So Jessica the bartender is the absolute best part of here. Apparently if you walk away from the table with your chips they depreciate in value. No one in there can count. This place doesn't have pool tables. When I asked the security desk about them they said it's been ages since there were pool tables there, and they advised me to try Maximillians. That being said, we did stick around for dinner and some gaming. The bar was fine but the food wasn't very good (think college cafeteria-quality food). The games all seem pretty new though, and they had live dealers at the roulette tables. I think they just added more seats for that game, too. read more

Boston Billiard is one of the very few places open late in southern New Hampshire, besides certain bars. This pool hall plus casino offers sports on TVs, private rooms for parties, full bar plus servers, food menu, ample space for big groups, arcade games, and juke box loaded with all kinds of tunes. A little something for everyone. People with allergies have a bit of a tricky time ordering from the food menu. My gluten-free party ordered the nachos, which was pretty much our only option. They satisfied our late night snack cravings enough. Thankfully, Angry Orchard cider is available. I've always found staff to be friendly enough and the service to be fast enough. I went with some friends today to Gate City Casino in Nashua. They switched out their machines. The ones that were there you could occasionly win off them. Practically every machine there is like the fish bowl game where you have to make a fish grow big in hopes that they will burst, but with different concepts. There was a cloud game where where the clouds would grow big, or you are filling coins into a chest to make them the chest grow larger. There was a tiger and lion game same concept. If you are playing one of these games for .75 cents you might get maybe 10 or 20 cents off a play. Just when you think something is going to burst or your chest will fill enough to give you free spins. It doesn't happen, so you are constantly feeding the machines with money. When and if you do get a bonus, you are lucky if you get maybe $40.00 off the $200.00 that you put into one of those machines. I won't go there again. My friends who have been going to that casino since they first opened and who has won money off the old machines experienced the same things from these new machines, basically you will waste a lot of money just trying to get a small bonus or free spins. I attended a Ladies International Poker Series tournament this past Sunday and was very impressed with the facility. It is well lit, clean, and has very comfortable seating at the tables. There are row after row after... of attractive gaming terminals (what we old timers would call "slot" machines) that feature many different games to play. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The dealers and floor people did an excellent job of keeping things moving smoothly and comfortably. I didn't eat, but the food I saw looked delicious. :) I'm going to be sure to sample it on my next visit. :) One thing that they do differently than most casinos is that they check your picture ID (driver license or state ID) at the door. They will not allow you to enter if it is expired, or if you don't have it with you. So make sure to bring it along. :) That ID requirement might cause some hesitation for any transgender or non-binary people who have yet to get ID with their chosen name on it. They are however very LGBT friendly, as are most places in this part of the world. :) If you live in or are visiting the area, or just want to take a drive and try a new place you won't regret your visit to Gate City Casino. read more

