My first visit there were a few people who opted to stand outside instead of waiting inside due to the lack of space. However, that just seems to be because they prioritized baking/kitchen space over waiting area space considering there are usually no tables at crumbl. Overall, the cookies for the week I went were pretty good, I was particularly fond of the strawberry cake cookie as well as the caramel apple cookie and dropped by again to grab some more before they left. Although not pictured below I did get a mini snickerdoodle and a mini mint chip ice cream cookie which were a bit lacking in flavor but overall decent. We also tried the s'mores cookie which we believed only tasted like a s'more if you made sure to get a bite with marshmallow in it and the Dubai chocolate cheesecake didn't really taste like much compared to there Dubai chocolate brownie from a couple of months ago. However, that won't stop me from coming back. The workers are very friendly and you can tell they are working hard everyday! I can't wait to come back to try next week's line up!

I picked the toffee chocolate chip and the lemon sugar cookie. The toffee CCC had a crunchy exterior (probably from the melted toffee) which elevated the usual chocolate chip cookie. The lemon sugar cookie was soft in texture which I liked. I wouldn't have minded a little more lemon taste but it was still good. If this bakery were near where I live, I'd go every week!

We made chocolate caramel cookies, shaped decorated sugar cookies, raspberry jam thumbprint cookies, and chocolate chip cookies. Getting almost all our Christmas cookie baking done as a date night in 2 hours was awesome! Lots of fun conversations, great group of people, everything prepped and ready for us to roll, shape, decorate, bake and then put it in a fabulous cookie container. We signed up for the March St Patricks day class on the spot! They also offer a cannoli class, and a Valentines class. Soooo worth it. I love to visit them on the green in East Haven at the farmers market too.

Because online it said cakes of a certain size need a deposit, I called the shop the next morning to make arrangements and confirm the order. The shop answered quickly, confirmed my order, asked me some questions about the design, gave me a quote ($85) and let me know no deposit was needed! I went to pick up my cake Tuesday. I had signed up to grab it at 5 PM but was there around 4 PM. Luckily it was ready, they showed it to me, asked me if I wanted anything added, but it was very cute as is. They packaged it up, and I also bought their blueberry cheesecake and an iced matcha. Blueberry cheesecake was delicious, not too sweet and very flavorful. And the matcha was solid. The shop is cute, it was just quite warm inside reflecting the 90 degree day. And the next day, the cake was a hit, especially the design! After a great conversation with the owner/baker/artist I picked out a poppyseed pastry, and a Spanish style cheese danish for the trip home. It would have been great to get one of everything but there's always another day. Let's just say I demolished one pastry when I got home and saved the second one for the next day.
