Brownie Magic = a warm skillet filled with gooey brownies, topped with a scoop of vanilla gelato, fresh strawberries, and three kinds of Belgian chocolate (milk, dark & white ) Also got the Dubai Chocolate Strawberry Cup layered with pistachios, strawberries, and chocolate: dessert heaven ‍ 5/5 Chocolate lovers' dream come true + perfect late-night spot (open till 12AM!) Was needing a pick me up from sitting in Chicago traffic and was asked to stop by Melt N Dip, a local gelato shop. Melt N Dip is a hidden gem with wonderful gelato to fit any pallet including vegans. Prices were reasonable as well as fresh products. Had several samples before going with pistachio and chocolate gelato and didn't regret it. This is a great family spot to enjoy fresh gelato or other delicious dessert. Will be back!

My favorite dessert place! Their desserts are all so good and there are a lot of fruit options with their chocolate is so sinfully creamy. My favorite thing about this place is that they have fresh fruit juices that you can order it's fresh pressed juices and my favorite is the Apple sometimes I do mix the apple and the orange. Will definitely keep coming back to this place and it's a perfect place to chill and hang out with friends and also a good thing about them is they are open late. Happy eating!

Came here just after lunch hour on a Saturday. They were open and doing some cleaning. There is something about the Feng Shui of the place tdoesn't look as inviting. I ordered my usual Dubai Strawberry cup and it was made and delivered to my satisfaction.

I Ordered the signature crepe ! Never disappoints yummy the ambiance is good too Would recommend this

This place is a chocolate lover's dream. We tried their signature waffle with all three chocolate sauces and four fruits -- absolutely decadent and so worth it. The waffle was crisp and warm, and the sauces (dark, milk, and white chocolate) were rich, velvety, and perfectly drizzled. The fruit added just the right amount of freshness to balance it all out. Also got the Kinder Bueno ice cream -- soooo good. Creamy, indulgent, and packed with that signature Kinder flavor. Everything looked and tasted amazing. Cute spot with a fun vibe, and definitely one to revisit when you're in the mood for a serious dessert fix.

My fiancé and I have been traveling around illinois to find the best Dubai Strawberries, so far we've tried sugar dose and this place. We ordered two large Dubai cups and it was a whopping $44.48, super pricey in my opinion. I wasn't a fan of it because the strawberries were too tart, the pistachio cream and chocolate was overwhelmingly thick and left my mouth needing a lot of water. I most likely won't come back because it's pricey and I wasn't too crazy about it.

This spot is pure indulgence! Crepes, cakes, gelato, cookies and more, all topped with so much chocolate you can't tell what's under it anymore. I had the lotus crepe. It's so rich and delicious! This is definitely a special treat kind of place. The desserts make for an impressive picture as well, or its "gram worthy" as the kids say (I think, I'm not "with it"). My downsides would be that it's a bit pricy (but definitely worth it) and I'd like to see some utensil upgrades. Glass water bottles but Styrofoam cups, real plates but plastic silverware, it's just disjointed. My fork actually broke off in my crepe but thankfully I found the broken piece. All in all I loved my food and I'll definitely be back to try more desserts.

I've been to two other locations of Melt n Dip before, but this was my boyfriend's first time at one. Their menu is huge: so many dessert options! We got the Brownies Magic: a brownie in a mini skillet topped with chocolate sauce, ice cream, Magic Shell and strawberries. I was glad for the strawberries to cut the richness of all the chocolate, but overall this was delicious, and good to share. We also got shakes to go: Oreo for him, pistachio for me. Yum! I love pistachio and you don't see it in a shake all that often. Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs and we couldn't finish them even over the course of the night, but so good. Overall, I'm glad more locations of this place are popping up! A great option for drinks and desserts.

Was NOT an AWEsome experience. Couldn't decide what to get everything looked delicious so we took some time to look at the menu. When we were ready finally the Cashier was busy flirting instead of taking our order. Dude kept yapping his mouth and she kept entertaining it..what ever just do it after my order PLEASE. They got good music, water ready so that's a plus. Don't get me wrong crepe is delicious but idk if I'd go out of my way after that experience.

Dubai strawberry cup but the register lady with the hijab at around 10:40-10:50pm asked me if I was feeling demonic!!!

The Dubai strawberry cup is phenomenal. Although, when I went in with my girlfriend the girl at the register wearing the hijab around 10:40- 10:50pm last night asked me "don't you feel demonic", I even repeated this to her saying "what?? Demonic??" And she said "oh nevermind", I found this to be extremely distasteful and rude. I just came for some Dubai strawberries not no comments about religion or anything of the sort. This was extremely uncalled for.

