I came here for a birthday today, haven't been in probably 3 years. This place is filthy!!! And I have pretty good intuition and I don't see if running for much longer as sad as that seems.
The birthday aspect itself, seemed very good. The waitress was very good, very nice, very attentive. Pizza looked pretty good too (but then again I'm on a diet, so anything of that nature is going to look good.) There seems to be alot of rooms for birthdays, but as I looked around I questioned about 2 or 3 times weather they really get that much business. (There was about 6 birthday rooms).
As far as the smell goes....everyone is right it smells right upon walking in, and it travels through the whole place. It most certainly is mold.
The man at the front, was rude. And as I recall he's been there many years and always has been rude. I was told I needed to get a stamp for my daughter by the party host and he huffed and puffed and looked at me like I had six heads upon asking. I later saw him walking down the stairs. His look on his face seemed like he could careless about kids, or his job, or the place in general. No smile. Nothing. Just a strut with a mopey face reading I hate this place attitude.
I had no issues with the games as many others did in previous reveiws. I will say I also didn't explore much further than the little kids ride section. I will state I was shockingly impressed they all seemed to work.
We rode some of the rides upstairs. The carousel and the Himalaya. I was a bit disappointed that the host had to pay for the 2nd ride. She thought they could ride them all they want, and personally for how much I am sure they paid I don't see why they could have. But to give you my general thought this place is so worn down I imagine every penny of what we pay goes into the electricity to run them. The Himalaya could have done without the strobes.
The playground MY BIGGEST CONCERN. And when I meen BIG I mean HUGE. are there people comeing in to check if this place is up to safety regulations? If not someone should be contacted. Where do I begin. First off....this is not for small children. I have a 3 and half year old and she could not climb most of the stuff. On top of that it's confuseing, and at times I got paranoid because my child would fall out of site. I don't like how if you slide down to the first floor you have to climb all they way up a 3 floor tunnel. And there was no way out or back up from the first floor. I prayed a few times my daughter wouldn't find the slide and go down it cause I would have had to crawl in and get a very distraught 3 year old out of a 3 floored tunnel. But the whole thing is just confuseing. And dark. One of the slides was pretty much a drop. I refused to let my child slide. The ropes and nets are disgusting and I would not be one bit surprised if the play area doesn't ever get cleaned. The ball pit had broken balls everywhere. And the horror storys of needles being in ball pits from when I was young well, I felt like that was going to happen here with how gross the feel of this playground was. Besides that I noticed plexiglass glass cracked, some ducktaped, I noticed where there was metal pieces holding things together some were not capped. It honestly is the whole reason I'm writeing this reveiw, the play area grossed me out more than anything. Best words of advice....AVOID this at all costs. Don't bring ur kids to the play area. And certainly NEVER leave them unattended if you do!
Overall, this place HAD and can still have great potential if time, effort, and maybe a bit if remodeling is put into it.
Will I return again? Most likely not. Unless it gets fixed up, but something tells me this place is unfortunately going under. read more
