I hate writing this follow up review, but my current experience with Valerie and her company is…read morevastly different than the person I worked with 5 years ago. My website has broken down many times over the years. When I reach out for help, she goes MIA. The support has been terrible. I feel like I am dealing with a completely different person than the one who built my website who I really liked. My website has been down for a month this time. I have reached out to her 5 times with no response. Therefore, I have to sadly retract my earlier recommendation regarding Valerie and Tall Cube because their level of customer service dramatically declined and it's just not the same company.

Let me be clear: Goose Dog Designs is NOT a discount web provider. Let me tell you what they…read moreare.... Goose Dog Designs is a top-quality, best-in-class service provider for a reasonable price. Valerie, the owner, is at the top of her game. The customer service is excellent, the turnaround fast to cheetah like, and the work product outstanding. They are incredibly responsive and take the time to understand your business goals and then translate that into web-design. They are also detail-oriented. Like crazy detail-oriented. Trust me, you want that in your website design. Here's the cool value-add: unlike some socially-challenged, one-dimensional code writer, Valerie and her team understand the modern business environment. They possess a comprehensive understanding of e-commerce, social media and website design. As such, I was the beneficial recipient of some much-appreciated advice. I came to Goose Dog Designs with a preconceived notion of what I wanted in my site, but I ultimately benefited from their expertise, e.g.: Valerie: "Jay, I hear that you want "x," but going that route means unintended consequence "y." If you do it in this different way, it will be more functional, easier on the eye and will deliver added benefit z." Me: "Oh. Right. That's what I meant to say. Yes, yes, exactly, please do it that way." I know what you're thinking: "I've got a friend of a friend who went on website xyz and built her own website for free and it looks great." Uh...ok. I heard that too. Maybe there are those people out there. I'm not one of them. I consider myself tech-literate/tech-functional, i.e., I can work my way around a computer, various operating systems and software, but I can't write (and don't understand) code. I thought I could pull it off, so I tried to make my own site; 3 days of loss productivity later, I was left with what looked like the work of a drunken 4 year old. I was on the fence to retain Goose Dog Designs or this guy on Craigslist that said he would do the job for 1/4 the price, when the ol' Ben Franklin adage came to mind: "The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten." I was embarking on the launch of my third business, and as a cash-strapped entrepreneur, I was lured by the many discount web development offerings out there. But luckily, I also quickly remembered how frequently the discount service providers turned into total nightmares: missed deliverables, shoddy craftsmanship, business delays (read: lost potential income), untold frustration, and finally the awkwardness of having to fire the provider and ultimately go and pay someone more money to undo the previous errors and get the job done right. Let me cut to the chase: I know you think you can probably beat the price. You're right. You can. Now look at your calendar. It's 2013 and your website is your #1 marketing tool in the modern marketplace. Do you really want to buy the cheapest model out there? That's like taking a potential client to McDonald's. Valerie and her team are not the cheapest, but in my opinion, they are the best price performers out there. That's the intersection you want to focus your search on: quality for the money. In that category, I don't think you can beat Goose Dog Designs.

Extremely expensive…read moreand we have had very little return to our "investment" You will get the same website and colors of all their clients with no originality. Our "original" Logo that Nuvolum allegedly created, turned around after a year or so later, and used the exact same logo and colors that I thought was unique to our practice. So they have templated websites that they use for all practices. The campaigns they have had us participate in have done nothing for our practice except for additional money and time. PLEASE read all the reviews online including from ex-employees which is very telling of who you are working with. High staff turnover. Arrogance and narcissistic attitude. LOTS of empty promises and they continually are trying to sell you more things to purchase from them. We have done everything they have asked from us with little to no positive results and that is after 30 months of working with these salesmen not a marketing company. We have worked with other companies in the past with substantially better results, with professional people to work with, and a fraction of the cost that you will spend with Nuvolum. Yes I am a real oral surgeon client. They even accused one practice of not being a client of Nuvolum after the practice wrote a very negative experience with them. So in order to make people reading the reviews believe it was a fake review to save face. We have voiced our displeasure several times and the owners as the reviews say are callous and lack empathy, but if you choose to work with them PLEASE DO NOT sign the contract until you have an attorney read it first. The contract is designed so that they can fire you for any reason ( I personally no a practice that they did this to) but if you are not getting the results that they WILL promise you, you cannot fire them. They will also try the classic sales tactic of pressuring you into signing on with them in less than 48 hours...... YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!

Our practice just started with them in March and we've already tackled so much. Just putting things into motion now. Trevor is our team leader and he is awesome! We just finished the team building DISC workshop with Janeé and she rocked too! The workshop was just what our team needed to have a fun connection activity right before summer starts! We're looking forward to what else Nuvolum has in store for us this year.
