Darrell and his crew were fantastic from start to finish. I reached out to Mercer on Wednesday, April 1st, and Darrell personally came out to my home in Fort Worth the very next day to take a look and provide a quote. What really stood out to me was his knowledge. He pointed out a couple of invasive trees in my yard that needed to be removed right away, which I wouldn't have caught on my own (mulberry and chinaberry trees). We walked the property together, talked through what needed trimming or cleanup, and he gave me a quote on the spot, then followed up with it by email. Once I approved everything, they came out on April 6th and got right to work. Darrell and his team were incredibly efficient. They handled everything we discussed in just over an hour, which honestly surprised me. On top of that, they even replanted a plant I wanted to keep into a large outdoor vase that had a dead plant inside of it. They cleaned up all the debris and left the yard looking fresh and well cared for. The pricing was very fair, and there were no surprises. Right before they wrapped up, I asked if they could also remove a tree that had recently damaged a retaining wall near my front porch. Darrell took care of it quickly and charged a very reasonable additional price. Payment was easy through Zelle, which made the whole process even smoother. If my yard ever gets out of hand again, I won't hesitate to call Mercer. I'm very happy with the work they did. read more

Absolutely fantastic company to work with. Exceptional communication and professionalism. We are new to the Ft Worth area, and noticed our neighbor had a tree trimmed by Mercer. We asked them for an estimate to trim our 40 ft maple tree but, Darryl, the owner told us plainly that the tree was not healthy and we shouldn't put money into trimming it. One month later, during a storm, a large limb broke right off the maple. Darryl was right. We reached out to Mercer and they replied immediately. They negotiated a very reasonable price to remove the tree and grind out the stump. They were very flexible with our schedule and they did a great job. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone in need of a reliable tree service. Thank you so much Chris! read more

We had three trees that were getting overgrown and were actually touching the house / roof. Solicited bids on yelp and while I received several quotes - only Mercer called and came out to see exactly what we needed before giving a generic quote. Once Richard left - I knew exactly what to expect and the total cost. Even though the quote was higher - I had no idea what I was getting from the others and knew the price would most likely go up. The team showed up on time. They were quick and efficient. Heck, the front lawn looks better when they left than when they arrived! They did exactly what I had asked in the quote. I didn't want the trees scalped, just get the branches away from the house, trim and reshape them and take a little off the bottom. They did exactly that. I love how it turned out. I definitely recommend Mercer and will use them again when the time comes. read more

Mercer Tree Service, What can I say about Mercer Tree and Landscape Services? I have used Daryl Mercers tree service for the last 12 years. He is polite and gets the job done right the first time. I am not a hired actor. I am a real customer. =) You hire him, and the job gets done right and right away, the first time. They will always do their best to make the customer happy. Get your best quotes in, and then give them a call. This way you can see just how much money they save you compared to the other guy. That's what I used to do. Now I just call and hire them, saving me time and money. Looking for professional service at reasonable prices you found them. James in Arlington, Texas. read more

Called for an estimate and was quoted $550! When I expressed surprise the response I received was, "Good luck finding anyone to do it cheaper". Well I did, the very next call I made I found a company that agreed to do it for $200. I don't know how people sleep at night taking advantage of people like this. read more

Haltom City Rifle and Pistol Club hired Mercer Tree Service to remove trees from our West Property line the length of the West protective wall. The job they did was incomplete and did meet expectations. They even tried to change (increase) their proposal pricing in the middle of the project. I would not recommend doing business with this company. read more

Mercer Tree Service - Tree Services Near Me - Fort Worth, Texas

Mercer Tree Service is fantastic. I had 2 giant red oak trees overhanging my house and they were starting to rot out at the base. Richard responded to my quote request and stopped by the same day and gave me a fair quote to fell the trees in the next week or two. Somehow they managed to get a crew out the very next day--and it was a qualified, friendly, and safe crew. They were very careful dropping every branch and it only took a few hours. It is a pleasure to have the problem solved and they left the workspace clean (I contracted to keep the hardwood). read more

This exchange I had with Darrell M. was very revealing. Watching him (in his responses) have a throw-down pout-y fit like a 3-year-old was a red-light warning! Extremely unprofessional, and I have to say that I'm glad that yelp provides the opportunity to 'out' services that will probably take advantage of you at every opportunity. Do Not Give This "Service" The opening to coerce twice the price as his competitors offer! On the other hand, if you do hire him, please contact me. I can give you a GREAT price on the Brooklyn Bridge! (an old scam from years ago - but it still occasionally works!) read more

This service was amazing. They were on time, efficient and very friendly. My yard had 2 very old and very big pine trees in the front yard. Mercers quote was very reasonable and about the same as others. When he came out to give me the bid- he told me what they would do and how they would leave the yard. That is exactly what they did. I live in Tarrant County and highly recommend this company. A couple of trees fell on my automatic gate causing it to be stuck and making it difficult for me to get in and out. I called several companies in a panic; but as it was Christmas Eve, no one was available. Darrell interrupted his personal schedule and came by that day to assess the situation and give me an estimate. His team arrived as promised, on time. They were very professional, quick and cleaned up afterwards--even cutting and stacking some wood for me that I had requested be for firewood. We had Mercer Tree service remove several large trees and trim other large trees. I was concerned about the tree removals because the trees were close to our fences, pool and large expensive urns. They did a fantastic job efficiently removing the trees, protecting our yard, pool and things like our mosquito mister system and sprinklers. It was amazing to watch them work. When they were done they cleaned everything and left the yard perfect. For the trees the cleaned up and trimmed they did a fantastic job as well. They also ground down the stumps when other tree companies said they wouldn't be able to. We couldn't be happier. When I was getting bids a lot of companies seemed good but I got a good feeling from Mercer Tree service and they were doing another house in the neighborhood. We recommend them whole heartedly. read more

I am beyond impressed with the service of this company. I had one large bald cypress that needed to be removed from my back yard and the stump ground. The owner was extremely prompt in arriving and giving me an estimate which was very reasonable and scheduled the tree removal for the following week. The owner then called me a short time later that day to advise they finished up early on another job and could do mine today. The crew of 4 quickly removed the tree, ground the stump and cleaned up all the debris. You can barely tell I had a 50' tree in the yard. Would highly recommend this company. read more

I had several companies give me their bid on pruning four large trees in my front yard. These trees are 25 years old and tall and blocking out the sun. I called Mercer tree service and spoke with Darrell Mercer on Friday and asked when you could do the job. He said he could be out here at 7:30 following Tuesday. Let me tell you 7:15 AM They were here. They did an excellent job and Darryl and his helpers are excellent workers. Their equipment is top-of-the-line. I would highly recommend anybody wanting their trees trimmed or prune to call Mercer tree service. They are the best. And by the way, they cleaned everything up And not one leaf was left on the yard. Darrell and crew did a great job! Darrell (Mercer) responded quickly to our request for a quote. He walked the property with us and, in addition to discussing the work we had called about, pointed out a couple of additional problems that needed addressing (like a tree that was about to fall). Showed up on time, did a great job, and cleaned up beautifully afterwards. (Plus, he has Workmen's Comp., which we appreciate, and not all tree trimming services carry.) read more
