Love these guys! Friendly and laid back with a nice selection of cars ranging from 2500 - 5,000... They were quick with keys for me to test drive a few I was thinking about. When I decided on the one I wanted to buy, they were easy and upfront about the price breakdown with the taxes/fees/etc and didn't gouge or add on any extra junk to it. One issue that you may have is they don't offer financing so you'll need to either pay cash, on a credit card, or have your own financing arranged through your bank or credit union.... which is surprisingly easy to do. They can even recommend a place to get financing if you need one (I didn't but I overheard one of the guys explaining where to go to another customer...) read more

I just want to say that the negative comments on yelp don't make sense because I thought the people that helped me out, which were Chris and Tim, were such a big help! I came to test drive the Hyundai Santa Fe and the Honda CR-V and ended up buying the Honda. Chris was so sweet and patient with me. He also put the car to the side for me for abt week so I could get the money together and most of all he gave me a great deal out the door that I feel I could not beat at any other dealership. Paperwork and all was super easy and quick! Tim was helpful in introducing me to someone that could could install a new touchscreen radio. Overall, a great place to get a great deal. I love my car! If you are considering purchasing a car here, RUN! Chris seemed like a very honest and sincere person but when the car I purchased began having issues caused by their team overfilling my oil, things changed. At first, he appeared to want to make this right. I purchased this car for around $6,000. Chris said it had likely caused an issue with the turbo and said he would offer us a great price to have it fixed which I greatly appreciated. He even promised if the problem was still present after, he would not charge us. We got the car back and still the check engine light remained on and black smoke was coming out of the exhaust. I nicely spoke to him several times and even offered that I would take half the money back since times are hard for everyone. My father also tried to contact him and BOTH our numbers are now blocked. I have called the shop multiple times and no calls are returned. The last communication I had nearly a month ago was that Chris needed to do payroll and would let me know. We tried to sell the car back to him and he wouldn't take it. So after barely driving (no more commuting with COVID) and owning the vehicle for about 3 months I had to sell it to CarMax for $2,000. I understand buying a used car comes with risks, but this was a clear case of someone taking advantage and taking my money.. Chris, if you would like to make this right, you know how to reach me (just unblock my number) and I would welcome the chance for you to change my mind on your business practices and ethics. read more

Zero stars. Business hours on website state open until 4 pm on Saturdays and when I called Joe Mendoza for an appointment he told me to be there before 2 pm. I told him I was working until 2 pm but had 6 grand cash in hand to purchase a vehicle. He was unwilling to see me despite my practically begging him to see me. It was all for the best because I connected with a professional dealership whose agent went above and beyond by staying 1.5 hours after business hours to close my deal. I came here looking for a second/ back up vehicle to drive around town. What caught my eye was a nice 2003 BMW. They said the stickers and pricing were not on the vehicle because they JUST GOT it in that day and were in the process of fixing it up before they sold it. It had a few electrical errors and needed a couple belts replaced. They said I could still test drive it and purchase if id like. I test drove the car and they let me drive it to my mechanic in Spring Valley to check it out, which was nice. I decided I wanted to purchase it. When I got back to the shop I told him I wanted to buy it and we discussed pricing. We kept going back and forth between pricing and finally we agreed to a price. Tim shook my hand and we made a deal!! We agreed on a price and everything. He told me he was just going to take it to his mechanic for the smog so he could sell it to me. I told him I could take it to mine and i'd buy it as it is but he said the law in California is that he cannot legally sell me a vehicle without smogging it. I called him every day checking up on the status of the vehicle and he said it was still in the shop getting fixed up. So, I get a call from Tim one day, excited thinking my car is probably ready and he tells me that he SOLD THE CAR WHOLESALE! I was in shock! We already made a deal! I was super bummed and upset to say the least! I mean we made a deal already and I was just waiting for the car!! read more

Cheap prices but you get what you pay for, I've bought a car here the check engine light, it read O2 sensor took it back and asked to replace the sensor, they held the car and said they did but a week later the same code came back on. Took it to a personal mechanic and switched the sensor out of pocket, I thought it could happen anywhere but three years later bought another car, ended with similar problems. read more

"If you wanted a nicer car, you should have gone to CARMAX." -literally what the Manager at Mendoza told me. Bought a car a couple weeks ago. Told them I wanted the option to return, and the salesman pointed to the line and said "sign here." Apparently it was the wrong line. My bad for not paying better attention. Took the car straight to my mechanic who told me the airbags were not operational and had 10 codes on them, indicating an accident. The advertisement on craigslist stated "0 accidents." Drove straight back and was told the manager was out for the week and I had to come back on Monday. Brought my brother with me the next time, and he was to he was "being a little b***" and to "get the f*** out of there" by the salesman, Jose. Brought it back as instructed the next week and was told they already sent the paperwork to the DMV and nothing could be done to help me now. Now I'm stuck with a $2k car that needs $3500 worth of work. Avoid them, yelpers. -Samuel H. read more

Would give them 0 stars if I could. Falsely listed as by owner on CL. Then wouldn't even let me test drive the overpriced car. Lots of rust and damage on car but listed as great condition. The only positive was our interactions only lasted 5 minutes. Complete waste of my time! Did I mention there was a wood screw holding the window control together? Yeah... great condition Edit: In response to Tim F. My complaint was not about the quality of your cars although this one appeared to be lipstick on a pig. It was more about the misleading advertising/business practices and rude pushy salesman. read more