Walking in, the place has such a great vibe! It's super popular, which explains why the tables and chairs were a little messy they were really slammed! But don't worry, the food prep area was spotless. The staff were amazing seriously hustling to keep up with all the orders. Except for the person sitting and taking orders at the counter he had a very poor attitude. can we talk about the gelato? Right there by the counter, with tons of flavors! They also do espresso it looked divine, so I'll definitely be trying that next time. What really caught my eye were the chocolate fountains! Milk chocolate, white chocolate, and dark chocolate all beautifully covered to keep everything clean and fresh. They had a huge selection of cones and cups too. We ordered a Banana Cinnamon Crepe Pouch stuffed with their Melt n Dip cream, banana, and cinnamon, and drizzled with milk, dark, and white chocolate. It was SO good, but maybe a bit much sugar if you eat the whole thing! We also tried the Dubai strawberry cups a little pricey, but those strawberries were unbelievably sweet and delicious. Overall, the food and atmosphere were fantastic. The only thing was the tables and chairs could use a little more attention, but again, they were super busy. I'd definitely recommend checking it out!

This place is a sweet tooth's dream. I got the melt n dip crepe with strawberries. Yes it is quite on the pricier side BUT the amount of strawberries that was inside this crepe truly made it worth the price. My husband doesn't like overly sweet things and he was pleasantly surprised that the chocolate wasn't that overpowering. It was just the right amount with the crepe. There was a large group in front of us that got their food served by the people that work there. Ours on the other hand got served by a robot and it was actually kind of entertaining to watch the robot try to navigate the space around people, table and chairs. It is a huge place so plenty of seating to hangout with friends. Definitely will be back to satisfy more of my sweet cravings!

A nostalgic trip down memory lane capped off with the perfect French repas!…read more After a morning annual doctor visit and purchasing new shoes (several!  lol), I sought out a savory, romantically tantalizing culinary escape to cap off the beautiful day and enjoy the extraordinary weather.  La Crêperie was the absolute perfect choice. I have frequented this beloved space since I was 16 years old, and stepping inside always brings back the most wonderfully endearing and captivating memories.  Being an empath, I naturally and deeply feel people, their energies, and the layers of memories attached to a place.  These romantic, lovely emotions are drawn to me repeatedly as I encounter these historic spaces and the familiar people within. This historic Lincoln Park/Lakeview border gem has such a quaint, enchanting, and delicate French bistro atmosphere that remains beautifully unchanged.  Sitting down to take in the vintage Parisian charm with the front bifold windows open, letting in the gentle evening breeze, was pure bliss. The food was absolutely sensational.  We started with the classic Escargots (snails prepared in a rich garlic butter sauce), the Assiette de Pates (a wonderful sampling of three distinct pates served traditionally with cornichons and dijon mustard), two Salade Maison plates (crisp romaine lettuce, parmesan cheese, and crunchy croutons all tossed in their delicious house vinaigrette maison), and a bowl of their rich French onion soup. For our main courses, I had the exquisite Fruits de Mer crêpe (a luscious, delicious, and creamy crêpe packed with scallops and shrimp in a béchamel sauce) while my companion thoroughly enjoyed the Boeuf Bourguignon crêpe (tender beef braised with burgundy, mushrooms, carrots, and celery). We then finished the evening by splitting two sweet crêpes for dessert.  We ordered one customized crêpe filled half with strawberries and half with bananas (a simple, perfect classic combo with whipped cream on top that I have been getting for years), alongside La Pomme (delicious apples sautéed in butter and cinnamon).  Everything was beautifully prepared and exactly the kind of comforting yet tantalizing culinary experience I was craving to celebrate a successful day. Our incredibly sweet server, Anastasiia, accidentally brought two bowls of soup, but despite my repeated insistence to pay, she firmly and graciously comped the extra one. Between the excellent dishes, Anastasiia's stellar service, the vintage charm, and the spectacular weather, it was the ultimate way to top off my afternoon.  It truly provided a gentle, delicate, and beautifully feminine cap to my day, balancing the romantically sensual energy of this beloved space. I highly recommend stopping by for an authentic taste of Parisian charm right here in the city!

