I had a horrible experience with a return. Can't speak on the shopping experience. A particular customer service clerk was under the impression that my items needed to be returned to the other Menards location that I purchased them from. Apparently they don't carry the same items in all of the Menards locations. This is without the clerk consulting with a manager to make that final decision. I did have a receipt. I left, taking into consideration the line that was forming behind me. And the fact that she had told me to return them to the other store without an apology...So this caused me to have to pack up my items and trek to the other Menards, although I was already at Menards. They are about 18 Miles apart. Just poor customer service at this location. read more

Unbelievably bad experience. No one seems to know what they are selling or the prices of anything. Hard to find clerks in this mega store. One check out lane in gardening. Customer service manager very rude. Will not be shopping there any longer. Home Depot is much nicer to customers and way more helpful. This Menards needs new management ASAP read more

my 1st visit on 1-10-16 i checkout and proceed to my car. I find 3 shopping carts ahainst my car door and multiple dents. I inform the unapethic assistant manager Jaramie Fenimore who instructs the service desk associate to handle it. 5 days later their insurance company denies the claim because the carts were not in possession of an employee and it that it was due to the wind. Isnt keeping your parking lot clear of carts part of good customer service? It was also stated that the store was well staffed that day...yet their lot was full of carts rolling about. Lawyer has been retained and I will be filing a civil suit. read more

Twenty minutes on the phone while store associate is trained on responding to requested service. Trainer refused to get on phone so as to quickly handle my purchase. Customer service is lacking at Mernards on E. Broad Street, and after attempting to address my complaint with the "Assistant Store Manager," i can better understand the reason why their is poor quality service. Whereas, i appreciate that a store associate must undergo training, yet, twenty minutes on the phone is exhausting. read more

Today was the second time I shop here. I'm so happy with this place. Today I had to purchase blinds and the gentleman that help me was so friendly and helpful! Normally I love Home Depot and shop there for everything, but not anymore! Found what I needed and the pricing was way better then I thought it would be! I'm hooked!!!! read more

I rarely write negative reviews:however, I am frustrated time and time again when I visit the Menards at this location. I am always looking for things in the garden section and the fairly grumpy older man that works out there just said to me that all five things I needed were out of stock And then walked away. I felt like he could have said something else but now. I then felt like I was asking him the hardest questions for him in the world when I asked him when they would be back in stock. He then said he didn't know when they would be in again, if ever and then walked away from me again! I found that pretty annoying especially because I had to pull every word out of his mouth. Every time I go there for something I need in the garden section, it seems to be is out of stock where as it isn't at the other Menards store I go to on Morse road. One other time I called ahead to see if they had something and on the computer they said that they had it but then I got there and looked and looked and couldn't find it and asked to associates where it would be and they looked and couldn't find it and finally I looked way up towards the ceiling and there was a box of exactly what I had been looking for for the last hour. Later the employee just laughed and laaaaughed, and thought it was SO funny because he hasn't seen that stocked in probably six months. Normally I wouldn't care too much but I had wasted so much time and I can't believe I had to be the one to finally see it and I didn't even know where I was looking, it was just random luck. It just seems very unprofessionally run in general, Especially the garden section. Sorry garden man but you need to step up your game and a big way. The smile wouldn't hurt either. read more

Seems to be a theme with this store, the associates are apathetic and give attitude when you ask questions on stock availability if you're in the store (multiple locations). Phone calls are answered with gruff annoyed tones, I assume from getting interrupted from primary tasks. It is seriously hard to get anyone to assist, much less with a smile. Of course unless you are a cute girl and the assiciate tried to chat you up and get your phone number (different location.) I let a lot of things slide because I get it, retail is an awful job with a full variety of people to easily make or ruin your day. I try really hard to be polite to everyone especially when it is a faultless situation. That said, I do expect he be assisted without attitude or apathy and expect someone to at least attempt to help me with locating what i am looking for. Instead I drive 16 miles to find all 30 bags of what I have been looking for have now been sold out withing the time it took to race down to the location AND treated like a wart just for walking in the door and asking someone a question. I am severely disappointed and angry that both my time and fuel was wasted on this trip. I now face almost a 2 hour drive back thanks to traffic. I am actually beyond angry. I will never support this company by purchaing from them again. I am treated much nicer at Lowes, they at least offer to check additional stores for you if they don't have the stock available. Menards employees are AWFUL!!! read more

Gave it a try. Went in to get a few things after work. Hard to find anything because aisles are going in different directions and I couldn't figure out the store layout. An employee (I assumed) asked if he could help but as it turns out... was trying to sell me DirectTV. Such a turnoff! He kept pushing even after telling him I wasn't interested. After a long day at work, I want to get shopping done and go home - having to be assaulted by marketers makes it just too much. I will stick to Lowes. read more

If you get a new kitchen from this place make sure EVERY single thing is included in the contract. Everything! They promise you things then say "I never told you that" You also need to understand they use contractors to do the install. Getting the run around will be normal. Call menards and they blame the contractor who in turn blames menards. I repeat, get everything written in the contract. Start time, finish time, all parts they promise, lazy susan, cookie sheet cabinet. They will tell you this stuff is included then not include it. GET IT IN WRITING! read more

I was here for the first time on the Saturday before Christmas, shopping for a remodeling project. First let me say that I saw more employees in the aisles during this one trip to Menards than I have seen in my last 5 Home Depot visits combined. Every one of them was nice and helpful. I like the idea of the department stations they have, and you can see the names of the people working that area in real time. Staff in the electrical, plumbing and flooring departments were so knowledgeable, I was shocked. Actually shocked. I thought I had entered into some parallel home improvement dimension where everyone was working for me instead of against me. Their selections of some items (like bathroom vanities) seems much larger than Lowes and Home Depot. That could be because many of their brands seem to be unique to them. I do not, however, understand why they need their miscellaneous sundries and snacks area, that didn't fit in with the store, I thought. Even thought there is not a store near me, I will drive the extra miles to go to Menard's. read more

Not sure why but cant get anyone to answer the phone at this location. Last time I was in the store I waited for 20 min for a sales person to show up then she waited on someone that had just showed up and acted as though I was not even there. Time before ask a sales lady about a n item on sale and got barked at. Big change from when they first opened. read more
