to be on record Dr, are you dumb? Didn't see a jaw discrepancy and/or thought plastic could fix it? Or are you poor? You needed to scam someone who CLEARLY doesn't come from luck or money (ie hadn't been to the dentist in 10 years)?

My husband and daughter both go here as well. Unfortunately, since I have a rare tooth disease I visit the dentist more than the average person and the amount of bad experiences I've had with other dentists out weigh the good. I've tested out an embarrassing amount of dentists on both the east and west side, but this place is the only one I've never had a single bad experience. Injections are pain free and Dr. Higgs crowns are the only ones left in my mouth (the rest other dentists did and they had to be pulled). He's definitely not a "salesman" and he never tries to burn a hole in my pocket. All the procedures are necessary and he's been direct several times if I've asked for something that might not be wise. But really, the no pain is where he stands above the rest. As for the staff I'm not sure who does hiring, but they obviously have a good read on people. I've never worked with anyone there I didn't like or felt was "off" or rude. The front desk knows their billing (many offices don't) and the hygienists are some of the sweetest gals I've met in the medical field. I really can't say enough about this office and the staff, it's been an easy ride for me and I'll continue to work with them in the future.

The entire point of online booking is convenience for patients. If the office is aware of an ongoing issue but hasn't resolved it, the inconvenience falls entirely on the patient, turning what should be a simple process into a hassle. This completely defeats the purpose of online booking and made for a very poor first impression. If you need a reliable, dependable scheduling system because your time matters, you should avoid this office.

I was led to the chair, which had foot massage apparatus, which I have never seen before. Asking for a photo, I realized my camera was tucked into my front pocket. I called 96 hours in advance, but when I spoke to the front desk, I was met with rude behavior. The receptionist asked, "So, what are you going to do, pay or not?" and questioned why I couldn't make the appointment. Now, as I'm writing this review, someone from the office called me, clearly upset that I left negative feedback. She was just as rude as the front desk staff. She called me on my cell, but I couldn't answer because I was at work. Then, she proceeded to call my workplace and harass me, attempting to bribe me into taking down my reviews. When I explained that I left messages on Thursday and Friday, she said those days "don't count," and I was left frustrated by the confusing and unclear policies. It's troubling that they seem to feel it's acceptable to treat customers poorly but will go to great lengths to harass them if they leave an honest review. If I had called the day of my appointment, I would've understood a cancellation fee, but I gave plenty of notice. The way I've been treated, including being harassed at work, is completely unacceptable. Please be cautious when considering this place. Don't let poor treatment slide just because of a polished online presence.
