There is no possible way to overstate how truly amazing and instrumental the team from Behl Events was in helping plan and execute our wedding with perfection! Being based in Seattle and planning an Indian wedding with fusion multicultural elements in Los Angeles, reaching out to a Bay Area based wedding planning team felt like a leap of faith, but we couldn't have made a better decision. We began working with Behl 10 months before our August 2025 wedding, and Anjali's expertise immediately shifted wedding planning from utter chaos into organized process. The relief I felt after our first meeting was palpable, and my confidence in the team only grew as we saw the depth of knowledge and organization they would provide. What really stood out to us about the planning process was how both Risha and Anjali were so proactive with the fine details! Whether it be about how the timeline should be adjusted to include a snack break inbetween baraat and ceremony or how we could set up our welcome table with all of our desired elements, they both always had creative ideas and a solution for a problem (even if it hadn't happened yet). But however impressed we already were with the team, they truly blew us away on the actual day of. There wasn't a single moment throughout the entire ceremony and reception where my (now) husband and I were stressed or concerned about anything because the Behl coordination team took care of it all. I only got to see glimpses of them in full force because they were all covering so many duties with grace and professionalism (and incredible speed - one of my highlights of the day was watching Anjali sprint from one end of the venue to the other to manage traffic around the baraat processional). They made magic happen for us, our families, and our guests. When my saree blouse zipper broke as I was supposed to be getting ready, I didn't even have the time to be stressed about it because Anjali returned with the blouse fully fixed with a new zipper within 30 minutes. My bridal attendant, Riya, helped me switch between my wedding heels and crocs no less than 1000 times during the day (while ensuring I had my lip combo on as I hydrated). Risha not only acted as our personal bodyguard during our reception so we could eat a little bit of dinner, she also somehow procured a glass of mango lassi after it was done being served for my sister, who missed cocktail hour. We had so many guests note on how smooth the event was run and particularly how incredibly kind the entire team was throughout the day, and we couldn't agree more. Working with Anjali was truly one of the best decisions we made for our elopement celebration! From day one, she brought a calm, organized presence that helped guide us through a tight timeline (less than 6 months) and a big budget shift. We had the pleasure of working with both Nupur and Anjali for our Summer 2024 wedding. Our wedding weekend was an absolute dream, and we definitely have them to thank for it. We chose the full planning package for our haldi, sangeet, ceremony, and reception. We contacted Behl Events in mid January of 2023. We had just gotten engaged. We wanted help planning our multiday Hindu Indian wedding for the upcoming fall. We reached out to a few different planners and Nupur understood our needs and asked the right questions. We knew that the staff at Behl Events were well experienced in Bay Area Indian weddings. Nupur set us up with Anjali as our main planner. We opted for the full service planning package. Now, planning our wedding was no easy feat. We had a very short time frame. Planning started in earnest in March and our wedding date was set to be early September. Anjali was able to step up to the challenge and meet with us frequently to make it all happen. My husband and I selected Nupur for the partial planning package about 1.5 years before our wedding. We had interviewed many planners before her but once we spoke with her, we knew that we HAD to work with Nupur - she has a very upbeat, can-do, and efficient outlook on the planning process that aligned well with our personalities & priorities. And we are so happy she was available! Looking back on it, we should have picked Nupur even before finding our venue; the nominal monetary increase would have been well worth it to save us the stress of venue hunting alone. From our first meeting, Nupur did a great job of providing us a prioritized list of tasks that we should focus on at the right point in time. She was respectful & mindful of our budget and provided a great amount of design input when we just wanted something to "look nice" but weren't sure how to get there. She did a nice job of managing input from our very vocal family members who cared a lot about specific elements of the wedding. She was also a great guide when were deciding which vendors to partner with - and with a wedding that was one full week long, there were A LOT of vendors. Nupur particularly shined in this department when we were 60 days out from the wedding. Then on the days of our wedding events, Nupur, Anjali, and their assistants were very kind and good at organizing our guests in an orderly fashion, allowing us to be fully present. Our wedding planner, Nupur from Behl Events, was the single reason our wedding was so much fun and was low stress and enjoyable - not only on the day of but also throughout the entire 1.5 year wedding planning process. Nupur expertly guided my now-husband and I through every single step of the wedding planning process, from what to consider when selecting a venue, to selecting our many other vendors and what questions we should ask them as we got to know them, to how to structure the weekend in a way that was unique and meaningful to us. We both have very busy jobs and