There aren't many…read morereasons to pay $40 per person for a seat in Row M of Section 102 for Single A baseball, but I did find one. I'm a huge fan of The Office and the Spinners were advertising an Office Trivia Night featuring an appearance by Leslie David Baker who played Stanley on the show. There was also a BBQ buffet included in the price. The BBQ was ok, not bad for a baseball game, but nothing to write home about. Burgers, dogs (with no grill marks), ribs, pulled pork and pulled chicken, corn on the cob, beans, but no corn bread. The trivia was fun too, some nice and easy questions and some real difficult ones. We didn't finish in the top 3, but we still had a good time. The promotions department really dropped the ball on the appearance by Stanley. He was there, but not for the trivia. He was up on the concourse and you needed a special ticket to see him, the $40 Office Trivia ticket wasn't good enough. No one from the trivia company or the Spinners mentioned this. By the time we realized this the Spinners were sold out (those were the words the employee who turned us away from the line used). It seems the Spinners are desperate for people to come that they have no problem misleading people into paying $40 for a single a baseball game. There was no value there on this particular night. Save yourself and check out the Portland Sea Dogs or Pawtucket Red Sox for the same or lower cost and a higher level of baseball.

New owner at this track‼…read more Many improvements. They have a new and functional public announcing (loudspeaker) system. They have painted the seating. New concession provider. It is a very pleasant place to visit now. I think the previous owners didn't want to invest in making this a successful track. The new owner DOES want to succeed and it is very obvious with all the effort they have put into this facility. Not a five star rating yet, because their web page is still directly associated with the previous owner. They need to end that association and establish their very own website, with an appropriate URL name and more accurately reflect their new commitment and personality to this facility. Happy to see the changes and enjoy the races much more now.

Bad news - it's a shitty hang. It's basically a catering room. No bar action at all. Speaking of the bar, good luck getting a bartender to pay attention to you. I saw one women stand in line for a drink for a half an hour....and she was 2nd in line! So, if you want to overpay to see your favorite band and you can scare up 5 of your best friends to reserve a table, you're good. Not sure if you have to buy food if you reserve a table. This is a great event drawing people in even from out of state. Tried and like a mix of different rices, beans and coconut cooked inside a piece of bamboo. There is parking across the street in a muddy lot (only drawback) and ample restrooms with no lines. The view of the river is nice. Various organizations have tables set up and give out swag. Come early if you don't like crowds, which grow over the course of the day. It's great to experience another culture in a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.

There are now vendors all the way down to the boat house. That's over a half mile of vendors. They actually DO sell Asian food now! There are vendors with clothes, jewelry, CDs, grocery-type items and much more. It was fun to watch the boat races. I'm glad they improved it. It's another great thing about Lowell. Get there early. It was crawling with people today. There was no parking in a mile radius. Even Sheehy Park's parking lot, across the river, was full.

Everyone had such a wonderful time, and it honestly exceeded all of our expectations. The staff was incredibly kind, helpful, and attentive. You could tell a lot of care went into every detail to make the day feel so special. I'm so grateful for how memorable they made the day for us. Soo off we went & got there much faster than anticipated (35 mins at 3pm from Everett)... Plenty of parking all around but we lucked out right in front of the Ice Cream... We started off at the Arcade, it was nice - there were several games Not a ton of Big ADULT games perse, but there was more than enough to spend an hour or so. We then walked up to the Bumper Boats, there was NO ONE there so we had to wait on that. It was really hot so we didnt want to golf. Walked down got some dinner, Burger - Hot Dog & Water $21... But it was really good water! LOL, No really the burger was good &Hot Dog was GINORMOUS. They all come with Chips, Cole Slaw or Potato Salad & A GIANT slice of Watermelon. We then walked over for some Ice Cream which like all the other reviews state, IS HUGE.. The Kiddie is serious big enough for 2 adults. and then the cup size doesnt change as you go up the Scoops do, so Imagine HUGE scoops in a tiny cup on a 95' day, YEAH just like that, Dripping everywhere!!! The hall is still nice, the food great and the floor staff is still lovely. However, they push the pull tab games so hard that it creates chaos, playing 2 different ones during every game. 2 prominent callers seem to have serious cases of attention deficit disorder, frequently talking over floor staff and sometimes interrupting themselves. Tonight, they paused the game to read door prizes and while listing the colors and numbers, said "I twenty", then kept reading the entrance tickets. Mumbles of "wait, I thought they paused the game" and general confusion ensued. 30 minutes later, they had to read them again as 5 out of 7 called never heard their number. This happens a lot. I'm young-ish with perfect hearing and I struggle to figure out what games they are playing. I can't imagine how many times people have lost a legitimate win because they didn't know what was going on. The intermission is 10min long, but they keep right on playing the pull tabs. No matter how much you've spent, if you have to pee, too bad, you missed it. It's not a break if you keep going. The proof of the decline is in the pudding as the hall was only half full this week, so the game prizes were lower than usual. Please do better as that was our 4th time where we spent a lot but didn't have fun. Looking at other halls for our next outing.
