I needed upgraded kitchen countertops. After vetting several fabricators, I decided to go with Mena and I wasn't disappointed. Liz was my point of contact through out the process of selection and installation. Liz provided a wealth of info on my options. After deciding on granite and a color, Liz sent a quote with several options. Unfortunately, the slab I wanted didn't work out; however, Liz personally went to the wholesaler and insisted they thoroughly search for an acceptable slab. Well she found it!....to the dismay of those having to rearrange other slabs to get it. Next, Liz scheduled, and then re-scheduled its installation (due to a personal issue on my part). Jose and 2 others performed the demo of the old countertop and installed the new one. The fit was great! And they cleaned up afterwards. We chose Mena Stone Surfaces for our kitchen countertop upgrade based solely on all the reviews we read here and on the web--we were not disappointed and are so happy we went with Lizette and her company. After we met in person for the initial consultation with Lizette at her office for the thorough and honest explanation of our options we decided to move forward with replacing our "builder's grade" granite countops with beautiful Taj Majal Quartzite. Our job would be challenging for the installation team--our existing stone mosaic tile backsplash had to be preserved and it was laid on the existing granite. We also had professionally painted cabinets that needed protection and care during demolition and installation. We are beyond impressed with Jose, Pete and Mike: They were so careful and accomplished what we all thought might be impossible--no damage whatsoever to our existing backsplash and a just a spot or two of extremely minor paint dings. As an optional part of our project, we decided to upgrade our sink to a large single-bowl type and our Mena-supplied plumber Armando did a fantastic job of helping to reduce our under-sink plumbing footprint according to my wishes when he installed an upgraded garbage disposal unit. JUST WOW! It's been a long time since I've been this impressed with a company's product, service, and employees. Yes, our new granite counters are beautiful, but (the amazing) Lizette and her crew's service blew us away! Truly professional, they knew what they were talking about, no shortcuts, and they were punctual every day... no, really! We have a fairly large kitchen with lots of surface angles. In fact, it took four long days to complete (morning until night) Something was bound to go wrong and we were ready for it. It never ever happened. When they finished each work day, they cleaned and vacuumed the floor and cabinets, and took their trash with them. As you probably know, this is basically unheard of in today's service world. I cannot say enough good things about Mena Stone Surfaces. Their quality workmanship, attention to detail, and overall service were impressive and frankly "refreshing" to say the very least. We decided to redo the kitchen; we're replacing all the appliances and converting the counters from formica to quartz. The ladies at Mena Stone were the first to respond, and we loved that they both wore masks and were careful. I'm 68, and have a compromised immune system, so this was very important to me. We liked their materials, and their pricing looked pretty good too. Unfortunately, they weren't able to do the complete job, so we had to hire someone else. We needed a granite countertop on one small kitchen cabinet and were initially worried that the job would be "too small" for some companies. We made an appointment with Mena Stone Surfaces and met with the owner, Liz Mena. Liz was patient, informative, and took to the time to help me and my wife. Liz showed us some different granite they had on site and we picked one. Later, our installer was giving us doubts on how we wanted to set up the kitchen cabinet (as an Island). After talking to Liz about our confusion with the installer, she personally came to our house, saw the setup and reassured us that it would all work out. She scheduled delivery right away and the installers were great and very professional. The personal attention we got from the owner, Liz, was amazing. Most companies won't even let you talk to a supervisor, much less an owner. Remember, my job was a small job (one small piece for one small cabinet), but Liz treated us like it was a multi thousand dollar job. Obviously, no job is to big or small for this company. We recently had new countertops and backsplash installed by Mena Stone Surfaces. Mid project, termites were discovered!! I am so thankful that we decided to do this little kitchen re-do, not only because had we not, who knows how much damage the termites would have caused...but the whole process from start to finish was so enjoyable - seamless! Lizette understands customer service and stayed in contact with me throughout the project. It's so easy to have miscommunication when you're doing projects like this but Lizette understands how to communicate well...something of a lost art these days. Jose and Noe and the rest of the crew were professional, personable and efficient. They showed up when they said they would and did the work that was expected. They cleaned up when they were done - REALLY cleaned up!! Everything was just perfect and it looks beautiful. The tile job is perfection! I can't say enough about how perfect the tile is.
