I have been going quite regularly to Merrimack Ten Pin. It is by far, the nicest bowling alley I have ever been to. It is always super clean and well maintained. If anything goes awry with the equipment while bowling, which doesn't happen often at all, someone is quick to fix the issue ! And the customer service is always friendly and efficient, especially from Todd and Erica. I noticed a lot of the other reviews mentioned pricing. Personally, I don't have an issue with the costs because it's all about value for the money. And compared to some other alleys in the area, it is well worth some additional cost for what you are getting in return. read more

They have been bought out by Block Party Social. They changed the pricing from per string to per hour. Monday- Friday 10-5pm it is $29 per lane per hour 5pm- 10 it is $39 per lane per hour Friday night 5- close it is $49 per lane per hour along with Saturday and Sundays. Friday nights used to be a flat rate for unlimited bowling. Occasionally on Friday afternoons (under previous owners) my husband and I could bowl 2 strings and get lunch and it would only cost around $35.00 We will not go back until there are new owners. read more

*I cannot speak to the bowling experience, but am reviewing the arcade and snack bar* The arcade games are crazy expensive! I mentioned this to the employee who had a quick response about how "it's the same price as a Dave and busters." That may be true, but most Dave and Busters have a much larger arcade, and a MUCH better ticket prize selection. I enjoy crane machine games, and almost all of them were $2.00 or more for one play!! Wild. The prizes didn't look to be great quality either. I could understand that price for a bigger, more quality prize (like one you'd actually get at Dave and busters) but nothing like that to be seen here. The snack bar is super expensive too! I understand rising prices and costs of owning a business, but the "theme park" pricing for food and games just doesn't match with the quality of offerings they have at Merrimack ten pin. It seems like they are trying to re-do or revamp their space, but rising the prices like this and not balancing that with other "improvements" doesn't seem like a good idea. I wonder how busy they get on weekends. I only saw one group bowling and they had about 8 empty coors lights so Im curious if they make their profit largely from alcohol sales I will come back to try the bowling and to give them another chance. There are plenty of lanes and they look clean and well-kept. And maybe the snack bar food is incredible!? Who knows. Front desk staff started off very rude after we asked a simple question. Food counter lady wasn't the friendliest either. The lanes are awful, don't bring your own bowling shoes since the floor (even on the lanes) is sticky. Maybe 1 out of 8 house balls has an actual number saying the weight. They charge $50 an hour for a lane, and they start the clock the second you walk away from the front counter until you get back to the front of the line of the counter to check out. That means you're paying for the time you're searching for balls (which again, aren't labeled or organized at all), and the time you're waiting in line to check out, even if you've been done bowling for 10 minutes. We paid $42 for 35 minutes of actual bowling, not including any shoe rentals which was another $18. Front desk person upon checkout tried to charge us for 2 hard iced teas (another $15 when we didn't get any food or drinks), then was rude when we told her we didn't drink anything, please take those off. When we told her how the experience was horrible all around, she just said "okay if you don't like it, don't come back". Good advice! Place just sucks in general, bad attitudes, bad lanes, bad balls, overpriced arcade area, and paying for dead time due to their incompetence. read more

Clean facility, new tech, but very strict rules. They hold your credit card as collateral for shoes (never experienced this... ever), and you cannot bring in any outside food and beverage, which is cool, but not even water. Used to like bowling here. The lanes aren't the greatest but was a good price so we were ok with that. Recently they changed to an hourly rate and we were unaware. The equipment didn't work well and kept getting stuck. It took us almost twice the time to bowl. When we paid it was almost $90 which would normally cost under $60. The new manager acted like she would help but only offered a gift card good only for arcade. She was aware of issues with the lane. We also tried to get soda. The kid behind counter wouldn't even look up at us. We waited over 20 min before manager came over. This place has really gone down hill. Our only reason for going here was that it was cheaper but not any more. I wouldn't recommend. It's quite a rip off and the new manager doesn't care. read more

