I love how this place hasn't changed since I was a kid. Every other arcade uses cards to reload, but nothing beats having a cup of tokens and a full bag of tickets to redeem. Fun World is pure nostalgic FUN. Don't come here with the highest expectations thinking you're going to a Dave and Busters or any other modern day arcade. They still use tickets rather than digital points on a card. Still use tokens too. Bring some cash in to skip the main office line. The building definitely needs some love cosmetic wise. When you step in, it's a throwback for sure. But the kids and families overall seem to all enjoy during their visit. We definitely did. It's a great visit while it's cold out. This place is basically an indoor carnival filled with old school (and new) arcade games, huge indoor playground ($12 per kid), two-story carousel, indoor roller coaster, and another moderate speed spinning ride called the Himalaya. Based on other folks photos I spotted a Ferris wheel within the playground. Not sure if it's still there or functional though. Great toddler area where they have a bunch of games and coin-op rides. Some were super throwback. A few candle pin bowling lanes that's coin op too. Supposedly there's a Ferris wheel indoor too.. Good amount of parking--although it's a little rough shape so leave your Ferrari at home. Bring the mini van. They have hand sanitizer all around so keep the germs down. Used to spend Friday nights here with my friends when I was younger. Stopped in with our nephew who loved it. The adults - not so much. It used to be heavily focused on video games (like a FunSpot in southern NH) with some ticket machines. Now it's more ticket machines than video games. Third floor used to be all pinball, now there are a handful of machines. There was a big theater style game in the 90s, I think it was Project Dragoon, that was covered with a tarp and obviously not working. Doesn't feel clean inside; the place smells old. The parking lot seems to be crumbling away. It could really use some updates. If you've got kids who enjoy playing ticket games for prizes this could be fun. We did have a fun time with our 4 year old granddaughter, but everything is a la carte, including the play space. This can really add up! Some of the games weren't working so we lost a few tokens. Let me start by saying - this place is *warm*. I imagine it would be like a sauna in the summer time. I travel for work, and on the way back home, if I know pinball is on location, I stop and play. Sadly, the pinball in here is in rough shape, minus the newer AC/DC and Jersey Jack Games. Austin Powers, Monopoly (VUKs) and the other Stern games desperately need service (various.) Fun World is a gem along the Daniel Webster Highway in South Nashua; a throwback to a simpler time, but with a 21st Century twist. Sure, it's rough around the edges, and the overgrown, decommissioned go kart track is a tad ominous, but inside is a first rate facility; with an emphasis on ticket-yielding games and prize redemption. The key to maximizing ticket earnings at FW is to find the games that are skill based and offer the highest jackpot payouts. And then determining if it's a skill you can master at a reasonable cost--for instance, the basketball shooting game with the moving hoop is really difficult for a novice; and even for a master, the payouts are low--just 50 tickets for a perfect score. But the ball drop game adjacent to the cafe area, for the same 4 tokens a whack, can more easily be mastered with a jackpot payout of 500 tickets. The best strategy, we've found, is to post up in the cafe seating area by the south facing windows, and act as a "bank"; keep the kids out on the floor earning, while managing their tickets and meting out the tokens from a central command position with good sight lines to the key games, as well as the exit and escalator. If one kid has a high burn rate, slow him or her down with some pizza or soda, or even enlist them to help you fold and organize their earnings--this will motivate them to get back out on the floor after a token re-up. There's a terrific variety of games, a roller coaster upstairs, good payouts all around, a friendly staff and quality food. The prizes in the redemption center are varied, with reasonable ticket prices. There are even homeware items like blenders and irons for the more adult players! All in all, Fun World is a blast AND a great way for kids, aged 2-24, to learn about the basics of earning, budgeting and spending in our modern economy. I didn't know what to expect when I walked into this castle! When I did, WOW! There were rollercoasters, hundreds of arcade games, and a lot more! I highly recommend it for kids of all ages! I was a huge FunWorld fan. I was. But lately it is a filthy, moldy, mess. I'm not going to focus on the broken games and subpar customer service. Although those issues are quite prevalent. I'm simply going to describe what I am seeing and smelling at the indoor playground. The playground is immense. And it looks