They update us through a mobile up throughout the day with pictures and videos so you don't miss precious moments as your child grows. There's lots of space at this daycare for the kids to play and an outdoor field close by where the teachers take them when the weather is nice. The indoor parking garage is also great for parents so you don't have to worry about heavy rain or winds as you pick up and drop off. You can tell they take care of their staff because some of the teachers have been there for years and we have built a great relationship with them throughout that time. They also setup fun events like a day at the beach for staff, parents, and family to eat, relax, and get to know each other. We really couldn't ask for more from a daycare.

We had a fantastic experience with Suzanne. She was knowledgeable, encouraging, considerate, and…read morefantastic with the baby. She helped our baby over a handful of appointments (~2 months, every couple weeks) to tackle torticolis, which was so successful that we were able to avoid having to do any baby helmet treatment (usually ~$2000 because it's typically not covered by insurance since it's considered cosmetic). Our baby had a flat spot on the side of her head early on, so with the recommendation by her pediatrician we went for a helmet consultation relatively early around 3 months. They said treatment couldn't start until baby had sufficient neck control and the treatment would likely need to be combined with PT. To get ahead and because we really didn't want to do the helmet if possible, we pursued PT as soon as we could. It was impossible to find anyone in our insurance network and everyone we looked into had rates that were about the same. My own PT for postpartum recovery and other locals highly recommended Kids on the Grow, so we went with them! They also came to our place for all of the appointments, which was extremely helpful as sleep deprived first time parents. With baby PT you need to be involved and do "homework" with your baby in between appointments, but they make it really fun and it's wonderful to see the progress!! Initially we did have some issues contacting their office because they didn't get any of our emails or phone calls. My own PT had to help connect us via email. Otherwise, once we got a hold of them the staff who we also communicated with were very good. All paperwork was done digitally, which was super convenient.

The staff are warm and friendly and as long as you call, you are welcome to come by for a visit. No pressure, you can see each of the classrooms and get to review curriculum, food menu, and watch the children and teachers interact with each other. Our daughter was a preemie so we had some initial concerns whether the staff would be able to care for her and give her the attention she would need to develop properly. A year later our baby is hitting and exceeding her developmental milestones. She loves to play (is already exhibiting imagination play), has good social skills, and a very friendly disposition. Is this place perfect? No. But when we've encountered a problem we took the bull by the horns and communicated any frustrations and misunderstandings with staff and director immediately (both verbal and written) and they've responded in turn. Unless there is a policy in place (e.g. how babies receive medication) they are pretty flexible in responding to an individual child's needs. They just need to know. We are very happy with IPELC and are excited to watch our baby grow and develop there over the next several years.

Two of my three children are clients of Lumiere through both Early Intervention and Private Speech…read moreTherapy. Our speech pathologists and physical therapists have exceeded ALL our expectations and I felt it important to share here for reference for other families. My son's delays were both about 30% in speech and also in physical development. So, we did not have a high-needs situation, however they've each made incredible improvements in less than 5 months. Here are the reasons I feel Lumiere Children's Therapy was a perfect fit for us: 1. The therapists are accessible and flexible and respond quickly to my text requests. 2. Each therapist that has worked in my home with my youngest in IE has been respectful, considerate and WELL trained. They patiently work with the wide range of emotions and challenges my son presents. I've connected with each therapist and trust them. 3. The therapy is working. As I watch the therapist work with each of my sons, I'm surprised at the simplicity of what they do. Though it looks 'easy' it's working and it's more than I was able to and they target delays I was unaware of. 3. The facility is well cared for, inspiring and welcoming for my sons and I. (It looks new) I bring all three sons to the sessions for my 6 year old and the staff is happy to let us play with their new toys for that hour. 4. The billing coordinator calls me directly, receives and responds quickly to my questions and has made the experience very positive. I feel she is on the side of the parents. I highly recommend this group to families that are looking for therapy to be a positive experience for their children. My sons are sensitive and highly reactive and I know it is the expertise & energy of the therapists that is moving us forward.