priorities other than wedding planning and Nupur went above and beyond to make sure we were moving at the right pace and not running out of options or missing something important (our weekly wedding planning calls and her running action items documentation would put even the best project managers to shame). Nupur was so much more than just an incredible wedding planner, where we trusted her with every small logistic and got to a place where we trusted her to just make small decisions for us (like the linens and cutlery where she could tell we didn't care what was chosen so she was able to reduce the decision making burden for us and make elegant, tasteful decisions on our behalf). Nupur also helped us manage our emotions- before our bachelor and bachelorette parties, Nupur texted us reminding us to be present and to really make sure we enjoyed the moment. Nupur also led on negotiations and requesting concessions from vendors, which enabled us to stay in budget while also not sacrificing anything we really wanted from the weekend. The biggest example of Nupur helping us manage our emotions was that a few days before our wedding day, we saw that it was going to rain on the big day. Since our wedding was outside, we had to scramble to come up with a rain plan; Nupur not only led the conception of a rain plan that would help us keep our original vision for the day, but also cheered us up and reminded us that we were doing everything we could to keep guests warm and dry other than learning how to control the weather. The day the tents were being set up for our ceremony, Nupur noticed a pole was going to be in the middle of the aisle and block everyone's view of us on the mandap (Indian altar) so she helped us negotiate so that we could have an aisle with no poles blocking anyone's path (we wouldn't even have noticed it because we didn't have time to go to the ceremony site to check on the tent set up). Nupur also was so respectful to our families and their wishes to be a part of the wedding planning process; she patiently walked our parents through the timeline numerous times so that they were in the right place at the right time and were able to truly enjoy the weekend and feel their cultures reflected throughout. My wife and I are creatives through and through and wanted to have a hand in everything from designing our outfits, to selecting all the little elements of decor, to setting light cues for our dance, to hand making all of our stationery. BUT with all of that creativity comes a lot of executive dysfunction and ADHD. Stir that up with chronic pain, anxiety, and autism and you've got a recipe for disaster if you don't have the right person guiding you through the process. Anjali was extremely aware and accommodating of our needs -- from creating sensory friendly spaces for me so that I don't get overstimulated, building in breaks so that we can rest and decompress, communicating every singly pain management need and technique to her assistants so that I could get through one of the most busy weekends of my life, and creating micro-deadlines and co-working time for the three of us to get tasks done without getting overwhelmed or over procrastinating. We also worked closely with her to ensure that the event would be accessible to all disabled folx and elders, autistic friends and family members, and children. She understood exactly what we wanted in terms of creating a safe space for everyone in attendance. Anjali also understands queerness and transness intrinsically. She helped us navigate through gender free lingo for our ceremony, ensuring that all vendors had the correct pronouns and titles (we chose Bride & Bloom), checking in on preferred bathrooms, etc. She also helped me pace myself as I made decisions around which Hindu traditions resonated with me and my queerness and which didn't, and held space for all of our questions while we worked with our wedding steward to write the ceremony. It is not easy to jump into a fusion wedding that embraces several different traditions and make it feel like it is exactly how weddings should feel. She made our wedding a wedding... We didn't think it could feel as official and communal and rooted until we connected with her about what we wanted to feel from this process. During the final weeks of the wedding planning process, we were hit with the terrifying news that it might rain in Bay Area/Wine Country during our outdoor Wedding and Sangeet. She held space for our anxiety and ensured that we didn't overdo researching alternatives. She pretty much took over and told us to go have a nice week and relax. We needed that. I'd like to think that she was responsible for it not raining during our wedding weekend too because of her warm, radiant, sunshine energy, but I know that even in rain, she would have made it an amazing event. Her team of assistants (Risha, Nupur, and Priya) were also incredible. Priya was assigned as our personal assistant for both events and did everything from feed us while we had our make up done, to making sure we had the medication we needed, to handing me my cane or my walker as needed. She also prepped all of my pain tools and packed them so that I didn't have that added worry. What's more, with a catering team that was hours late and missing linens, the entire planning team jumped into gear and improvised schedule shifts and worked to piece together linens that they did have to make the decor look perfect. Working with Anjali has seriously taught us so much about the support we are allowed to have. Weddings are STRESSFUL y'all and they will be no matter what, but if you work with a planning team that holds some of that stress for you, you can actually focus on your love, your community, and your celebration read more