like fun. My kids loved it. But the humidity is insane in here. As such, there is a mold problem in the padding and on the fabric surfaces. It smells like the Men's locker room at the YMCA combined with the wet boots of a large construction worker. The ceiling panels are falling down. There is duct tape holding some of it up, but that just lends to the unclean, under maintained atmosphere. The staff doesn't seem to care about who has paid to use the playground and whether or not they are wearing socks (a posted requirement)and, in some cases, whether or not they are wearing shirts or pants. Because there is next to no monitoring of the playground area, anyone can sneak in and throw a toddler - wearing nothing but a soiled diaper and a smile - into the ball pit and slink away. Which brings me to my final concern. This playground is not a nanny. It's not a babysitter. Children are not to be left unattended (a posted requirement). With that being said, there are at least 25 kids using the playground and there is one adult in the supervision area; me. Again, kids love this place. But then again, kids eat their boogers. EDIT: there are now 5 adults and 40 kids. At least some adults have a sense of responsibility. read more

The rides are awesome, the people are wonderful, games are fun and the machines work! It is a great destination from anywhere in New England. For it to be worthwhile spend a day there! And then... my wife had her wallet stolen. You must hold on to your stuff and watch it very closely. I love this place, but want to feel safe and I don't here, especially with my kids around. Been coming to Fun World for over 22 years, On the first level there are redemption games where you can win skee ball tickets such as skee ball, big truck, bat man, tower power, fishing game, football, basket ball, wheel of fortune, deal or no deal, freeze, and many other great ticket games. Next, there is a prize counter to cash in tickets for great prizes, a snack bar, and 5-7 token machines, and if you put a twenty dollar bill in the machine, you get $27.00's worth of game room tokens, not a bad deal. Second floor is the arcade game room, excellent games such as Alien's, Terminator, Maximum Tune 2 and 3, Fast & Furious, Transformers, Time Crises 4, Ghost squad, and old school Cenepeed and MS. Pac Man. There is also a Merry go round, indoor rollercoaster and Himalaya as well on this floor. Third floor, there are 2 air hockey tables, pinball games such as Iron Man, AC DC, X-men, Transformers, Wizard of OZ. There is a six player Galaxian game, three dance games, and sports games as well. Last, Fun world should think about re-opening the Go-kart track. I miss the days back in the late 90's rising on the Go-karts on the maze track, it was so much fun. 3,648 - That how many tickets my son won. Not 2,000. Horrible visit today. I have to say, I've been bringing my son to this place for about 8 years. It's not the best place around and it's pretty dirty and old, but it was good enough for a place to kill a couple of hours. I think everyone knows how smelly and gross the place is, but for the most part, you look past it and go anyway. On average, I spend about $60 on a visit. Today was the same. The thing that was different today was I was disgusted , not by the outdated decor, but by a worker. My son and I went over to the ticket table to add up his winnings. We grabbed a prize slip to fill out his choices for prizes and when we were done, we went to the prize booth, just luck all the other time we did in 8 years. This time however, when she asked me for the ticket receipts, I suddenly realized I had left them on the ticket table. Obviously they were going to be gone when I went to retrieve them, and in fact they were gone. Someone found them. I put no blame on anyone but me for leaving the receipts behind. That's on me. What came next though is the problem I have. The woman manager in charge(who admitted to me that her family actually owns the place), did not care. She said I could wait around if I wanted to and see if someone turned them in, but otherwise she said she would give us 2000 tickets, but that's it and no money back offered. I showed her my $60 in receipts that she actually processed with me earlier. Didn't care. She said that me losing those ticket receipts was like me leaving $20 on the table and asking her to give it back to me. I'm sorry, but that's completely unreasonable. I explained to her it's not the money or the tickets, it's her attitude. When you own a business, with repeat customers, (I explained to her I had been coming there for 8 years and had spent hundreds of dollars in that place), you keep them happy. These people at "Fun world", don't't give a crap about keeping people happy. I always looked the other way when you feel like you are bothering them when a machine is broken down or out of tickets. It's horrible. This takes the cake. I asked her how she was going to do that to my son for the sake of 5 or 6 shitty toys that probably cost them $1 a piece. Sickening. Worse is that it's a member of the family that owns it. I don't know her name, it's the old lady with the bob hair cut, but when I said to her if she didn't remedy the situation, on good faith, that I was never coming back. She just continued filling the change machine with tokens and said, "OK", as if to imply she did not give a shit. The bearded guy that works there was standing right there and heard it all too. He's probably an owner too, but he's actually always been very nice. He's the only one. So, just saying, he can verify this story and to the "my family owns the place" woman that doesn't care about my business, I hope your family fires you because you are not representing them in a good light. Shame on you. I hope you find those slips when someone hands them in and feel like crap knowing my son left empty handed. Never going back. read more

But sadly since the owner Haig passed away it appears the family hasn't put much $ back into Funworld and many games are outdated and it's badly in need of renovation & upgrade in games. Oh FunWorld, where did you go? When we are kids, any playground seems like a land of pure joy. Once grown up, we get to watch our kids enjoy that same land of pure enjoyment. Unfortunately, it didn't quite seem to be that way for me. I was saddened by some conditions and worried about safety in some locations throughout the building. I do absolutely have to mention, the employees were absolutely wonderful that we dealt with. However, there should have been more employees working. We had to wait to be served a drink, and the same person who served our drink was later found supervising the playground. It seemed as if employees were just running from place to place fixing machines and running rides, then off to fix another game or off to help a customer. KUDOS to those hard working employees. When we walked in, we were automatically hit with this very strong odor of mold and mildew. It is clear they have had some serious water damage issues through out all the floors in the building. But, on the bright side, the AC did appear to be on, so it could have been worse I suppose. We first played some games with tokens and then made our way to the front counter to buy a playground pass. Wow, I remember when I was a kid I LOVED the playground. It hasn't changed a BIT. I am not sure if that's a good thing or not. The very big / long slides in the corner look they are still rocking dust from the year 2000. The ball pit was hardly filled with balls. The bouncy area had exercising balls underneath because the bounce had "lost" its bounce without them. There were a few areas of concern that look like they need further repair. Some locations in the playground have been "fixed" or "patched up. But it looks like their way of fixing it an moving on. They DID have a very cool activity mat on the third level that my daughter and I were able to run around on. But wait, what's that? The Ferris Wheel everyone loved as a kid? It is hidden behind a "toddler playroom" with quilts over the windows and empty pizza boxes to block out the view of the once very awesome ride CLEARLY has been retired for some time. SUCH a shame! What HAPPENED? Those pizza boxes have to go. It looks dirty when you try to hide a Ferris wheel with pizza boxes and quilts. The quilts ARE beautiful but maybe at least paint the windows with cartoons or upcoming events? Something that looks more professional would be better. I think the playground in general is fun for the kids and the price 6.00 is well worth it. However, even though it would be costly to do the whole thing over, It would be worth spending the money to have it revamped for a more 2015 look. I bet people would even pay more knowing their kids are playing in something up to date and safer. Then we went downstairs. That was when I noticed they were having a party in the back. It appeared a staff member that was handling food did not have gloves on while preparing food for them. I also noticed a chemical bottle on the counter with HAND WRITING on it "PINK" Aka, Sanitizer. Huge no no to have chemical bottles sitting on surfaces where food is being served. Not too far away, I saw the employee's drink cup, also on the counter. That worried me to know someone was drinking where food is being served. We went on to check out the prizes, and checked out the bowling. We wanted to play, but others were waiting. So we decided to look around a little bit. This room has games designed for older kids and adults. Our daughter was too young to play any of these, so just a simple walk through was all we did. The floor seemed squishy in some spots. I remember the walls being painted with fun cartoon murals. Now they have been painted over with a plain sky blue paint. I am assuming they must have had significant water damage in this room. I can't imagine the cost it must be to fix water damage of a building so big, but my goodness there must be some sort of insurance for these kinds of things. My suggestion would