This is my second review of this place. In my first review I said I wouldn't waste any more money there, but I gave them another chance and the payouts have gotten worse than when I reviewed them in 2023. Example, won $1200 left and put it away for future trips to Gate City. In 2 trips all was played back because the payouts are even lower than before. Obviously my own fault but i am a hopeful slot player. The Nash Casino is opening in February and whichever casino pays out with a higher percentage is going to get the business. On Sunday December 1, 2024 my wife and two other family members went to your casino, when I entered I had my id ready, I was not greeted by a friendly employee at the front desk. He was probably a man in his 40, S no name tag showing, he never said hello, he scanned my license, as I walked into the casino, he yelled " hey" I turned and said what is the problem, he said " can't you read" no beverages allowed, I said sorry, as I had a bottle of water in my back pocket, he staried me down with hate in his eyes just looking for a problem. I explained that I was sorry and I have been coming here for a couple of months a d never had any problems like this! I threw the water into the trash as he continues to stare me down! I m a respectful 70 year old retired Police Office, I have been to a lot of casinos and NEVER been treated like this! I would hope you would see who this belligerent employee was that you employ on that day! After episode, my wife and I are not coming back thanks to that bad man! First time here, and I seldom give out 5 star reviews on a first visit, so 4 stars it is! Tables were nice. They lacked cup holders built in, but did have USB ports. At first , the server came around constantly, but as tables filled up throughout the room she became more scarce. Maybe add a server during a busy Sunday? Right now, in terms of breaks, the first man up gets 30 min for a food break. I think 2ND man gets 10 min which is more of a bathroom break. Better than Foxwoods! Also, there's no plexiglass dividers, which is also better than Foxwoods. Only downside is that play is limited to six people during pandemic. Dealers did a good job, though one dealer randomly slammed Joe Biden for tripping up the Air Force one stairs. To me this signaled he was a Trump supporter which made him hard to like. No political statements at the table, dude! I had the Cubano sandwich for lunch and it was tasty. Multiple people suggested I avoid the pizza. I was on my way back from skiing at Attitash which is why I hit up BB for the first time. It's about 80 min from my house in Fall River, MA , or 15 min further than Foxwoods. I ordered the pretzels app, and mozzarella app to start. Both were fantastic. After that I ordered the steak tips wich were also fantastic. I was pleasantly surprised by the food at this casino.The table game staff were all enjoyable to be around , and did a great job making it a fun experience. The food is decent but small portions. Poker players beware|. They only care about their regulars. The dealers flip cards on non regulars. The dealers don't properly shuffle the decks. They reuse damaged cards. When employees play they don't get their cards flipped. The shuffle is Not done correctly. Some dealers ok but the high hands are rigged they manipulate the deck. read more

Went here to play the slot machines last night and today. Machines are surprisingly good! Much better payouts than the "Lucky Moose" casino a couple of exits north. I'd give BBC&C five stars if it weren't for their staff. Neither the bartenders nor the servers walking the floor were very friendly. And that's a shame. I used to work there years and years ago, and I made $400-$500 per night in tips alone because I was friendly and I hustled. My wife and I, last Tuesday, April 30, 2024, attended the" VIP EXCLUSIVE EVENT" it was held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. It was great, we got a beautiful windbreaker; the food was delicious and had a wide variety of food, the beverages whatever you wanted, the service was excellent. For a tiny casino, it's really great what they offer to their members. To tell you the truth since I discovered Gate City Casino in Nashua, I have not gone to my other two casinos: Encore in Everett, MA and MGM in Springfield. MA, I know that Gate City Casino does not have Video Poker Machines, which is my favorite game, and the Gaming Machines are not really Slot Machines they are all called HHR (Historic Horse Racing) and they do not use an RNG (Random Number Generator) that regular class 3 Slot Machines use. After having such a good time, the icing on the cake was when we had a chance to meet Jesicca our VIP host, she is very helpful, knowledgeable, professional, kind, and happy person. We are looking forward to seeing her again soon. Bottom line, I recommend Gate City Casino, it is small, but it is clean, smoke free, the food is great, secure and they have different games. The staff is very friendly starting with security at the entrance to the front desk where Wayne works are amazing. So, try it out you won't regret it. read more

Place is solid. I have only played poker here and visited the bar but I couldn't be happier about it. Friendly staff, one of the servers came up to me and complimented me on my shirt, which was an "the outsiders Museum" shirt I had on, which I got as a gift for being a donor to the restoration of the project. It was nice that he took the time to compliment me, that's lost a lot these days. Poker dealers are good, not as good as encore and the room isn't as nice as Encore, but at least this place has poker, Encore still doesn't. Drinks were good, bartender was friendly and I even got to sip my drink without my mask on. I was reminded in the poker room that my mask needed to be on. What happened to live free or die 603'ers? I kid I kid... I have no problem with it, just be nice and not nazi's about it like some places are.... Check it out, at least until Encore opens. I won a $200 high hand promotion at poker but could only collect if I provided my social security number. I was told this was a new policy. I asked to see the policy, asked where it was posted and was not provided the policy. I asked for the privacy policy describing how my personal information would be secured. Was told it did not exist. I offered to have taxes withheld from the $200 then - no go. Employees were not at all prepared to explain this policy. I spoke with all management on site and was not able to make progress - was told "this was the policy." Review of NH laws and regulations do not show the need for a player to provide a social security number for a $200 winning. No other card room in NH required this for such a small winning. Emails to Director of Casino Operations not returned. Its clear that poker (and poker players) is not a priority, slots are. read more