Super cute restaurant. Feels very cozy. Got the chicken curry crepe and it was salty! If I wasn't…read morewith people, I might have complained but it was borderline fine. So...not sure the food is good. I just happen to think the attitude is a little worse. Came with a group and someone in our party ordered the French Onion Soup and then a Croque Monsieur. No one else in our group ordered a starter. What's weird is for some reason they decided to course the soup with everyone's mains. Normal restaurants, including like....your local suburban Chile's, know not to do that but this place thought that was normal. So already, my friend is a course behind everyone because they didn't serve his starter first. What's worse is when he finishes his soup...he doesn't get his main. We actually FINISH our mains and he still hasn't gotten his. He makes a comment VERY NICELY to our waitress like hey! Just wanted to check on my meal! She responds, "all our meals are timed perfectly." What!! My buddy goes, "Okay...I've just been waiting for 15/20 minutes so I think I'm ready for my sandwich." She responds, "okay....let me alert the kitchen." Wait? You didn't even tell them he needed his meal?? We wait another 15 minutes. We flag the waitress again and ask where his meal is and she responds "everything is made to order so the kitchen needs some time." Okay. This is a Croque Monsieur. Are you....rising bread right now? What is happening? So I get frustrated and jump into this and say, "Ya but we've been waiting over 30 minutes for his main. We've all finished so now you're asking my friend to eat alone." She responds, "everything is served hot so what is the problem??" !! I get annoyed because up until this moment, we've been pretty nice. But this waitress not acknowledging any issue or trying to make it better and talking back to us like this is weird. So I just say, "Bring a manager over." Well...it didn't matter. This lady learned her attitude from somewhere and it was probably from the manager. The manager immediately is on the offense like, "you ordered a soup and we wanted you to have the soup hot. And we want your next meal to be hot. We make everything fresh and we clean our dishes in between." The heck? All we want is for my friend to be able to eat his main. So I say, now rudely, "just bring the food. We have waited 30 minutes now. Everyone is done with their meal. If you haven't made it, cancel the order and we'll go somewhere else." She responds, "we usually serve the starter first. If you didn't like that, then don't order a starter." SERIOUSLY!? What is happening!? I think about telling her that USUALLY even if only 1 person has ordered a starter, that gets served first before EVERYONE gets their mains TOGETHER. Instead I say, "listen, cancel the order or give us the food but we aren't waiting any longer." And she goes, "we can't cancel it. The kitchen has been working on it." So I say "this better be home baked bread because they've been working on it for 45 minutes by now." IT STILL takes another 5 minutes to get this meal. It is cold. It is an average Croque Monsieur. And they probably all spit in it. At the very end, the waitress comes over and says, "I see what you mean and there were coursing issues but we take pride in our food and we weren't going to degrade that so we could serve you faster." This place literally lives up to a Parisian stereotype, I guess.

I highly recommend the tuna croissant sandwich. It was fresh, delicious, and one of my favorite items on the menu. The waffles are also very good, especially when they're served fresh and hot. The only thing I wasn't impressed with was the crepes. They were a little undercooked for my taste, so the texture wasn't quite right. Other than that, the café has a pleasant atmosphere with comfortable seating, making it a nice spot to meet friends or take a break.

I ordered the Cafe Special, a type of crepe loaded with cream and adorned by various fruits and Nutella. It was fairly pricy but delicious all the same. If you like sweet, this menu offering will do the trick. For the cost, I could've used a bit more food (you only receive a single crepe with your order). The presentation of my food was appealing. However, the server placed the crepe atop a piece of tissue paper on the plate. While eating, this tissue paper was a distraction and I ended up cutting through it multiple times. Crepe Cafe isn't a standalone restaurant but rather a kiosk in the mall (just look for the scale-accurate red whales hovering from above if you're lost). While I can't expect extraordinary ambiance owing to this place's location, cleanliness should be a given. One of the tables I wanted to sit at was visibly dirty. A different high-top had a pair of gloves (without a human owner) atop it. Overall, Crepe Cafe was a nice (if unexpected) treat to find. The price could just be a little lower and the tables a little cleaner.

I met a friend here for brunch--I hadn't heard of the place but when we were looking for a halfway point, she discovered this restaurant. I'm glad that I took my preschooler with me because there were so many fun bits. The place is elegant, but playful and full of whimsy. It feels like a place made for a princess. The food was good, but overpriced, so you're paying for that fanciful meal. They only had one item in the kid's section, and it was more expensive than items for adults often are--$19 for a kid's item. Truly wild. Since it was questionable if my daughter would eat the ham or eggs, I opted to get the breakfast board for the table since it had waffles, pancakes, and fruit. She was ecstatic when she saw it, and I was charmed by the presentation--it's October, so they had decorated it in a Halloween theme. They also had a Halloween menu, and the witches brew looked good, but we all stuck to the standard menu for our meal. I ordered the enchiladas suizas and it was very good, but again, overpriced I think. Mocktails are almost always too high (why am I paying alcohol prices for drinks without alcohol?) but I got one for my daughter and I anyway. Again, this restaurant knocks it out of the park with regards to presentation. They had a lot of seating indoors, and there were tons of tables outside as well. I'm not sure if they were totally following the 90-minute rule today because even though it was a beautiful Sunday at the beginning of October, we were seated immediately and there were tables available both in and outdoors the entire time we were there. But anyway, be forewarned that they have a time limit for tables, so you don't want to spend forever making your decision. There's no dedicated parking lot for the restaurant, so you'll be looking at the surrounding streets or the couple lots that are nearby. No reservations accepted.