be to just close for a couple of months and completely revamp the building (Inside and out). Not just replace a few water pipes, and paint over things. (I am not sure what has actually been replaced /in/ the building), but just the smell of mildew is so overpowering. There must be something more that can be done? Many ceiling tiles were badly damaged from water. Some ceiling tiles were covered with tape and or stained back to white. But, it is very noticeable of the quick fixes. (I DID see two large dumpsters outside so it appears they ARE getting rid of some things) I would not mind paying more if I walked into an all new place! I am sure many people would feel the same way! I would really like to come back. I hope if the owner does read this, would welcome me back. My review is as honest as I could possibly be without trying to be harsh. These are my true concerns though. Best wishes to Fun World. I remember coming to Fun World when I was 7, playing games like Cruisin USA and Mortal Kombat. Ahhh those were the days. Flash forward 20 years later. I happen to go back to Funworld. And what games are there? Cruisin USA. Mortal Kombat. The moral of the story: UPDATE SOME MACHINES. This place is the Nick at Nite of arcades. Nobody plays pinball anymore. My daughter has LOVED this place since first going here at like age 2 or 3, and still does at age 9. It has a lot to do and is reasonably priced. There are some things that need to be repaired and some games in really bad shape, but that doesn't bother her. The staff is very friendly and helpful. read more

Are you ready for an entire WORLD of FUN? This place... man, it looks sad from the outside. I remember when they actually BUILT the damn thing so many years ago. But when they finally did, and my brother my sister and I all went for the first time? It was pure joy. Does anyone else remember those scary animotronic gorillas that could sing AND dance? Crazy. The place is still the go to spot for a first graders birthday party, but since Scott B. had never been to Nashua before, I hyped this place as a lot more fun than it probably is. We both had a good time - we used the one surviving ski ball machine, played a NEW whack-a-mole Batman themed game, and did a little Dance Dance Revolution. No more Mortal Kombat ANYWHERE as well as the original X-Men arcade game, which they had pretty much forever. If they had kept those things? It would have been the best time in the world. This place also sports an impressive indoor rollercoaster and carosale that I was too old to ride by the time they built them. It's worth the trip just to see the graveyard of forgotten go-carts out back. read more

The building is old and run down looking but the kids loved it.. The indoor rides (rollercoaster, carousel and The Himalaya) cost extra but you can buy armbands. Some games cost more then 1 token but for $20 you get 108 tokens. The kids got 2500 tickets and this place has really great things to buy with tickets. It was an overall good experience. read more

Games are Excellent, the old one's brings back memories like 1945 airplane game. But its not the games that is on my mind right now, its the kitchen thats in the open that concerns me. (Quentin Tarantino voice) 1. Girl on the register touching pennies, nickels and dimes and money then goes back and puts pepperoni and cheese on the pizza. 2. Now the one that is in the cash register goes back and on a continuous loop and adds toppings on the pizza ( Wearing no hair net or gloves) none of them wear hair nets nor gloves. 3. That is pretty disgusting, someone should call the " Health board" or Fox25 news. I felt like recording it on my phone and uploading it online but I didn't. There are tons of bacteria in the air, in our hands , tables , counters and probably more bacteria on currency. Note: 2-3 years ago, i witnessed the same thing. SO this has been going on for probably since they open. Someone needs to address this issue!!! I had told the girl without the hair net, in a polite manner without anyone hearing me. That they do not wear gloves, and that i witnessed those atrocities. This is a very cool place. A smaller scale and not as classy/sparkly as Dave and Busters but it's great fun for the little kids. There's a lot of things to do including a couple of rides on the top floor. There's a carousel that's to the side that's all decked out. There's also an eating area that serves softserve. Too bad they were out of chocolate when I was there. The girl who made the soft serve clearly didn't know how to make the cones because it was just a blob and no swirl. It's ice cream so i would still eat it and didn't make a big deal of it. Because it rained so hard out and we were not prepared for all that rain, we decided to stay an hour or so longer than we anticipated. read more

A good time for the kids although I couldn't help but notice how old the building is becoming, things are really in need of renovation and a lot of rides will take your tokens with no out of order sign.
