We stopped at Meriano's Bake Shoppe after a trip to the area. What a wonderful one stop shop bakery. I wish it was closer to us. You can get sauce and stuffed breads. We loved the chicken Parmesan stuffed bread. The bread itself was sweet, airy, and has a nice bite. The chicken and cheese inside was just right and filled throughout. We got 4 different cupcakes to sample. The cupcakes were fresh, moist, and flavorful. Love a wonderful Funfetti! My husband enjoyed picking out a sampling of their pastries. He loved them all- cinnamon roll, apple stick and the blueberry and strawberry danish. We greatly enjoyed our trip and every single item we purchased. My daughter and I attended the Food Truck Festival in Wolcott and my daughter love's Cannolis, so we had to stop by. Meriano's Bake Shoppe has a brick and mortar location but they also have a food truck that goes to a variety of locations. My daughter ordered an Oreo Cannoli and I took a couple of bites of my daughter's Cannoli and it was delicious. I'm not really a sweets fan but the couple bites I did take were delicious. The cream was very creamy and not too sweet. The Cannoli itself was crunchy and packed with a punch of an Oreo cookie. It was an overall a good Cannoli. read more

We ordered a carrot cake for a special anniversary celebration and were very disappointed as it was not the quality we have experienced previously. Cake was beautifully decorated but there was more icing than cake!! for instance, there were 3 layers and the bottom layer seemed to be 1/4" thick, whereas the icing was 2-3 times that. Also, the cream cheese icing apparently was made with granulated rather than powdered sugar, such that it was slightly crunchy. Finally, the cake barely had carrots in it and looked and tasted more like a mild spice cake. And the price of $45 for 6" cake seems quite pricey especially for the quality. I am sorry to write such a negative review but the disappointment for a very special occasion seems to merit candid feedback. read more

Hands down mine and my husbands favorite bakery. These guys have the best cannolis we have ever had and we live close to Carlos' bakery in Mohegan sun so that says a lot. We drive down a good 25-30 minutes just to visit the bakery and get some treats. We have never had a stale product when we have gone and they always have such an array of options of sweets. Some of the best cannolis we've ever tasted. Our family who lives in Madison brought these to a party and I was blown away. We took some home and the next day, the shell was still just as crispy.
