I have family that lives in Bronxville, and Value Drugs is one of the businesses in the village…read morethat they frequent. One of my aunts alerted me of a sale that they have every year around the holidays where most items run 20% off - she usually takes advantage of this sale when purchasing small gifts and stocking stuffers. This year, she asked if I was interested in joining, and since I indeed needed to pick up a few small gifts, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to check Value Drugs out. On the surface, Value Drugs is an independent pharmacy, but it's a little more than that since addition to being a pharmacy and providing corresponding retail items, they have a large selection of non-pharmacy items which gives the feel of almost being a general store. It's a family business as well, with multiple locations in Westchester and on Long Island. The store is quite large - you enter into the main area with general merchandise, and then the pharmacy area is almost in a separate room off to the side. They have a good selection of merch - you can easily spend a good chunk of time browsing. As soon as I entered I focused on the holiday section - I was able to pick up some confections to complement gifts I was giving, and noticed they had a variety of decor as well. Even though the store is large, the aisles are tight - it was a struggle to navigate with all of the foot traffic, however I feel this was an atypical situation due to the sale. Service was good; the store was well staffed and despite everything going on, there was a flow and organization. Overall, I had a good first experience at Value Drugs. I cannot speak for their pharmacy services, but I can see how their other selection along with cleanliness and good service make it a staple in the Bronxville community.

They sold fake labubus for weeks knowing it was fake. They refused returns and only stopped when I…read morecontacted pop mart legal.

This review is for their passport photo services…read more A little story: We needed a passport photo for my 1 year old. We thought the hardest part would be getting her to be still, not actually finding a place to do it. Even though The post office says on their website that they do passport photos, the leave out that there is an age cap on those photos. They pointed us across the street to a pharmacy in north riverdale who had a passport photo set up. Unfortunately, they couldn't lower the white screen and clearly didn't know much about babies as they kept suggested we prop our daughter up on our hand. She is too wobbly and heavy for such a feat. He attempted laying her on the ground, looking up, which unsurprisingly didn't work. Defeated, my husband and I headed home but the "passport photo" sign on Riverdale Specialty Pharmacy caught our eye. So I dropped my hubby off and walked over with my daughter. There was no sense at all that we were inconveniencing the staff their by asking to do an infant photo shoot. They were flexible, patient, And super creative to get what we needed. Inside is also so nice and clean and inviting. I highly recommend that if you need a passport photo for a we one (or anyone else) that you come here!!

Unfortunately, I have to leave a negative review for Riverdale Specialty Pharmacy…read more When you pick up medication in person, the staff is courteous and professional. That part deserves acknowledgment. However, my experience with their delivery service has been consistently problematic, and at this point, unacceptable. I will not mention names, but the delivery drivers they outsource to are unreliable, unprofessional, and inconsiderate. I've experienced repeated delivery issues, including false claims that my address was incorrect, despite the fact that they have delivered to this same address before, albeit with ongoing problems. What makes this worse is the timing. There is an incoming snowstorm, and instead of clear communication or accountability, I'm receiving inaccurate information and excuses. Medication is not optional. This is not a package from an online retailer. This is someone's health. I am now seriously considering transferring my prescriptions elsewhere. Riverdale Specialty Pharmacy should reevaluate the third-party delivery partners they choose to work with. Thank your delivery partner for losing patient trust and potentially compromising access to essential medication. Courtesy at the counter does not make up for a delivery failure. Reliability matters. Accountability matters. And right now, those standards are not being met. Very disrespectful and inconsiderate - they have no regard for the elderly and the disabled.

To be fair, had I done this review over a year ago, it would have been 1 generous star easily…read more So based on all the years I've been here, I finally had enough and stopped coming here altogether. From the inept. rude staff to the stocking issues, I didn't need to come here and get frustrated so I avoided this place for the longest time although they are the closest CVS to me. I've had to come here twice fairly recently out of simple necessity. Both times they have seemed like they've changed a bit. The store looks more presentable than it did for many years and most things I needed were in stock. The cashiers have actually been efficient and friendly. And there are no automated registers here. I've had issues here before with the pharmacy - both with their pricing, lack of simple logic, and inept staff.....both pharmacists and everyone else back there. The assistants always seemed to think they were above customers and had brains, when it was in fact the opposite - really, they put on the white coat and they think they're something they're clearly not. A few of the staff in the back end of the pharmacy were more than enough to make me swear off this location to ever use as a pharmacy again. I've gone to locals and CVS's main competitor Walgreen's down the block. Perhaps along with the rest of the changes in this location, they have changed the pharmacy area as well. Maybe some of those idiots they had back there are actually gone now. Maybe one day I'll try them again.....maybe. Anyway, the aisles are a little cramped at some spots. They have chairs for customers waiting for their prescriptions in the back and it does get crowded at times. The general CVS layout is mainly the same as far as actual stock goes as most other locations. The parking lot sucks, but there's not much they can do about it. It's crowded near the front and there's always cars coming and going along with pedestrian traffic. Cars making a left turn from the lot will sometimes be there a while since Yonkers Avenue traffic can be a bit much at times. There used to be a panhandler at the front of the doors here all of the time with the same "story" each time - she must've made quite the living, as she was there for years doing this all day and night instead of actually finding a job. Anyway, I haven't seen her the last two times I went, so she's finally gone. So yes, while I despised this CVS for many, many years - they seemed to have changed and I'm willing to come back and try some more here. Hopefully they continue this way. Maybe after a while, I'll give their pharmacy a try again.

The worst pharmacy, the pharmacist consistently doesn't show up on time. This is repeated behavior…read morewith this store
