My husband and I found this gem by chance. Mendoza brick has an unlimited, used supply of brick, flagstone, rocks etc and its really affordable AND they deliver!!!! We couldn't believe some of the prices people were asking for flagstone on nextdoor and Facebook for a measly pile. This is a great alternative. CASH or CHECK only. They do not accept credit cards so keep that in mind. We bought two pallets that were delivered when they said they would deliver. We had a great experience and would return! This is literally brick heaven.You can buy bricks individually or by the pallet. You could spend forever here looking at all the different types of bricks they have and if you're a brick lover like I am it's worth it to come here just look around. So how the process goes is you take a look around and find what you want then you speak to someone about how much that type of brick costs. Typically they are $.35-.$.45 a brick regardless of how many you buy. We ended up easily saving a couple hundred dollars for the bricks we needed compared to buying brand new bricks. Only chiming in to echo what everyone else said and reassure you that it's still open and still great! I needed 15 bricks to do some masonry work on my 100+ year old house. I showed them a photo and within 5 minutes they had them matched and in my trunk for less than 10 bucks. Truly a hidden gem of a resource! read more

I have a 1951 brick bungalow that had the old milk door by the side entrance. The frame rusted out and I had pulled it. Well this leaves around a 2x2 foot hole. I found Mendoza Used Brick while try to search for a match or something close. Jose the yard manager looked at the photo I had taken of the bricks on my house. 'Oh ya that's harvard wire brick, it's not to common about 100 years old I don't have to many but follow me.' He went right to the pile and grabbed me 10 bricks. Exact match....unbelievable! Helped me carry it to my car and it was only .50 a brick. If you ever need to match bricks or want to do a large project matching your house this is the place. What a COOL place!!!!!!!!!! This is exactly what hubby and I were looking for when we started searching for bricks to match our old 1930s house's pathway. We have quite a few broken bricks in our path and had no idea where to go, since as DIY homeowners we weren't working with a contractor. We tried all the box stores with crappy concrete pavers which of course didn't match, then discovered Mendoza's. Though it was a bit of a drive for us, it was totally worth it!! Such a great find! We LOVE that everything is used, it really is a brick (and so much more!) paradise. Every color and size you can think of! The owners are so friendly...they showed us around a lot of the area and helped us find a perfect match for our weirdly sized and oddly colored old clay bricks! They helped us load up everything, and we paid about $0.50/brick, which we felt was a great price, especially since we weren't buying a large quantity. I would hazard a guess that they do wholesale for contractors and bulk orders. The location is so random, and it is just one gigantic sea of bricks, pavers, red stone, antique chandeliers, claw foot rubs, scrap metal, staircases, old doors, etc. Everything is salvaged, everything is awesome. It was 100% worth the drive and definitely a place we will visit again!! TIP- Be sure to wear close toed shoes and bring work gloves if you are interested in climbing through it all and poking around...most everything there is for sale!! read more

I have been going to Mendoza's for twenty years for a wide range of salvaged products and been pleased and amazed each time. Jose is beyond helpful in both making arrangements for delivery as well as loading up numerous trunk loads of bricks, flagstone, old windows and other unique finds. This is a fantastic place to find bricks from any color or type. The prices are low and a great deal, and you're reusing good materials instead of sending them to the landfill. I've been there twice. First time really cool! Just got some ideas.Before I went again I called to get a rough estimate on prices of used bricks. I was told to expect between .30 to $ 1 a brick. I'm on a tight budget so I was hoping for closer to the low end. I was there on a day when no one else was there. I was quoted .50 for the brick I wanted. I said ok, more than I wanted to pay but hey I drove way out there. I started to chose the bricks I wanted and was told they were .75 if I chose bricks. This ticked me off but again the drive was really far to come away empty handed. I got fewer than 100 bricks and went to the hut to pay. I saw another item I was interested in. The clerk radioed the yard and asked for a price. I was told $100! The clerk asked me if I wanted it. I was dumbfounded! It was a piece of junk not worth $20. I got the distinct impression that had I been someone else asking I would not have experienced the .25 surcharge for choosing brick nor the insane $100 price quote. Note to owner, if you want customers who extoll your business you might want to disclose your "selection" up charge. read more
