Chris seemed like a very honest and sincere person but when the car I purchased began having issues caused by their team overfilling my oil, things changed. At first, he appeared to want to make this right. I purchased this car for around $6,000. Chris said it had likely caused an issue with the turbo and said he would offer us a great price to have it fixed which I greatly appreciated. He even promised if the problem was still present after, he would not charge us. We got the car back and still the check engine light remained on and black smoke was coming out of the exhaust. I nicely spoke to him several times and even offered that I would take half the money back since times are hard for everyone. My father also tried to contact him and BOTH our numbers are now blocked. I have called the shop multiple times and no calls are returned. The last communication I had nearly a month ago was that Chris needed to do payroll and would let me know. We tried to sell the car back to him and he wouldn't take it. So after barely driving (no more commuting with COVID) and owning the vehicle for about 3 months I had to sell it to CarMax for $2,000. Love these guys! Friendly and laid back with a nice selection of cars ranging from 2500 - 5,000... They were quick with keys for me to test drive a few I was thinking about. When I decided on the one I wanted to buy, they were easy and upfront about the price breakdown with the taxes/fees/etc and didn't gouge or add on any extra junk to it. One issue that you may have is they don't offer financing so you'll need to either pay cash, on a credit card, or have your own financing arranged through your bank or credit union.... which is surprisingly easy to do. I came here looking for a second/ back up vehicle to drive around town. What caught my eye was a nice 2003 BMW. They said the stickers and pricing were not on the vehicle because they JUST GOT it in that day and were in the process of fixing it up before they sold it. It had a few electrical errors and needed a couple belts replaced. They said I could still test drive it and purchase if id like. I test drove the car and they let me drive it to my mechanic in Spring Valley to check it out, which was nice. I decided I wanted to purchase it. When I got back to the shop I told him I wanted to buy it and we discussed pricing. We kept going back and forth between pricing and finally we agreed to a price. "If you wanted a nicer car, you should have gone to CARMAX." -literally what the Manager at Mendoza told me. Bought a car a couple weeks ago. Told them I wanted the option to return, and the salesman pointed to the line and said "sign here." Apparently it was the wrong line. My bad for not paying better attention. Took the car straight to my mechanic who told me the airbags were not operational and had 10 codes on them, indicating an accident. The advertisement on craigslist stated "0 accidents." Drove straight back and was told the manager was out for the week and I had to come back on Monday. Brought my brother with me the next time, and he was to he was "being a little b***" and to "get the f*** out of there" by the salesman, Jose. Run, I mean run from this dealership. Luckily, I read reviews before I buy most big ticket items. The salesmen are fast talking, and a word of advice for everyone, beware of fast talkers. I found what I thought was a great car there, but decided before I'd buy it to have it checked by a mechanic down the street. The mechanic, a super honest guy, said there was oil in the spark plugs and the head gasket needed to be replaced!!! And it needed $700 in other minor repairs- the rear brake rotors and other minor issues. The mechanic said he'd fix the oil problem for $500. When I went back and asked them to fix just the oil problem (Mendoza has its own mechanics) and I would purchase the car, the salesperson's attitude completely changed. He became somewhat hostile, because I exposed a bad car, and refused to fix it. All they had to do is fix it and they had a sale. I walked off feeling as though I dodged a bullet. Women and everyone be SURE if you go there to have your car checked before you buy from there. I have the feeling they are a very unscrupulous dealer. She test drove it and decided that was the one.. I talked to both Chris and Jose who answered all my questions .. they showed me the receipt for the new battery that was replaced and told me they would do an oil change and top off all fluids the day I picked it up. The car was clean inside and out and fully checked by their mechanic.. they followed up with me after 2 weeks of purchasing it to ask if all was good with car. Want to be sold a lemon car?? Well this is the place to go! Had bought a Scion tC from this dealership and in under a month of having the vehicle the whole engine blew up. A whole chunk of the base of the engine was completely off. This happened while I was on my way to an event in San Bernardino, the car completely stopped after the piece of the engine came off. Luckily I wasn't alone when this happened because I would've been alone then I would've been stranded over 100 miles away from home and would've had to push this car to the side of the road myself. Mind you, I'm a petite 21 year old female. The dealership took no accountability for this issue after I contacted them. They just want to sell crappy cares and don't care for their customers.
