Help to repair pool tile. A section of tile on the pool spa 24" long fell off. I couldn't find anyone who would do the repair. There are no shops that offer this service near me in central NJ. I found Mercedes U tube video online and followed the instructions given. They were very thorough even telling you what to buy where. I started out not confident I could do the repair myself. I would stay clear of Mercedes Pools. They will overcharge you for extra services, and Allison will try to push services on you that you don't need, especially filter cleans. I told her my filter had been cleaned within the last 30 days. I knew this because the current pool company hadn't billed me for it yet. She still insisted that my filter would need to be cleaned in 2 months. I reached out to them about removing some stains from my pool. Between the bi-monthly filter cleans and wanting to charge me $1,700 to acid wash my pool (the other bids I received were less than $1,000), I went with another company to do the work and weekly maintenance. They also put their company sticker on my pool equipment, prompting another company to put their sticker on my equipment. My pool equipment looked like an Ad page. I called both companies and asked them to remove their stickers. I called Mercedes 3 times, asking them politely to remove it. They never came out and removed the sticker, so I had to waste my time and a lot of Goo Gone. Unlike the other company, which promptly came out and removed theirs. read more

I should have known from the mixed reviews, and I blame myself for giving them my business! I asked for a one time cleaning for my pool and fixing the GFCI. They fixed the outlet, added a bunch of extra repairs (that in all honesty were needed, so no complains here), but they did not clean the pool (although they had charged me for it), instead they said I have to pay them first and then they will give me a new estimate for the cleaning. After paying they off, they sent me a new quote for $750 just a clean the pool!! Their original estimate was... wait for it.... $85! read more

So I want to generally echo what Jason H. indicated in his feedback. In addition to the extraordinarily poor customer service, I was lied to on multiple occasions where Alicia (manager) asserted service was taking place, when in fact it was not. They forget (or don't realize?) many people like myself have outdoor cameras and can validate what work was actually completed per their reports. I love good to great service companies and the people who deliver for their customers! Earlier I wrote a glowing review for Hilton. It doesn't take much to make me a fan IF you are trying and honest with your customers. Alicia is in the wrong business as Jason indicates. I've never met the owner, but she is a reflection of this poorly run company. I strongly suggest you steer clear of Mercedes Pools. If you, as a contractor mess up, then own it and I'll work with you! If you do it over and over again, then perhaps a change in personnel is in order.... but if you consistently lie about service conducted... well, that's just not tolerated. Bottom line, run away from Mercedes Pools. read more

If you looking for an over priced vendor that will try to sell you services you don't need and won't show up for regular maintenance but will lie about being there (even thought your cameras tell you they weren't) and charge you anyway you have come to the right place. Horrible service is what you can expect with a bunch of excuses. I would recommend you choose any other vendor. Maybe a pack of goats would provide better service. The picture shows my lawn and they tried to convince me they had been there that day to cut my grass and service my pool. Doesn't look like the grass was cut to me, the whole yard looked like that. read more

They are the worst. Alicia is the rudest person I've ever talked to. She claims to be the brains of the organization, and David, (the owner), is a dumb worker bee. She calls people who don't pay on time deadbeats, and claims she doesn't have to worry about them right now because everybody has a card on file and she runs it herself. She complains that she has to do that and they are trying to implement a system that sends out emails where the customer has to pay by a certain date or they are just out because they didn't buy their supplies on the first of the month. Oh, but don't get her talking about disc golf!!! All I needed was invoices to be reimbursed for expenses on a listing. After 12 days I gave up. Alicia was on I guess a permanent vacation and put it on the owner which evidently doesn't know how to do that. While taking care of my vacant listing they broke the vaccume system. I found it sprawled out on the patio. When I confronted them originally they told me how much it would cost to replace it...um no!!! Eventually they replaced that for free. I will give them that. 70% of the time I went over the pool had crap in the bottom and was dirty. They told me that was the nature of the coping around the pool. Funny, while the owners lived there that problem didn't exist. David seems to know what he's doing, but business wise he doesn't. That place would be a lot better without Alicia. She is the absolute worst customer service ever. I have rude texts and emails to prove it. I can tell you how many emails started with, "I told you to...". I hope he can find better help. He was referred to me by a colleague, i told her about it and she couldn't believe it. I guess that means others may have better service. As for me...no. We originally hired Mercedes to be our pool cleaning service when we moved into our home. They quickly became our go-to for all things pool-related and the owner, David, has been nothing but awesome and extremely accommodating. We were sad when we found out the plaster was starting to bubble off of the inside of the pool and we would have to go through a resurfacing. (nothing to do with them, just an old pool). David really helped to walk us through the process and use this problem to create an opportunity for us to remodel the pool into something fantastic! He and his team really worked with us to help make our vision a reality and now it looks like we have a custom built pool, all from a face-lift! We absolutely LOVE the way it turned out! I never want to move now and cannot wait until summer so we can finally use it! (we remodeled after the end of the season). Only thing left now is to get a heater installed for year-round spa action! read more

Had Mercedes Pool replace my pool equipment this year. They returned my call quickly and were able to replace my equipment within 2 days. They also replaced my pool light ( other companies didn't want to hassle with it) and gave me complimentary weekly cleanings until the chemicals were balanced in the pool. The owner stopped by a few times throughout the day they were doing the work to make sure I didn't have questions.i was very impressed with their work and my pool looks great! read more

We paid for one month of service with the understanding I must be home as we don't leave our gates unlocked. Twice they never showed, once on the day after thanksgiving they called to say "we're here" to make repairs that were scheduled two weeks earlier (one of the no-shows) but we no longer wanted them to do the work, only finish out our month of cleaning (since we had lost faith in the company). When I said we're out of town and need to have a scheduled cleaning they agreed but the following week said they did the work by jumping our fence which I find, at the very least, unprofessional. Perhaps bordering on trespassing. I do not recommend this company. read more

David does a great job! Unlike other pool companies that I have utilized in the past, he is attentive, on time, and takes care of things when requested very quickly. My pool is always beautiful. I do not have to worry about a thing, because he handles everything and I get to enjoy my pool. I dealt with terrible pool companies in the past and one caused damage and cost me a fortune. I am so thankful to have found David. I trust him, his prices are fair, and he is sincere in taking the time to explain new products to me. He seems to stay on top of the latest and greatest pool and backyard features which I like, because I am always adding new things in my backyard to make it more enjoyable. It's my staycation. It's great that he can do so many things from outdoor kitchens, fire-pits, pergolas, fun pool lights, water features, and more. It's nice to have one go to person that I can trust.
