Yes there were a decent amount of clothes, but not much quality, good condition, or nicer brands. The staff were friendly when I walked in! Most clothes are $4 or less. Books were 0.50 or 0.25. The store itself kind of blends into the dollar tree next door, but it is there!

Finally get to update my Bills Brothers review from 7 years ago!…read more This place was hopping on a Saturday afternoon. I suspect everyone was out spending their stimulus checks and tax refunds. The parking lot was nearly full. My husband and I are closing on our new home in 2 weeks, and I thought we should check-out Bills Bros for a dining table. 10 years ago I had great luck here furnishing my home; I still have most of the furniture to this day. Bills didn't deliver on the dining table, but they did have a lot of great accent furniture at very reasonable prices. Think accent chairs, lamps, bar stools, end tables, walls decor and throw pillows. Once we're moved in I might come back and look around again. Sales staff are friendly and not at all pushy. Available if you have questions. Lots of clearance items and one-offs. I saw a new-in-box Barbie Dream House for $129.99 that my 10-yr. old self squealed over. You just never know what you might find here! No frills here, but the selection is nice. Recommend!

They do have other smaller household decor, like lamps, coffee tables/side tables, clocks, and the like. Love this place. I was finally able to visit the Goodwill Outlet Store in CR over the weekend. If…read moreyou're familiar with Cedar Rapids, the Outlet is in part of the former Klein Tools building on the SW side near the airport. Big, clean, open shopping space. Blue 'boats' cover the sales floor and are filled with all kinds of items. Gloves are required in order to dig through the bins. You can bring your own, or buy them at the Outlet for $1.99/each. Wonder why gloves are required? Your safety, of course. A new boat is rolled out every 30minutes (I believe). We had arrived a little after 4pm (closing is at 5pm) on Saturday and the last boat had just been rolled out. Don't assume that the boats are full of stuff the local stores didn't want - that isn't the case. I'm not sure how the boats are originally organized, but by the time the day is over clothing is mixed in with housewares. Books and cds/dvds stayed relatively separate from all other items. There are lots of great things to be found including higher-end shoes like Cole Hahn, Puma, Nike, Adidas, vinyl records, great books, etc. Merchandise is sold by the pound at $1.49/lb. If you have a heavy item and are curious about the cost, there is a self-service scale available for customers to use. Employees can put a pile of your items on their counter scale, or roll your entire cart onto the freight scale. Furniture is priced individually, but I didn't see any on the sales floor when we visited. The person I was with said they had never seen the boats so 'light.' Maybe donations are down right now. I definitely plan to come back in a few weeks, but a few hours earlier. Most customers and all employees were wearing masks, which I really appreciated. If you want to sift through each bin it will take all day. Restrooms available, shopping carts, a nice vending area (because you'll really need a snack 2 hours in). Check-out is similar to Aldi, in that there is a counter where you can bag or box your items before leaving. Employees don't bag. There are bags and boxes available for customers to use, but I'm sure you can bring along your own. Very friendly staff. Parking lot can get cramped when busy, and a small lounge area for sitting would be nice so shoppers could take a break without having to go back out to their cars. We left with a shopping cart full including books for $35. One of the top places in Eastern Iowa to find a good deal. Highly recommend.

This location shopping wise is not bad. Have a lot of good selections, and organized. However,…read moredonations can be VERY BUSY specially on weekends. And the SEASONAL hours to me is pointless. It is confusing, it doesn't matter if they will leave their normal hours as is. I spoke to one of the employees and according to him A LOT of stores disagree with this changed. But the higher ups does not care about their employees. Besides, they do not get paid that much. For a non-profit company they should pay their employees more. They really don't much in the community besides finding jobs. Other Goodwills around the US do more, or Salvation Army does more to the community than Goodwill. And what is up with this thing NEW GOODS? Prices are so ridiculous for cheap looking stuff.