We recently had my 3year olds birthday party here and I will never come back...when I originally called to make the arrangements I was told to call the day before the party (we had our party April 27th) so I planned to do so. I was also told on the phone that we would only pay for the amount of bowlers we had and that food would be served first and then we would be able to bowl. Simple enough. On April 25th I received a call from what I can assume is the manager asking for a final head count for our party. Which is something I did not have yet cause I was told to have it THE DAY BEFORE my party. I called the woman back and explained this to her, to which she responded "okay so you'll give me a call back later tonight with a final head count". She was so incredibly rude and I should have just canceled my party right there. The day of the party comes around and it was a nightmare. They told us we had to bowl first before getting food (I asked if we could switch it around since that's what we were told on the phone and they huffed and puffed about it) so we bowled first. The woman who was literally hounding me, and being super rude the entire party could only be who I assume I talked on the phone with. We were told we would get 5 pizzas and then right before they came out we were told we were now only getting 3. I'm sorry 3 pizzas isn't enough to feed 25 people so we kindly asked that a total of 5 be made. The pizza was the most awful thing I think anyone has ever eaten, my husband compared it the crushing up cheezitz and throwing it on some sauce and calling it a pizza. Also DO NOT order their gluten free pizza, it was hard and tasteless as well. Overall an awful experience and I'll spend 300+$ elsewhere next Update: i posted this review and almost immediately received a message from what I can only assume is an employee of the bowling ally, I'll insert a screenshot of the message. Love this place! Tim behind the counter was very accommodating and helpful when my friend and I wanted to play some bowling! The score is recorded for you on the screen above, there is a good selection of balls along with many lanes. There is also an arcade and food court with a great variety of drinks. My wife and I go there to play pool or bowl a few times a month and even with the covid restrictions they have been pretty relaxed. Now that masks have been lifted they lightened up some. We went in and saw the staff and some customers were wearing them but all the people at the lanes. And playing video games weren't . That's great they are a joke anyway. However we walked In without them I had one in my pocket if needed but my wife didnt have one , a woman with an attitude problem that worked there said we needed to have one at the desk, so I was putting mine on and my wife asked for one , the woman says they are a dollar each . This is nonsense there is no state mandate. If you have a rule in your establishment that says you need one to stand at the desk and you dont need it anywhere else you should provide it to the customers who dont have one . Without trying to screw them for an extra dollar. I can afford a dollar, its principal, We turned around and left , we will find another place that has tables and a more friendly staff. The best thing about this place is they are one of the few alleys in the area with traditional bowling. It's also clean and has a decent arcade with pool and air hockey. But there's a woman who works there who really likes to enforce the rules. There are even little signs posted everywhere. I went with my family and she interuppted our game more than once to enforce silly little rules. At one point she even just yelled across the entire building at me from the counter because I was apparently wearing bowling shoes in a restricted zone. The location is nice, but it's tough to relax when you're being yelled at. If you have a bunch of kids and want to keep them in line, this may work to your advantage. But if you're looking to have a casual, relaxed game of bowling, I'd look for somewhere more casual like 1930s Germany. read more

We had our girls' birthday party here and it was a huge success. The staff was very attentive and flexible. The party table was all set up and each child had a balloon tied to their chair, which was very cute. I added arcade coins at the last second and they made a bunch of fun gift bags with coins for each child. The kids LOVED bowling and playing in the arcade. There were about 20 kids and their parents and the staff kept checking in with me to see if we needed anything which was great. All of the parents were really impressed with how smooth everything went and how much fun the kids were having. I'm very glad we had our girls' joint birthday party here and definitely recommend it! read more

I took my sons on 4/17 and was very impressed with their Covid protocols. I felt they kept an open lane between groups of bowlers to help with social distancing. However that might change if they get busy, but I'm assuming that. You're required to wear a mask when moving around the facility, but masks are not required when you're at your lane. When a lane finishes they sanitize everything on that lane chairs, table, computer, and ball return. They sanitize the house balls, including the finger holes before returning them to the racks. Great place to go bowling... if you enjoy the constant harassment of some employees! After going bowling several times to this alley, and reading the other reviews posted here, I can confirm that the grumpy woman at the front desk is the same in all the reviews. However, it isn't only one employee that makes this location enjoyable. While bowling here with my friends, I witnessed a little boy accidentally drop his bowling ball. He thereafter was subjected to a minute long rant by another employee, threatening that he and his family would have to leave if their "disruptive behavior continued". This brought the boy to tears, who I would guess was no more than 7, and then the employee simply walked away, presumably back to the depths of hell from whence they came. The bowling area itself functions properly for the most part. However, once every 3 games or so, the pin sweeper will not work, and you will be left bowling at however many pins the person before you did not knock down. Although this can be rather humorous, it does not create a competitive bowling environment. It's surprising this has not yet been fixed, as the bowling alley is home to several tournaments each week. My final lament is the food. Obviously, locations such as this must scale up their food prices to make profit, but I believe that 5 small chicken nuggets for the price of $9 is overstepping the line between "overpriced" and "outrageous". Furthermore, their sodas have no refills, and a hot dog is $4. Customers are not allowed to bring their own food or drink, including WATER. In conclusion, visit the Merrimack Ten Pin Center at your own risk, however, I would greatly advise against it. read more

TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT After waiting close to an hour to bowl we finally started and the power went out. Yes that sucks and os uncontrollable but when we went to leave I was informed that I would have to pay 50 cents per frame and for shoes. It clearly says $5 per game but no wear does it say 50 cents per frame. I did have two beers so I have no problem paying for that. However it is ridiculous to charge me for minimal bowling. I asked if I paid for the frames I played if I could come back the next day and bowl one game for free and was told no. This place is run by a horrible manager who is very rude and arrogant. She could have made more money by giving me a free game as I would most likely play more than just that free game. She wouldnt know customer service if it hit her square in the face. Also they took my phone number and card number down(they already had my card to hold the tab) so that they could charge me the next day. I told the manager I would dispute all the bowling charges but pay for the beer and she said "There is always a jerk in the crowd" in front of multiple people. She is the epitome of a bad manager and it amazes me she hasnt been relieved of duty based on the other reviews I have read.