I bought a vehicle from here and decided to return it wasn't for me after all( there were clear issues after I drove on the highway- the airbag sensor came on noting that the airbag was faulty and began hearing a scraping noise as I was driving) Chris was just as eager to assist me as he was when I first made the purchase. He also suggested another vehicle that I instantly fell in love with. So far so good! I appreciated the help and the understanding he has as a salesperson. I was recommended to this place and I left satisfied today! **update my check engine light came on within a week of having the vehicle and now I'm upset. Spending over 5k on a car for you to have to turn right around and spend more money is ridiculous. I understand used cars come with issues at times , but you should be ashamed to smile in someone's face while they have two kids with them and sale something stating that it has no issues. I specifically asked-not that I didn't want to purchase the vehicle but so I would know what I was getting myself into financially in the future. Don't shop here. He's a crook that will smile in your face and hand you his mechanics card. I'm so upset, completely dissatisfied, disappointed. I hope no one ever sales your kids a car that's jacked up. My kids could have died in that first vehicle. Fraudulent business with no morals read more

The day my mother inlaw purchased a car from this dealership it broke down on the freeway. She reported this to the dealership and they gave her the runaround. My husband and I had to speak with the man in charge personally to get this resolved ASAP. JOE then had a whole sales pitch type speech on how this is out of their hands,as he reached for a document he had previously highlighted which started the law prohibits the dealership to offer any assistance on fixing the mechanical problem (Transmission). 》》》》》》》》Fraudsters 《《《《《《《《 The man in charge is conveniently on vacation TIM Mendoza Beware! Edit: in response to the comment. From the owner I didn't even talk to you on the phone about the mileage. I told you when i got there. And I did tell you that I thought it was 200. I didn't realize that I had driven that much. Yes I drove alot. But I was even arguing with my boyfriend saying there's no way I drove that much. I also told you that. And that I had that talk with him. And I apologized. But again. I drove to and from work. My son to and from school. I had alot of things to do. And I actually had the car for about 3 weeks because y'all had told me I needed to wait for the paper work to come through. Before I could trade it. In. It took 3 weeks almost a month. Not a week. I have pictures of the shit that was in the catalytic converter. When it was checked out. There's no way for it to pass smog that way.... The check engine light was on in 2 days. But again. I had to wait for the paper work. Not to mention when I had brought the car back in for y'all to check out I was gonna have to pay 60 for it just to be looked at and it wouldn't have been noticed yet. Because y'all was gonna check the transmission. . So I took it somewhere else. They cleaned it out. When I tried calling to let it be known what it was I was ignored. My calls were denied. And I never got a call back not to mention. Y'all was rude AF to me as well. IDC how many miles I had driven in a week or 4 weeks. I drove it to Texas as well. Thank God I didn't get stuck on the side of the road with my children in the middle.of nowhere. My point was. I handed y'all 4500$ in cash....and 9 fuckin months later. My shit is broke down. Not drive able. With 4500. It should have lasted alot longer I kept up on the maintenance. Oil. All that shit. And I've also noticed in all your comments you have an excuse for everything and everyone who has some issues with your place. Instead of being honest. And admitting you're ripping people off. Hell I heard your employees laughing and talking about a customer who's buying a car. And talking shit about the car. So don't even sit here and say nothing about how you're not. It's fucked up. But y'all obviously don't care. Because y'all are making your money, right? And no I wasn't all over the place with what I said. And even if I was. What was the point in mentioning that. Just something else to make it seem like you're legit. Lol. That's funny. You've had more bad reviews then you have good. Because y'all rip people off. And then don't care about their issues after. There are a few lucky ones. But again. There's something going on there. That ain't legit. Because again. Not all those cars can pass smog. That's for sure. read more

Run, I mean run from this dealership. Luckily, I read reviews before I buy most big ticket items. The salesmen are fast talking, and a word of advice for everyone, beware of fast talkers. I found what I thought was a great car there, but decided before I'd buy it to have it checked by a mechanic down the street. The mechanic, a super honest guy, said there was oil in the spark plugs and the head gasket needed to be replaced!!! And it needed $700 in other minor repairs- the rear brake rotors and other minor issues. The mechanic said he'd fix the oil problem for $500. When I went back and asked them to fix just the oil problem (Mendoza has its own mechanics) and I would purchase the car, the salesperson's attitude completely changed. He became somewhat hostile, because I exposed a bad car, and refused to fix it. All they had to do is fix it and they had a sale. I walked off feeling as though I dodged a bullet. Women and everyone be SURE if you go there to have your car checked before you buy from there. I have the feeling they are a very unscrupulous dealer. And by the way Mendoza, I'm not all over the place as you insulted a reviewer above, I'm a journalist and can put a sentence together. read more

My dad and I came here looking for 2 vehicle's, a year and a half ago. We wanted something around 4k-5k each and had cash. We were greeted by a middle eastern man, very friendly with my dad, took 3 or 4 cars for a test drive. My dad told the man that I would be coming back with my sister to show her the vehicles, as one would be for her. When I came back with my sister, the man that I spoke to earlier was extremely short and rude with us. He told us that we could only take 2 cars out, and no more, "THAT IS IT!" This was a great experience! I was shopping for a car for my teenaged daughters first car and went back a couple of times until we found a clean Toyota Prius ! She test drove it and decided that was the one.. I talked to both Chris and Jose who answered all my questions .. they showed me the receipt for the new battery that was replaced and told me they would do an oil change and top off all fluids the day I picked it up. The car was clean inside and out and fully checked by their mechanic.. they followed up with me after 2 weeks of purchasing it to ask if all was good with car. I was told to stop by anytime after 1 month of the purchase to recheck all fluid levels. Thank you guys for making this an easy purchase even though I was very nervous purchasing a used car for my 17 year old. Want to be sold a lemon car?? Well this is the place to go! Had bought a Scion tC from this dealership and in under a month of having the vehicle the whole engine blew up. Luckily I wasn't alone when this happened because I would've been alone then I would've been stranded over 100 miles away from home and would've had to push this car to the side of the road myself.
