High 3 star for Memo's... Visited late Saturday morning as it was starting to quiet down after the morning rush... Place was a typical breakfast joint but had some oddities, like the cheap pictures of their food posted throughout their dining area... Seemed a little low budget and unnecessary... How bout the food? Outstanding! I had the Chilaquiles, Christmas style with eggs over medium and chorizo added on... It was a helluva way to start the day! The chips held up nicely in the green and red sauces, which seemed fresh and loaded with flavor... The eggs were fine, the cohita cheese was good, and the chorizo was also very good but could have used a little more of it... They serve it up with a toasted bread (not like sliced toast, more like a garlic bread without the garlic) that was also very good... Here's what I didn't like... The wait! It took almost a half hour to get our food, and we had already passed the breakfast rush and it was closer to lunchtime than breakfast anymore... They also didn't have hollandaise sauce for their eggs Benedict which was I wanted to order originally... Saturday morning and no hollandaise sauce? C'mon man... All and all it was a pretty decent experience... They had some hiccups but the food was good enough to offset that for the most part... If they can speed up service a bit, this place would be awesome! First time trying the restaurant and I was not disappointed. My boyfriend had the taco omelette with rice and beans, I had a bite of his beans and they were amazing. I had chilaquiles and scrambled eggs, surprisingly tasted good together. And the best part they use crema not sour cream. Lots of good choices definitely will go there again. I ordered the Chirizo scrambled eggs with hash browns that came with three tortillas. It was good; the hash browns were not crispy but well cooked. My wife had the senior omelet with hash brown potatoes and toast. She said the omelet was slightly overcooked. Memo's popped up and thank goodness someone shared a picture of their Chorizo omelet - because we both decided to go with it instead. It was absolutely amazing and flavorful. Over time, IMO, Memo's Kitchen has gone down hill as far as food quality goes & yet prices just go up-up-up! $2.65 for a cup of coffee & $2 for a can of soda pop. Crazy! And, the clincher ... nearly every plate gets put in the microwave before going out to the customer. Even omelettes! Plus, the seating is extremely uncomfortable. I'd say it is 3 1/2 stars but I'll round up to 4. The wife and I went here after church. She likes standard "breakfast food." I always like something spicier,etc. and I love Mexican breakfast. Memo's had both which is a nice setup for us. He has a variety of Mexican breakfasts and I had the Chilaquiles and eggs. She had pancakes, eggs, bacon, and sausage. Both were nicely done. The service was attentive. My coffee cup never went dry! I suspect we may go here after church a little more often. read more

¡Las mejores chilaquiles en todo El Medford! It's the one breakfast item in Mexico that I miss the most. It's no Truco Siete en Guanajuato, but it's damn close! Both red and green are delicious. Authentic and true to how Mexican breakfasts are served in Mexico. I've also tried the Enchilas Suizas. Bomb-O! This place is not to be confused with the lot of Amerixican restaurants in this town that claim authenticity. The food is always fresh and the staff have always been super polite and professional. I highly recommend it to anyone that needs to satisfy their souls yearning to be south of the boarded. For those of you that aren't Mexican foodies, they also offer regular ole American breaky. I presume it's good too. If I ever peel myself from them chilaquiles, I'll update this and let you know Hats off to Memo's! read more

Quick lunch, only soup they had was Meatball. I went for it and I am so glad I did! The REALLY GREAT waitress found out what was in it for me first, she was so nice! My son found the place on Yelp and after reading the reviews we decided to take the plunge and we sure are glad we did! Horrendous. Nothing but can sauces with extremely high salt. I got the chile key less and I regret it. Canned enchilada sauce so salty you can't taste anything else with that precooked extremely salty chicken over top. Pretty much inedible with the level of salt. read more

I totally love this place. My Mom died in 2012 and I didn't pay attention to her Mexican type meals before she passed. Memo is the closest I have come to my Mom. My Dad and I go there on a regular basis. We love everything. Well, almost everything. I don't like chilaquiles. Never have. My favorite item's are the Ahogado Burrito with everything inside, Chile Verde Omelette, Chile Relleno Omelette, Chorizo scramble or Omelette. Just to name a few of my favorites. They are now open for dinner and I love the Chicken and Mole. Haven't tried all the dinner items yet. My Dad says the liver & onions are the best for him. Best wait staff ever!!! I know them all by name. Even the new wait staff for dinner. By the way the beans are made with butter instead of lard. I am not a refried bean person but I do like these ones and will eat the beans. read more

I was there a week or so ago, and was kind of disappointed. The prices were not great and the portions left a lot to be desired. I guess they are not doing as well as they thought they would with serving dinner as they starting closing at 1700 instead of 2100. It's a shame, as the waitress was very pleasant and attentive. Huevos Rancheros were absolutely delicious....perfectly cooked eggs, great red sauce, hot tortillas, and a nice tasty salsa verde that was clearly homemade. Let's not forget the beans--plenty of those. Fantastic and attentive service with a smile--they promise this to you on their menu, and they live up to their promise. Well done. See? It's not so hard people. Coffee was poor--my only advice would be to get another coffee vendor. Still, it was quaffable. I got an omelet I forgot what it's called but had sausage and jalepenos, onion, cheese, chile verde Smith with rice and beans served with tortillas sooo yummy! Great breakfasts! I've been there several times. I've always tried something new each time and I've never been disappointed. I had the peach waffle special today and it was amazing!! I'll break my "try something new" approach and have the peach special again if it's available. On a friends recommendation, I stopped OMW down from WA-SOCAL, had the typical American breakfast w/ French toast and also tried the chilaquiles w/ green sauce. Loved the food! And such friendly service. We skipped the continental breakfast on our way back up to have breakfast here. Definitley worth it. Authentic food and genuine staff. Just had breakfast here. We are new in town and checking out all the great dining places in the Rogue Valley. Our waitress (wish I had gotten her name) was fabulous. The service could not have been better. She was very attentive and my coffee cup was never less than half empty. My wife had huevos rancheros and I had chiliquiles. Both were delicious and their homemade hot salsa was hot and delicious! Definitely a return spot for us and we want to try more of their breakfast offerings. read more

We went for breakfast Nothing had flavor. The eggs poblano were literally swimming in a watery 'sauce'. I asked for salsa instead of Tabasco and was served colored water. The beans were served cold. When I got them back they were good but plain. The rice was unseasoned. The owner stood ominously behind the register I suppose he was 'supervising' but he did not smile or greet anyone and he did not ask anyone if they enjoyed their meal. Weird in my opinion. I was excited to use my treasure chest coupon and was extremely disappointed. I am not a very picky person but the wait time was 30 minutes to get our food ( I had my 2 boys with me). I ordered them milk shakes ($5) and when I tasted it..it was basically chocolate milk. I ordered the rancheros meal and was digusted with the soggy tortilla that my (box made) scrambled eggs were placed on with their (home made) salsa that taste like water. No flavor with my food and a lousy 10% tip to invite us back. Not to mention the size of the establishment was worse than a government office. Never will go back or recommend. read more
