ABC Imaging is the best. They make everything easy, printing and delivering wherever within 24 hours of placing the order, which can be done at their website or via email. Kenny at the front desk even proactively checked measurements of the printed drawings I emailed him ahead of time to ensure the 1:1 scale was exact. The team also accomodated me 10 mins before closing for last a last minute request to mount some drawings on backerboard. I'm glad to be the first to review this establishment. Normally, I don't post much on here as it's all subjective; however, when I feel strongly about a place, whether good or bad, I can't resist the urge. Background about the establishment: formerly known as Graphic Reproduction in SOMA, they merged with ABC Imaging and are now located in the FiDi near Pine and Battery Streets. The old place was a total dive; the new facility while seemingly nice looking is small and cramped. Nice looking does not equate to good service. Never judge a book by its cover, right? Previous history/experience with Graphic Reproduction: while working in marketing coordination for a design firm in SF, I repeatedly had issues with the quality of service and output. Color was always way off, I repeatedly had to give them new instructions and give them pointers on how to trouble-shoot a variety of situations. In some instances work was so badly produced that I had to ask for a discount; once my work was returned to me so late that I almost missed the deadline. Fast-forward to nearly two years later: I took a design class and needed some color plans and sections to be printed for my final project. I looked these folks up and thought they'd be better after talking with them a bit and learning of the merge. New company, new identity - new "image!" Not at all...the image of my work was way off: pixelated and the color was horrible. I pointed this out to the gentleman and he said that every screen is different it will be fine we'll color match - blah blah blah. Needless to say, when I got the final print it was so bad - even after I brought in the original drawing for them to color match. The graphics person was the same as well - she would sit at the computer, using Photoshop, and would just stare at the screen without knowing what to do. After many hours there trying to work with them, I hastily left. Also to note is that their computers run super slow. The graphics person would click to open Photoshop and it would be about 5 minutes before it actually opened. This translates to an inordinate amount of time spent to execute and produce anything you ask them to "design." Despite the fact that they did such a poor job, they ran the charge for the horrible color scan. When I asked if they would reconsider, they declined. Since I was there a few hours, I also saw a couple of instances where large jobs had been brought back by other design and engineering firms due to the poor quality of product and customer service. In one instance, a very large job for an architectural firm had apparently been dropped by them, belaboring receipt of output. They ended up staying open very very late on a Friday night as a result of their neglect. The lesson learned: spend the extra money and go to BPS Reprographics to get your work copied, printed, collated, stitched, bound, etc. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND PRECIOUS $$$ HERE!!! read more

I worked with Bobby at ABC to have some booklets printed for one of our hotel properties. The turnaround was incredibly fast, and he made sure to stay under our budget. I had looked into using Fed Ex and other copy shops to try and save money, but ABC beat their quotes and delivered a much higher quality product. Will definitely be using them in the future! read more
