We played candlepin, which was a lot of fun. Our fun was short lived when we were done bowling. It costs $30 an hour for candlepin. After bowling for an hour, we went to the counter to check out. (You can't "stop the clock" yourself at the lane). There are separate counters for the bowling area and arcade area. There was only 1 girl working both counters. I actually didn't see anyone else working in the whole place. That said, we waited approximately 15 minutes for the girl to finish waiting on a family at the arcade counter before coming over to the bowling counter to check us out. We were charged $38.50; $30 for bowling and $8.50 to stand around waiting to cash out!

We kicked off the new year at Wamesit for my husband's birthday. Overall it was ok. Not the best…read morebut not the worst. Our waitress wasn't the greatest. I had ordered the Alpha Dog which comes with fries AND a side Caesar salad, instead they subbed the fries for the salad. With the exception of the fish and chips everything was good. Unfortunately my husband hated the fish and chips. It was too greasy and heavy. He barely touched it and our waitress didn't even notice. The game section of Wamesit was pretty disappointing. More than half the games were out of order. However the bowling was awesome. We did find the bathrooms to be rather messy and in need of cleaning up. We will probably give them a second chance but we hope they make some improvements.
