Waited over 15 minutes to attempt to purchase a microwave while the one person in appliances was working with another customer. When i was finally acknowledged with "what do you want" ( not hello or sorry for your wait) i showed the clerk the item we wanted. Without a word he wondered back to hos screen and said he could have it in two weeks! Same thing on amazon delivered in two days fir the same money. I prefer ti shop where my business is appreciated and where i can recieve reasonable service. read more

Beyond disgusted and angry with how my family, specifically my disabled father was treated by the lady who answered the phone in Millwork (she would not give her name when we asked for it, and we know she didn't work in Millwork, but she answered the call) she should lose her job immediately! I won't go into to much detail because frankly it would be to long. My dad called at around 12:40 PM on Wednesday, October 21st, 2020, so if Management is reading this, please find out who this was! This "employee" told my dad that "I do not get paid enough to deal with complaints so if you have any issues related to why your delivery is late I suggest you call back and ask foe management, because I'm not going to be able to do a thing for you." Oh my dad then asked for her name one more time, and she literally laughed at him and then said "BYE!" And hung up the phone! Needless to say I was extremely angry how my disabled father was treated so I called the store right away and asked to speak with management, a young man named Zach answered the phone and was extremely helpful and very professional! Zack was literally the only saving grace in this situation, Had it not been for his professionalism and courtesy my parents would have taken their several thousand dollar order elsewhere. I will truly never understand how or why someone who works in customer service could still have a job after being so incredibly disrespectful and rude to someone! I don't really understand how they can sell you a wheel barrel that comes in different parts but they don't carry the complete set in stock. That does not keep them from selling it to you they don't seem to care about the whole customer service end of that equation. In the last year of redoing our home we have made about 20 ish trips to this specific Menards. Not a single time were they pleasant to work with. Always extremely rude and unhelpful. Our large purchases will never be bought through Menards solely for these reasons. read more

My husband and I frequent this particular Menards regularly...it is 15 minutes from our home and my husband is self employed, so we easily spend a good amount of money there every month. Today we went in to grab some bigger items. They were fairly busy, and we couldn't find any carts, so my husband went up to a couple of employees in the garden center and asked if we could borrow the cart they were unloading since there was only two bags of grass seed left on it, and they were just standing around chatting. The older lady barked at him "can't you see we're using it!" In a super bitchy tone. I understand that this place could be a stressful place to work when it's busy, but there is no need for that. The thing is, this is what the majority of our trips to this store are like.... employees avoid eye contact because they don't want to actually have to help you, and when they do, they are rude about it. We went to the Manager and he pretty much gave us the "I will into it" spiel and could not be done talking with us fast enough. We told him that is has been difficult to get friendly help in the past, and basically told us he did not believe us. We will be taking our business to Lowe's from now on. read more

We paid over $1,000 for shingles last Friday and today (1 week later) went to go pick them up. We were told they're out of stock then told someone already picked these up. They gave us a date and time then said they couldn't find this on the cameras. Convenient. We were there for well over 45 minutes trying to get help with no communication. Finally they said we don't know go to the Marion Menards. We spent 30 minutes driving to this menards then spent another 30 to drive to the other menards then 20 to drop these off and another 20 minutes home. Poor poor service. WHY does a hardware store have a Christmas section bigger than the tool section? This Menard's time and again- has not one employee around to direct you out of Christmas mayhem (or Easter or Valentine's or wutever) .... You have an identity crises Menards. If I need a lamp I will go to Target- if I need a hammer- I don't know where I should go? the grocery store? ....and the dingdong that designed your parking lot gets one star. read more

Went in to buy a front load washer and dryer. With the help of Frank in the appliance section, he helped us select a nice Whirlpool set that was within our price range. Got us all squared away and even had delivery and set up within 4 hours of purchasing it! Felt no pressure at all from Frank, he was very nice and helpful in helping us make our selection. Only thing I have a complaint about is after spending nearly $1700 in your store, free delivery would be nice. They'll get you an extra 50 for that if you don't have a truck. Ya know, customer service is the easiest thing that you can provide a customer but 95% of Menards employees seem to have forgotten how to be nice, polite and helpful. On numerous occasions I have walked around the store very clearly lost, but it seemed if I tried to approach a staff member, they would almost run the other direction. I have come to this store since I was a kid helping my dad with DIY home improvement projects and boy has it changed. As much as I hate to say it, this seems to be worse on account of me being female. No one wants to take the time to help someone that might, god forbid, ask questions. Most recently, I did an in store pick up and was treated poorly on the phone, by the gentleman at customer service, sent to walk ALL the way to the back of the store alone to find the tiny "pick up" sign, stood there for 13 minutes while 8 people walked by refusing to make eye contact, waited another 15 minutes while the young man went to get my item and then not told if I still had to check out or if I was free to go. I hope this location improves in the near future because I love Menards.... But for the time being, I will try to take my business elsewhere. read more

If this allowed me to put a 0 for their doors and window section I would have chosen that. They do not stand behind the products they sell. Our contractor put 3 Jeld Wen windows in our house. The first one cracked within the first year. The 2nd one cracked 8 years later. One left so counting down the days until it cracks too. The first day I called I gave the information and was told they needed to speak to a supervisor. The 2nd day after not hearing anything I called back I gave the same information and was told to get the information from the window and sounded like would be covered. The 3rd day I called and was told that was not covered. I felt like was given the run-around and that they do not stand behind the worthless windows they sell to their contractors.