Finally got around to trying this local casino which was renovated and reopened under new management as the Gate City Casino last October after its long stint as the Boston Billiards Club. It is a decent sized place with plenty of slots (over 500) and a number of table games and electronic craps which were previously unavailable. The slots parlor was relatively quiet for an early Tuesday afternoon but the poker room was quite busy with a lot of full tables. The ambiance was NH chic. The Encore, Everett it is NOT but it was clean and the help was friendly and it was decidedly less expensive. One thing I enjoyed is that it was not crazy loud even in the slots parlor. The din in so many casinos makes your ears ring after awhile but this was not like that. My reason for going is that I enjoy craps and they now offer a hybrid electronic version of the game. I've played bubble craps before but this version was a little odd as you place your bets electronically but then the roll is made by a human. You have to get up from your station and go to the head of the table when it is your roll while your electronic screen is mirrored to a screen next to a shooter so you can place your bets while you're shooting. The table itself is smaller than regulation (about 2/3 size) and is run by only one stick guy as all the payouts are calculated automatically by the computer after the stick guy punches the roll in. But for the most part, it was craps and you could bet as you normally would. Table minimum was $5 with a $1000 max (I think). Max odds was only 2x which is a little low but probably about average for electronic or bubble craps. I believe there were 8 stations so during busy periods (weekends and weekend nights) I would think you might have to wait to play. I had lunch and the food menu had a decent selection with reasonable prices. I wasn't that hungry so I just went for a hot dog and onion rings with a beer. The food was ok but grilling a dog is not the most challenging thing. The bar/restaurant was lined with TVs for sports viewing. They do have a sports book there but given the hour and day of the week it was pretty quiet. It looked like there was only one window open accepting bets but maybe they open more during busier game times. All in all, a decent place to spend a few hours trying your luck or your poker skills. Players were cool folks and fun to play against. It was clear it was my first time there and stuck out like a sore thumb but was treated great. I've never met a more incompetent person than Mr.Witkowski, yet he somehow finds it within himself to keep a smarmy demeanor that is almost as disgusting as the way other staff here treats it's patrons. The food is horrible even by the low low bar of being a place where apparent stabbings happen. If you have respect for yourself go to any number of the better establishments in the area. There are way less people on a Saturday night, yet I waited 35 minutes at the bar and STILL didn't get a drink. No waitresses that go table to table anymore either. I'm not a regular pool player but when the family decided to go to a pool hall in conjunction with a shopping trip, I decided to go along. That turned out to be an awesome choice. We had an amazing evening. With time to spare between shopping and meeting friends for dinner, we had a good three hours to play. We entered the Costco-sized center and were met by friendly attendants. After being ushered to a table we began playing and getting a couple of local brews. The place was well attended but not full, although the casino towards the end was quite busy. Halfway through our game, we met Jeff, the day manager. Perhaps the most affable, gregarious and courteous manager I've seen in ten years. He was getting off shift and even played a hand with us. His demeanor and the rest of the staff is the reason why we will be back. Superb time. read more

Service sucks however I come here for roulette and always seem to win here. Lots of Pool tables and huge bar. They have live music on weekends sometimes. If you're solely looking for drinking. I would go elsewhere where you can get more for your money. So now I came back to try some more food here and it's awful. I got the pizza and it was gross. Soggy seemed microwaved seemed to be pita bread with sauce and cheese. Very low quality maybe worth 3.99. Not 9.99 Also got the nachos and that was another disappointment ( see pics). Cheese was not fully melted everything was in the middle of the dish so when you pick up one nacho the whole plate comes up with it. Very disappointed.
