We didn't feel overcharged for anything, and she didn't try to sneak in extra costs (like I've heard of other decor vendors doing!) - we agreed on a price for things and a budget, and she stuck to it. In fact, she doesn't deposit the check until after the wedding and we've given her confirmation that everything went as expected. As for her personality, we found her very easy to talk to and work with, and overall just super friendly. She works hard, and she goes above and beyond for a couple, like coming to our house to pick up things and return things. I was able to DIY certain pieces and they were super helpful with giving me recommendations on what would look nice as a DIY piece with the rest of the decor and then made sure to set it up properly the day of the wedding. A few weeks before the wedding Manya informed me that the Urlis that I had rented were fully damaged and she was not sure if she would be able to provide another one. But within 24 hours, she guaranteed that she would get the fully remade at her own cost and would make sure they were ready for my event. She went above and beyond for me and did everything she could to limit the amount of stress on me as we got closer to the events. Not a lot of vendors go out of their way to use their team to help with other aspects of the wedding. Her whole team was super helpful and assisted with coordinating with the venue and they took on all the work to flip the venue from wedding to reception. All the furniture that was brought to the venue was not only decorated by Manya's team but they also set up all the furniture themselves. I had a blast working with Vanessa during the events, she is really there to make sure that everything looks beautifully. She understood what I was looking for the events and completely got the aesthetic I was going for. The team that was there to set up was so accommodating and I could really tell they were there to make sure we were happy with their execution and delivery. Their work is truly remarkable and A LOT of hard work. These people worked tirelessly to give us everything we need on our big day, WHILE still being the most humble and friendly people to work with. Being based in Seattle and planning an Indian wedding with fusion multicultural elements in Los Angeles, reaching out to a Bay Area based wedding planning team felt like a leap of faith, but we couldn't have made a better decision. We began working with Behl 10 months before our August 2025 wedding, and Anjali's expertise immediately shifted wedding planning from utter chaos into organized process. The relief I felt after our first meeting was palpable, and my confidence in the team only grew as we saw the depth of knowledge and organization they would provide. Anjali made the planning process so seamless as she helped us put words to our ideas, guided us through vendor selection (with an incredible database full of vetted selections), and kept our planning timeline on track. I only got to see glimpses of them in full force because they were all covering so many duties with grace and professionalism (and incredible speed - one of my highlights of the day was watching Anjali sprint from one end of the venue to the other to manage traffic around the baraat processional). They made magic happen for us, our families, and our guests. When my saree blouse zipper broke as I was supposed to be getting ready, I didn't even have the time to be stressed about it because Anjali returned with the blouse fully fixed with a new zipper within 30 minutes. My bridal attendant, Riya, helped me switch between my wedding heels and crocs no less than 1000 times during the day (while ensuring I had my lip combo on as I hydrated). I had emailed this vendor initially because I liked their work on Instagram. They responded back to me and recommended that I come in so they could show me what they had to offer. I said for the upcoming month, but I didn't set a specific date. Within the next few weeks, I hired a wedding coordinator who also recommended this vendor because they were local (because you gotta support your local businesses, guys). My wedding coordinator set up a meeting at their banquet hall & I met up with them. I went into that initial meeting with the mindset of definitely hiring this vendor for home decor at my residence, my fiancé's residence, and our wedding. I had a specific wedding white mandap that I had in mind, and I asked if they had it. They didn't. Raja said to me that can get in contact with some people and he would let me know about my inquiry and he also said that they're getting some new pieces in as well. I left that meeting in a positive note, I was so happy that I could check off booking Decor Vendor on my wedding to do list. I followed up with Raja a week later after our initial meeting, no response. A second week later I also texted them again, at this moment I was pretty much irritated because of the lack of communication. A single message of acknowledgment would've been good enough for me, BUT HOMEBOY LEFT ME ON READ. All they needed to say is "we're still working on it" or "hey, we're having trouble getting what you inquired about", and I would have picked something else.
