They…read morecompleted the fiber to coax connection, added a Hitron DOCSIS 3.1 modem, and provided an eero Wi-Fi gateway and eero range extender, which I was able to self-install and bring up the Internet and Wi-Fi with. The eero range extender turned out to have a hardware issue, which required taking it to the Stayton store for swap. That was completed quickly and without additional out of pocket cost. The service itself has been great! Good speed and reliability, enduring over bad weather, on a par with the "Big Player" that we used to have, and at a more affordable monthly cost! We're happy with Astound, and as an engineer who retired from the Tech Industry, I recommend them.

Terrible business practice, rude customer service. No alternative to actually prove who you are to get help over the phone. Be aware that this company either stores all of their customers info in a non-secure fashion so that their employees can reference it OR they are logging in to your customer facing profile to get information about your billing history and payments. But when I went in in person I was given all the info immediately no questions asked or identity verified in any way. So what gives? Unfortunately not many other options for internet around here but I no longer trust SCTC to handle our information or be at all helpful with the process. And what do you do about a forgotten password? Can't get help over the phone, can't log in to the account to make a new one? We will be looking elsewhere for internet service.
